The super awesome toy museum in Sweden that has ponies!

My fiancee and I have been on holiday in Sweden last week, and I found this ad about a fun toy museum in a small village. We decided to go check it out, expecting some toy trains and tin soldiers, but instead we found this amazing museum that has SO MANY toys! A lot of them were from the 80's and 90's like Lego, Barbie, Polly Pocket and Playmobil, but they even had a lot of modern toys as well like Bionicle and movie-tie ins from Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Of course I was hoping to see some ponies, and sure enough they had a few! It was SO cool to see toys I actively collect on display in a museum! Eep I was so excited They had a bunch of gen1 ponies with some European exclusives, and a bunch of fakies thrown into the mix (I don't think they knew that much about ponies), plus the school and kitchen playsets. Their gen1's looked really nice with bright pink hair on some of them.

The castle museum in Turku in Finland also has at least one g1 pony, sparkle pony Sky Rocket. It's 4 years since I was there, though, so I don't know if she has gained any friends. I'll look out the picture later. I guess Scandinavia is well ahead in pony appreciation!

When I die I might have in my will that my ponies can go to this museum!!!! =P They need more ponies, too much barbies!!! I need to visit that museum someday, I had no idea Sweden has a toy museum!!!

Cool! That's just about two hours by bus/train from where I live and I didn't even know it existed. Gotta visit sometime.

Very cool! I've been to the toy museum here in Stockholm (Leksaksmuseet), but I was sorely disappointed that they had absolutely no ponies at all. I was tempted to ask if I could donate some of my ponies (duplicates) for them to be included, but I wasn't sure if you can do that?

Naw I didn't unfortunately, I was too excited by all the cool things they had! We did talk to the 'owner' for a while, but mostly about other toys and how their collection came to be; apparently it's a family thing, with the grandpa & son being responsible for most of the trains, and their children for the other toys. Their daughter was responsible for the ponies & barbies, but she wasn't there when we visited.

I did consider donating some ponies, but I didn't have any spares with me! It would be cool if they had at least one of each generation!
