Anyone have any ideas? Since the head is on a ball and socket joint, I'm not sure what the best way to get into the head will be. And I have NO IDEA how we're supposed to get the the tail, other than maybe brute force yanking or perhaps splitting the pony in half . . .

Thanks! I love looking at other people's swiftwind customs - especially since I don't have to paint them. The resolution of this photo is good enough that you can see I just can't get the coat to go on smooth. I am definitely enjoying this one more from a distance.
I was thinking of doing Storm - Catra's horse - but there isn't any silver or gray bait, and I am not about to attempt a full-body repaint. I'd rather live with a different body color. I've thought of using a Twilight bait - sort of a pinkish purple Storm . . .
You can try watering down the paint to get the overall paint job to be smoother. It will take many more coats though. I'm not quite sure how metallic paint will water down since I haven't tried it yet.
Also Storm would be super awesome.
I guess I've only watered down paint when painting symbols, and l just wasn't happy with the result. Either way, I can't get the paint to make fine lines, so I just gave up. As for an FBR . . . shudder ~

Hey, has anyone used DollyHair.com lately? Are they running smoothly at the moment, and is the stock page for ponies up-to-date. I've used them before years ago, and it's my favorite hair that I've used.
Second question - is there a good color match for Moondancer's streak?
Bonus question - Dollyhair seemed to have the most spot-on hair for G1s - is there anything better out there these days, or are they still the closest?
Super ultra maximum bonus question - am I right in thinking that Whitecap has the exact same hair and streak as Glory?

Has anyone redeemed the free digital download with the BlueRay? I'm trying to figure out if I should do iTunes or UltraViolet--can we do both? Can you download the UV version, or do you have to stream online? Looks like you should be able to download those . . .
