Sunfading with an Ottlite

(1/3) > >>

DaffyDilly:
I've seen stories of people using daylight lamps, such as Ottlites, to sunfade ponies.

Is it honestly worth the £30 investment? I do have ponies that I'd like to sunfade within a month and it's still a bit dreary at this time of year, but I don't know whether the Ottlite would be better than just taping them all to the window!

lovesbabysquirmy:
I *think* it worked well for the last person who tried it, it just HAS to be on maximum settings.  Was the search engine able to find the thread on the old Arena about the experiment?

DaffyDilly:
I haven't been able to use the search engine on the archived forum at all. :(

Would any day light lamp do the trick? You can get unbranded ones for less than £10 is all I'm thinking.

Obsydian:
Oh shoot I thought this thread said omelette and I thought we were putting eggs on the ponies and it would fade them. Eep!

hathorcat:
Didnt BlackCurtains do an experiment with different types of light recently...I am sure the result was along the lines of only natural sunlight working but I dont remember which types of other light were actually used!
