WOW! It looks like I am not the only one that had a stressful year!
So, we started the year off paying off the house and the truck loan at the end of January! It was so exciting knowing that I down owe the bank any more money! A few weeks later I had to take my parents to a doctor appointment for eye surgery that my mom had two months before. It did not go like it should had and she is struggling to get the eyesight back in it. It did not help that she had horrible inflammation in it before she had the surgery. While we were at this appointment, I was feeling a little weird. A few days later I felt horrible! I went 4 days like that and broke down and went into the Doctors office. Come to find out I had flu. I asked for some liquid albuterol just in case with having asthma. A week later I was struggling to breath! This was the second week of February. So, I went back into the Doctors office, and they gave me some steroids to take. I took those for another week, and it was getting even worse to breath. I went back in for a 3rd time and had some tests done on me. I was told I was getting 100% oxygen, and they did not know why I was struggling so bad. Told to keep taking the steroids. A few days after that appointment I started to get a weird feeling in my chest. My ribs and back hurt from struggling to breath! I noticed that I was getting an irregular heartbeat. Never had that before in my life. I could not do anything without getting out of breath and getting dizzy. So, by the end of March, I left work again sick and went back in! I saw someone different. I cried my brains out with this new Doctor and told her everything that has been going on. She ordered some bloodwork right away. Listened to my lungs. One of the labs came back a little high. She ordered more bloodwork and also ordered a CT scan. I went across the hallway and got a CT scan right away. I sat in the room and waited. She was so very nice and listened to me! She came back into the room and told me they did not see any blood clots in my heart or lungs so that was good news. But they saw something in my right breast tissue and something in my thyroid location. They wanted me to get an ultrasound for both of them. She ordered a heart monitor for 14 days also. So, after 14 days I got the heart monitor off and was told it looked good. Showed 1% PCV but it's nothing to worry about. So, I went back in an got a mammogram and two ultrasounds. Ended up seeing the lung Doctor and got put on another inhaler that helped me so much! I could breathe again!! They were not too worried with what they say on the breast part. I was told that I should have it done again in 6 months. So as of right now we are in May. They did the ultrasound on my neck and was looking at my thyroid. The lady said she could not see it all. The Doctor came in and he ordered me to get another CT scan. So, I had to wait another 2 weeks for a second CT scan. I went in and got the scan done. The wonderful lady Doctor called me and told me that my thyroid was growing into my chest cavity location and that I needed to see an Endocrinologist. So, I had to wait weeks to see the Endocrinologist. Had to drive an hour to see one. Had an exam and had to have it biopsied 4 times. It came back as thyroid tissue and showed cancer free what they had taken. But was told that I needed to have it removed. I had a 5.7cm substernal goiter on it. (I also forgot to note that I had to get on anxiety meds due all the stress of this medical stuff.) This was about the middle of June, and I had hit my max out of pocket with my insurance by then. $5,750 And week later I met with the surgeon to get looked at. I begged her to get me in before July 1st. My insurance was starting over then! She could not get me in any sooner than July 23rd. My heart sank because I would be going to have to pay that $5,750 again! So, I could not do anything but be stressed over that and the surgery. So now I had to wait 4 weeks till my surgery. Two weeks later my mom calls me one night. My mom never calls me ever! Unless it's something not good. I was scared and wondered if it was something about my dad. Come to find out my mom's brother was found dead on the farm. He lived by himself and got rid of all forms of communications years ago. What happened was the electric company was trying to get a hold of him. So, they reached out to another sister. They went out to the farm, and he was answering the door. So, they called, and the sheriff came out. They broke into the house and found him in the bathroom. The bad thing was he looked to have been there for a month! And this house did not have any AC on. So that added even more stress! A week after the funeral I went in for surgery. I had my right side removed and kept the left side in. I have a picture of the side they took out. WOW! No wonder I had been feeling like crap for the last few years! I had to stay overnight to have it tested. It did come back with some pre cancer spots. But I was in the good. I have to have my other side monitored every year now. So, I went home and started my healing process. I started to feel great for 3 weeks and then started to go backwards after that. I had my 5 week follow up and ended up that I had hypothyroidism now. I have to be on meds now forever! I have had a few other Doctor appointments this year now and feel like I should be 70 years old because of them all. LOL I do still get my heart palliations time to time. I am also working on trying to get myself stronger again. I lost a lot when being sick these last few years. I have had other things going on also. But these have to be the most stressful parts of it! On one very good note, my wonderful parents helped me with my medical debt. Heres to 2025 being better please! LOL 15
