The Dollhouse / Re: Older Barbies?

I think you would have really good luck with the ken dolls over at evilbay.

As for the other barbies, the one in the middle looks like one of the barbies that came in a barbie/horse set. You could probably get decent for her as well. I don't know the others, sorry.

I have a lot of newer barbies as well as some older barbies from the 90's-2000's. I love Barbie. It's probably my favorite doll line to collect. I'd love to see pictures of your Barbies.  :)

I've always loved the paring of Clawdeen and Draculaura! Especially in the Sweet 1600! Totally cute. Love your other couples too. You have a lot of nice monsters.  :)

I recommend them for sure! I actually like them better than Krissy. They are harder, without the string legs that Krissy has and a lot of them come with bottles right on their hand so you can pose them without having to hunt down accessories!  :)

I was never into collecting dolls as a kid.  People would occasionally buy me barbies but they just sat in the the box.  I fell in love with Monster High Dolls when they first came out.  I was actively collecting but at some point I was overwhelmed with all of the releases and I stopped buying any.  I realized when I didn't miss buying the new ones that I was over collecting new in box dolls.

I like odd dolls but I don't go out of my way to actively collect anymore.  I was hoping Pinkie Cooper would have done better but no new dolls means no spending(so its good).  I'll pick up a Novi Star if I find any, second hand.  I have a really sweet bull terrier doll from some strange doll line, I'd collect them if I could every remember the name of the line.

Pinkie Cooper is adorable but I'm sad it didn't really work out. I can't collect dolls NIB myself. It just doesn't have the appeal. I'm really trying to slow down my collecting right now. So I'll probably just focus on buying clothes from now on.

I think together we help keep the dollhouse bumping! lol

And Frankie and Adrienne was a total accident. I was just messing around and sat them next to each other and I was instantly in love with how they looked and how their colors matched. It was love at first sight for those girls! And as for the fashionistas, I've noticed something with that line. If I really like a doll, they tend to be wearing something that I wouldn't have chosen for them. And if I don't really care for one of the dolls, it can do her WONDERS by redressing her. I knew I wanted that dress for Kiko the moment I saw it on the barbie it came on. So they swapped. I actually spent a great deal redressing some of my fashionistas today. It makes me feel less guilty when I buy a doll for their clothes when I can put something on her and actually like her! lol I really need to get a better camera. They aren't too pricey so I think since it's tax time I'll probably splurge and get myself one.

Update! So I ordered a fisher price Loving Family dollhouse baby and it turns out my hunch was right. It is almost exactly the same size as Krissy! I'm gonna be hunting down a bunch of different ones of these for my little doll families. Here's a few pictures.

M!ndy your dolls are absolutely adorable! I love the little centaur couple! And the girls hair looks so soft and feathery! I've always loved admiring BJD's

Tax I am in love with your pictures. You must have a high quality camera or something because every single time you post a picture I swoon. I also love that whenever I start a new thread you're always there to chime in!  Seriously this Arena wouldn't be the same without you! That picture of Abbey and Rita is absolutely stunning. I could look at your photos for hours.

After seeing that video I am very disturbed   Why did they split them down the middle like that? Suck a terrible idea! I love the colors. I wish hasbro would make a bright green pony!

I'm with you. And I know it's kind of crappy to say but I'll be kind of glad when FiM/G4 is over and G5 comes along because I got high hopes that they'll go back to something similar to G1 or G3. Until then, I can put my pony collecting on a slow down. I still love G4 and enjoy getting some of the older ones I don't have but I've been burnt out on the main 6 for years now and the reboot/g4.5 kind of put the nail in the coffin.

Umm... I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I've been having a go at designing a reboot for Novi Stars myself
I figured that main gimmicks would be shared by all of the dolls within one assortment, so you could have a number of lines at different price points instead of having to raise/lower prices to accommodate for dolls with more complex gimmicks within lines (electronic vs scented for example)...
Also elbow/knee articulation in addition to what they had already is a must, at least in the case where it doesn't hinder the gimmick or increase the price point due to complexity (I've thought quite a lot about this, as you can tell...)  ^.^

I call this line 'Stellar Scents' and it has one returning character (Ari!) plus three new ones I designed.. I hope you like it!

Those are adorable! I would love to see them become actual dolls!

This may sound silly to some, but I enjoy posing my dolls as couples. (yes, I am a grown woman lol) Anywho, I was wondering if anyone else enjoyed this? If so I'd love to see your doll couples! Here are my two favorite couples currently.

Let's get a couple pictures thread going!
