What do you guys think about getting Alolan eggs from the friendship gifts? I've hatched one so far and it was a Meowth. It's hard for me to keep an open space since where I work I can reach two stops and I spin them a lot. Even if you have an open egg space you might not get an egg from a gift. My husband has two open spots and is afraid to visit any stops before he can get eggs from gifts.
Overall it's an interesting feature and adds a different kind of challenge.

Yeah, I know what you mean about avoiding spinning stops in order to stop egg slots from filling with regular eggs. Currently I’m just trying to keep an eye on egg slots; I keep them all full and once an egg hatches I quickly open a gift  and usually one of the gifts will have an Alolan egg which I then incubate. I’ve been buying super incubators because I’m impatient (but only with in-game gym money so far; I haven’t given into buying incubators with real money . . . yet.) It does help the Alolan eggs hatch faster, of course, which is a nice feeling. I’m really hoping to hatch a white Vulpix but they’re pretty rare!

Already frustrated with the eggs. I've hatched 3 and two were meowths and 1 a rattata. Rattatas are spawning all over here why the heck would I want to hatch one?? Lol still having fun overall though. I like seeing the stops people got gifts from!

NinaMarie, I feel you on the eggs! Why Rattata, Niantic? Lol. A lot of mine have been Rattata; I’ve had several Meowth; and one Grimer and some Sandshrews, which are really cute! (I’ve been using super incubators and getting egg distance like a crazy person). I want to get enough Grimer candy to make a technicolor Muk My grail is Alolan Vulpix. Waiting for her will make it all the more special when I get her. Or at least that’s what I tell myself

Accepted your friend request, Lempuri! Hope you get your Alolan Persian, Sapphire Rain. Regular Meowth candy counts toward Alolan candy, too, so you can catch as many of those as you see. Right now I’m slowly collecting Vulpix candy . . .
