I'm lucky in that my husband is incredibly supportive.  He's funded most of my collection, knows who is on my want list and very seldom fusses at me when I "go check the pony aisle real quick."  The only time he gets upset with it is if I've been on a buying spree (or just bought someone super hard to find), and he'll ask if I can maybe take a small break from buying for a while.  In fact, I'm in a non-pony month right now for that very reason, and am getting my pony fix by doing a photo and description index of who's physically in my collection.  He's never thought twice about me having a pony room and actually will brag about how awesome my collection is to people he deems appropriate to do so.  I'm a lucky girl :)

My husband is mildly amused by it all but is very tolerant.  Especially when ponies take over the house for cleaning, photography, shipping and all the other stuff involved with selling them.  As long as I'm not destroying our finances with ponies, he's a happy camper.  And my rule is ponies must pay for ponies so he and I get along just fine. ;)

Exactly!  Mr. Skeen occasionally shows a mild interest and has his favorites.  He can name a surprisingly high number of ponies, but any he doesn't know are automatically "Magic Star."

Hubby is a total enabler LOL! He tells me to buy them, and lets me have the 3rd bedroom as a pony room. Plus he has a few of his own ponies. We enjoy watching the episodes together, and both read the comics.

Right now I'm single and not even in the mood for romance at all thanks to a really horrible ex. He flat out told me ponies are a waste of money and I shouldn't be spending money on them. But a drum set he doesn't know how to play or a $1,000 guitar speaker to support his crappy bass guitar skills was okay. The double standard infuriated me. I'm glad he's my ex.

My other ex who was with me while I collected was in total support of it, though. He even bought me some pony stuff. Sadly after 5 years of being with me and not even being engaged and no sign of it, I ended things. It wasn't meant to be. But he was a nicer person than the other ex.

My husband fully supports and finances my collection.  When I browse ebay or the Arena he always tells me to buy it if I don't have it.  He is not a collector himself but he likes the fact that I am and always takes the opportunity to tell everyone we come in contact with.  I love my guy!

I've been with my boyfriend for almost six years, and ponies are pretty recent for me. I think at first he didn't realize how many I actually wanted! He always tells me "you have so many!" But he collects action figures and Funko pops and so he understands. His toy collection is larger than my pony one!

My wife is supportive.  She collects Fluttershy, though has slowed up recently.
My kids are ... let's say  ENABLING!  LOL.   Dad GET THAT ONE! XD

That's adorable. :D

My husband is nice about it, but a little teasing. But he has his own spending habits too so it hasn't become a problem at all. He will watch FiM with me, at least, but he's not as big a fan as I am.

Interesting question. What do you think, sweetheart? *Turns head, stares at empty space* Oh, right...

I'm not exactly sure how something like that would go over.  The kinds of women I'd be interested in would probably like something like this, but I couldn't say for certain it wouldn't weird them out.

My husband is the same way :) It's great to have someone so supportive and understanding when it comes to collecting.

I think he is a little uncomfortable with it, but he's never expressed anything negative about my collecting. He teases me about it.  :P
I think the only thing he dislikes is the prices that some of my grails can go for. I think it frustrates him that he can't go pick them up for me for no more than $30 or so to make me happy. He (and sometimes even me) gets overwhelmed that a little vinyl horse toy can go for $100+ sometimes.
