I doubt anyone here actually, seriously thinks Hasbro is The Worst Thing Ever.
It's fun to poke at them though given how many seemingly poor decisions they've made over the years.
(Like Flutter Pony wings; how did that make it past product testing?! )

Also I don't know if this counts since it's from the comics, but what about that Wizard (who inadvertently created TE ponies). Apparently he either dug out the eyes of the ponies so they could work in mines for years (or was it that they lost their sight after working for years?) Either way, some pretty dark stuff!

Yeah, I mentioned that on the first page. I think it's the darkest story in the comics when you really think of the implications it raises.

Most of those happened only long after production, not exactly something that could be predicted (or would necessarily matter) up front.  Even the eyelash princesses... aren't nearly as hideous until they get play worn.  Dubious, but not 'Oh my god kill it with fire'.

it's hard to say who was thier biggest enemy... the G1 ponies only ever had one repeat villain, everybody but the goofy witches were either reformed, or destroyed!

I was just going to complain that four pages into this thread no one had the right answer, that it's me! and then I saw Loa's post.  It's only when quoting it I see that she didn't actually give me special treatment but used the You thing so she got us all.

I'm so disappointed!  hahaha. not as special as I thought for a moment there.

I always hated the spoiled-brat girls like Mae in the Golden Horseshoes and the scullery maid's daughter in the Prince and the Ponies who want to steal ponies and make them pets or just generally eff things up with unreasonable selfishness.  Mae at least came around when you appealed to her better nature but the daughter was just bad through and through!  Nothing worse than being trapped and the plaything of a bully or abuser.  *shudder*

But I think Garth takes the cake
