Cute new G4 to G1 shirt at Hot Topic!

I was browsing Hot Topic earlier for band tee's and thought I'd check their slowly dwindling pony selection and found this super cute shirt!

It's a throwback thursday shirt featuring Pinkie, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash as G1 ponies in the new retro art!

Love it!!!! But why grey, grey doesn't look good with my skin tone
Maybe I'll get it as a sleep shirt or cut the image out and put it on a sweatshirt or tote.

I can't figure out if I like it or not! I feel like I wanna see G1s , not G4s with the "retro" style. But Applejack -- she looks good no matter what gen she represents.. hahaha.

It seems strange that they don't just have the regular G1s.  It might be confusing to some people.

I suspect that your average person won't know the difference.  In fact, I suspect that who ever designed it didn't know that RD and PP aren't G1.  Either that or they purposefully designed it this way to try to attract both the brony crowd and the collectors.

It's cute but I don't think I'm going to get it.  I already have 2 retro shirts and a sea pony shirt that I mostly just were around the house or to sleep in.

My thoughts on the matter, lol. The shirt is nice, but I rarely wear graphic t-shirts so it would just collect dust in a drawer.

I think they knew what they were doing. It's just the play on the idea of 'throwback thursday' with G4 and G1. We've had a similar shirt in the past where they used the G1 inspirations for the mane 6 in the retro style that said 'brony' on it.

My only complaints are that I wish applejack had a green bow and RD didn't have one at all. I'm just personally fond of generation mashups like this.

I think for some it's going to be a hit or miss. I love G1 but I'm not particularly fond of the G4 main six any more... Especially RD.

Either way, cute shirt but I won't get it

I'm just the opposite! I am so glad to see Applejack the way she will always look in my mind, which thankfully (for me anyway) is not much different than G4 Applejack which is probably why she is one of my favorite of the G4 ponies.
I'm not a fan of a lot of HTs shirts unless I can see them in person first as I've found some of their sizing to be hit-or-miss for me, but I wouldn't say no to this shirt.
