Overated ponies?

There's this one certain pony whose name will I will not mention. Oh yeah. Very overrated.

110% this. Basically all of fan-favorite background ponies of G4, I mean they're in the background for a few episodes then fans make up everything about them- it's basically like an OC, and I am usually not attached to other people's OC's

I love Rapunzel because she's one of my favorite color combinations for ponies and I'm obsessed with long hair and the fairytale, but I agree her symbol is weird. I wish it was just the tower.   

I think DJ Pon3 and Dr. Whooves are so overrated.

I'm going to steer clear of anything G4 since it can be such a hot topic (I agree with what others have mentioned so far) and just mention G1 Firefly. I did love her character in the animated special, but I hated her toy pose as a kid. (I still do!) Talk about donkey pose, with the weird one leg raised and the duck face expression.

On the other hand I completely adore G1 Fizzy and I imagine she's pretty popular because 1.) she has a pretty dark coloring which is uncommon in the pastel world of MLP and 2.) her cartoon personality is so cute, I really like how she's always chipper in the face of danger.

I don't really understand why Minty is so popular. She was the pony EVERYone seemed crazy about to make into a G4 and I just don't really get why? Why not the vast number of other G3s that are just as pretty? Don't get me wrong, I think she's cute and I have her in both G3 and G4 form because she reminds me of Christmas and those are some of my favorite types of ponies, but I certainly have lots of other ponies I'd pick over her.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one that doesn't like G3 Minty. Never understood that following she has.

Rapunzel is another pony I'm not that big on. But I'm don't really like pink ponies in general.

For G4 Trixie is the one who's popularity surprises me. Her voice and attitude in the show are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Well i love mimic coz i love parrots if she (i actually call her a he dunno y just always have) was the cheapest one would still want her just as much. Rapunzel well i have always loved long hair i mean my own hair is super long so again if she was cheap would still want just as much. Bugs me that she is so expensive

I don't no about a specific pony wouldn't rule anyone out.
But its the piggy spanish (think there spanish) pose ones they kinda creep me out. I get y people like them because they are different bit quirky. But they just freak me out a bit think its the eyes ... well and the shape.

I don't no the other gens so nc there

Rapunzel for me, I don't think she's a pretty pony at all. Also Munchy and Big Brothers.. I just can't get myself to like the boys! I wish I did though.

Rainbow Dash and Muffin Pony. Rainbow Dash just has these moments when I want to turn off the tv and chuck the remote at it. As for muffin pony, I just don't get the hype.

Also, Gusty's color scheme makes me cringe.

G4 Diamond Rose--I think she looks gross! Also hate Rapunzel--she is one of the ugliest ponies ever to me.

Rainbow Dash for me.  She's all right but um, yeah.  I do not get the hype.

Rapunzel is ok.  I think she's a bit overpriced.

for me, the muffin pony is quite overrated. i agree with that.
mimic is not so special for me colorwise but rapunzel is nice, because i like fairytales and the rapunzelcustoms Pandabear-chan made! (even in different colors).

As many people in this thread have mentioned, I have never liked Mimic, at all.
