Something my toys made me think of...

Ok.... I don't know if this is the right board for this but I'm gonna post it here. If this is the wrong place you can move it.
Anyhow...  This has to do with the whole "Twilight Sparkle" becoming an alicorn thing.

I think that's acutally something that shouldn't have surprised people because it is one of the more popular directions that hasbro likes to take their leads.

Now I don't know how many of you collect other lines from hasbro but in addition to my ponies, I also collect Transformers.
SO last night I was dusting every one and I happened to set my Twilight sparkle down next to one of my MANY(he's my fave char) Optimus Primes.
I stopped and looked at them for a second and realized what hasbro is up to.
Basically... for lack of better terminology... Twilight Sparkle is a female Optimus prime.
I know... I can see someone going .. HUH?
But its true.
Tho I doubt her name will change, they are basically the same character type. The scholar type that for what ever reason suddenly has something happen to them and they become a leader or someone VERY important in the story line.
Typically TFS have always been for guys and MLP have been for girls.
Despite the fact that this is the 21st century and both guys and girls love each line... there are people out there.. apparently at hasbro that feel that way still.
But be it an action driven "Guys" show like TF's or a more story line driven "Girls" show Like MLP... hasbro LOVES this type of character.
Because they KNOW people can relate.

So I think it acutally is pretty cool that they are using the idea for BOTH types of shows.
Any how.. just a lil observation I made compliments of my toys.
Thought you all would get a kick out of it.

Yep.. originally he was a libararian Named Orion Pax... and then the same kinda thing happened to him... and he became Optimus.

Is that how Prime is in the newer cartoons?  In the old ones he was more like Megan than anyone else . . . the straightout leader who everyone followed unquestioningly.

To be honest I found him to be the blandest of the Transformers because he was so generically Good, although not nearly as bad as Megan.

That's G1 Optimus Prime, though, maybe they've changed him since then.

Yah im more familar with TF prime than the old ones.. but thats how it is.. and in the books ive read too.. so its pretty cool.

In the newer one hes a lot more interesting... the season finale for season one involved him litterally loosing his mind and memories and thinking he was Still Orion.
