Greetings! It’s been quite awhile since I last posted some customs here (almost 2 years, ack). I gravitated over to Facebook, but I miss sharing ponies here and looking at the all new custom posts.
These are some the ponies that I’ve made within the past year and half.
My most recent ponies were Sugar Skull ponies:

I’ve also been making galaxy ponies with my airbrush. I think they’re my favorite type of custom to make — I always have the most fun with my airbrush while doing them.

I’ve also made several peacock dress ponies within the past couple years. They’re definitely the most time-intensive customs that I’ve worked on.

Wow Mana_Mihara, your brush strokes are so neat and even. The sugar skulls are beautiful! Have you see The Book of Life? La Muerte's character in that is what I am reminded of on the second G4, and your teal G1 is so eye catching! :good:

so nice seeing these here .
having seen your galaxies in person, I can say they are truly amazing

These look amazing! I love space or galaxy themed ponies and these are beautiful galaxy ponies! YAY! And the sugar skull ones have so much detail! I’m not sure how on earth you made those beautiful peacock ponies. But they look absolutely stunning! Sort of a masquerade ball vibe on them. How did you do it? I must know this secret. Not that it’s of much use to me, as I don’t usually make customs. But I must obtain the knowledge!

Well done on such superb customs! :thumb:
I can see that you had a lot of fun with your airbrush :)
Lovely sugarskull painted faces :art:
and wow - the peacock ponies are sooo intricate, it must have taken a lot of time (and a steady hand) to complete these beauties! :lovey:

I follow your posts on Facebook but it's so great to see your customs here again!
The galaxy brother and Persephone are my favourites, wow!
-
Witch - Thanks so much! I find that airbrush paints go on so smooth…they work the best for me in getting a nice even coat of paint, ha ha. I haven’t seen The Book of Life, but its on my watchlist!
Roogna - I wish the photos could catch the shiny pearl paint in the galaxy ponies. You can really only see it person.
Mewtwofan1 - I’m so glad you like them! That’s the exact vibe I was going for with the peacock dress ponies. To make those dresses, I have to use armature wire that I attach to the pony’s butt and shape it into the the general shape of the skirt. I lay the feathers down individually on the wire from bottom to top. It makes everything sturdier. :)
glitterball - Thank you! :) They definitely do take quite a bit of time to complete, but seeing the end product makes it all worthwhile. They aren’t perfect, and an artist trained in sculpture could do much better, but I’m happy with what I’m able to do.
Griffin - It’s easier to post on Facebook, but I’ve definitely missed this forum. I’m so glad you follow me on Facebook, though! Do you have a page for your art? I’ve always loved your ponies.

I would love to play around with an airbrush on a custom pony, but I don't trust myself to not make something horrendous. Book of Life is actually a surprisingly good film. The two gods, La Muerte and Xibalba are really beautiful characters.

I have missed your customs! Those galaxy ponies are divine, maybe one day I will manage to get one too. :lovey:

They're all so very lovely with such fantastic details! Thank you for sharing. :o)

Witch - Experimenting with the airbrush is so much fun, though. I’ve done plenty of color combos, patterns, etc. that have turned out pretty hideous to me. I just start over and try something new. Ha ha. You can easily get a fairly cheap airbrush that comes with a compressed air can to start off with — that way you’re not investing a lot of money, and you can just do whatever!
Uninu - Thank you so much! I can’t seem to stop making the galaxy ponies. I just have too much fun with them. They’ve become a good way to help my brain unwind. Ha ha.
mlp4me - I’m so glad you like them! :)

Definitely yields really beautiful results. Oneday if I ever get the time to experiment with customs I might try!

Wow Beautiful!

I love the green sugar skull pony and the spacey effects! I've seen your peacock ponies in person, and they are quite a sight to behold. The sculpting is so identical on each feather!

Amazing job! They all look so splendid! I think the peacock girls are my favorites. I love how you added little details, like the decorations above Pinkie's eyes being balloon-ish shaped. <3
