I'd cheat if I was running back for ponies. My super special to me Dazzleglow and all my G2 ponies are near my door.
But realistically my cats would need me to stay with them because they'd be terrified.

Since the only loved one I have living with me is my boyfriend I'd push him out the window and grab all the stuff I can get and throw it out for him to catch. I don't care about anyone else, I don't care if I get burned and die, I can't live without my stuff and I'd end up killing myself if my things burn. They save me from my depression. If I lose them I don't really have anything to live for. But the first thing I'd do if my house was on fire and my room wasn't I'd close the window, close up the hole under the door with wet cloth (I have bottles of water in my room), shed water on me and my stuff and put on my gas mask. Then save my collections. Fire is my biggest fear. I turn everything off when I go out and close the door to my room on a latch when I sleep.

I have to agree. Much as it would be crushing to know all of my ponies were gone, cannot imagine pushing my luck like that to run back in for any of them, not even my custom Dancing Jello. My cats would be freaking out and with one being blind there's no chance I'd subject any of them to further stress by leaving their sides.

Probably the first two G1s I could grab leaving my room, in all reality though I'd be more likely to save the stuffed animal I got from my grandma, some of my star wars things, or my keepsake box in my closet

However, in all honesty, I'd probably be more concerned about my photos and computer.

The Sorbet a dear friend gave me is on my desk at work so is safe from a home fire.
Trick question though, I'd never get all my birds out before the smoke overcomes me.

For me it would have to be my G4 wingless prototype styling Rainbow Dash and my G1 TAF baby Sugarberry. The rest are so much more easily replaced than those two. :heart: :heart:

Being realistic, I'd grab my guitars but in terms of ponies, there's no question - I'd rescue Posey and Windy; they're both replacements for my childhood favourites, so they mean the most to me. Here they are! :)

Hmmm... This was a tough one to decide, but I think, out of all of my vast collection of ponies, my G4 Blossomforth is definitely a top priority for me, because she just means so much to me, and do plushies count? Because I would rescue my Twilight Sparkle plush even before Blossomforth, because she's very important to me, I use her as kind of a "comfort plush" and usually hug her whenever I feel bad (whether mentally or physically) and bring her pretty much everywhere I go (I know, kind of childish of me, but that's just how I am).

Oh such a tough question. Once my ponies are out of storage and in my soon to be built pony room it would be my childhood Gusty, she's my #1 priority. But currently she's in a box in the basement and I have no idea which one since hubby has been moving all the boxes around while we develop the basement. So from the ponies displayed in my office I would grab Brazilian Baby Gusty and probably UK Baby Gusty. So hard to choose since I have some mail orders and some Euro babies in the office too and they'd all be so easy to grab. In reality I'd be shoving whatever I could save from my various collections into a bag and running. I have 2 kids, 2 dogs and 4 hamsters to get out first though so I doubt I'd have time for rescuing any collectibles. Such a sad thought.

I'd have to say my Mirror Mirror and MM Windy. These two are replacements of 2 of my childhood ponies and it wasn't easy to find ones that still have their symbols fully intact.

I would go with the two most expensive ponies like alt birthflower morning glory and maybe my MIB pony baby surprise or /surprise That way if I had to sell those ponies(my heartbreaking here then I could buy some more ponies to start up the collection again.) This is if big IF my family made it out to safety first (2 cats included.)

I'd rescue Blueberry Baskets and Baby Glory because both have a lot of sentimental value for me. I used to use Baby Glory as my online name because she was the daughter of my first pony, and because she's so pretty and has a comet symbol. I'd play with her as a young collector. Blueberry Baskets I got later, when I started collecting again; she's one of the loveliest ponies ever. It really would be so hard to choose, though.
I can say that when a hurricane was headed for my area when I was a teenager, I took Baby Glory and Baby Moondancer and maybe a few other ponies with me to the shelter; we obviously couldn't bring much or I would have taken so much more with me. :blush: Thankfully and unpredictably the hurricane veered east and our house and the rest of my ponies were fine.

Luckily for me most of my most special ponies are in a cabinet right next to the door, so I could hopefully grab a few on my way to safety.

I'm always enchanted by that Philippe as one would make a great customized Nevada. Do you know what the toy was called exactly? Must find one.

Maddie I'd sell him to you but...I kinda sleep with him....he's emotionally fragile and wouldn't like to be customized. He was looking at me fearfully and didn't calm down until I curled up with him.

So in May of last year my house DID burn down! My thoughts were not on ponies at all. I grabbed my kids and our pets and ran for it. 20 minutes later the fire department arrived and my mind started functioning normally again. I started screaming at them to put out the fire in the master bedroom where I had a corner cabinet filled with some expensive ponies. Greek Ladybird and a bunch of other Nirvanas. I also had my flutters with wings and my brother ponies with accessories in there. When the fire was out the house was a complete loss. They let me go in to see what we could find and I was shocked to find that the cabinet didn't burn! It got hot and melted the wings off my flutters and singed some hair. I have to replace about four of them. The rest are fine! Sadly I lost all of my accessories, about 15 years worth of collecting. But that's ok! I get to start hunting for them again. The best part in my scenario is that the bulk of my collection was in the basement and everything survived including all of my MOCs which would have been devastating to lose!
But to answer the original question. If I would have been thinking about it the two I would grab is Applejack and Baby Applejack. My absolute favorite ponies! (They were in the cabinet and are completely fine ;))

Sorry no pictures but I have my collection set up with this situation. I have my childhood ponies: medley, skyflyer, bride pony, merry treat, twinkle, sunspot, Tiffany, and primrose in a box stand. I can actually grab that box stand with one hand and carry them out. My other ponies lost their lived to my mom throwing them into a burn pile, I will not let a fir take them as well:p hahaha.

Not sure if you're referring to my baby Gusty's but if you are, the earth pony Gusty is Brazillian. The unicorn is UK. :)

I'm so sorry you actually had this happen to you, so scary! I'm relieved that most of your collection was ok though and no one was hurt.

My ponies ARE my loved ones, so from the way you worded the question I must hope that all of my ponies are safe!
But in a real situation, I'd probably go down with the ship. I wouldn't be able to leave my ponies to die in the fire!
Okay, okay -- you want me to really answer the question? I would definitely grab Bright Eyes (MLP Tales). Not sure who the second one would be... maybe my perfectly flocked Gusty? But considering my ponies are mostly packed away right now, I'd have trouble grabbing specific ones. And I also can't take pictures atm. :(

Thanks everyone! It was traumatic at the time but we are all safe and the house is being rebuilt. My ponies are mostly fine and my family is completely safe. Best scenario for that kind of thing to happen.

Reading this thread makes me want to build a fireproof safe in the wall to store my ponies and money in. And also make a bed in there - I'm terribly scared of fire :lookround:
