If they're showing up in Big Lots stores already it sounds like they're skipping normal distribution and heading straight for close-outs.
I know around here the same items have been kicking around forever - my TRU still has Pinklestias and CMC wedding sets. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of places are in similar positions and just aren't ordering stock.

I love the thrill of the hunt, and the excitement of finding one. But I REALLY want all 8 non-mane 6, and no way will I be able to find them all. And they are cheaper than they will be in stores here. But on the other hand I do prefer MIB over loose.....

I can't speak for Thunderwing, but I had a similar situation in a Scarborough Walmart (hi neighbour!). Found a random pearly Pinkie maybe a month or so ago, and then the last time I went she was gone and there was nothing else recent. I hardly step into Walmart but that specific store has not had a real pony section for like half a year; maybe fifteen pony/EQG toys out at a time mixed in with Zelfs, Tsums, and LPS, so I'm honestly surprised there WAS something new all of a sudden.

To anyone who actually has a pearlized one, is the hair actually nice, or is it not so good and thin?? The G4 ponies lately have been pretty cheap when it comes to the hair, so I was just wondering. The latest "explore Equestria" ones that I have don't even compare to the ones around 2010-2012 ish. Still can't believe they haven't upped the quality :huh:

Ouch, yeah much cheaper on HTS if you can catch them online.. took me 3 tries to get RaRa but I was able to.. Alrighty, since a lot of you have found them and picked them up, I have a question. How is the hair on these ponies?
I've heard mixed things, some saying it's like the articulated ponies where the mane and tail are that horrible hydrophobic hair, and some saying that it's the good-quality hair from the earlier G4 releases. So I'm clearly stumped on which it is. I skipped the articulated ponies even though I was intrigued by them because of the hair quality (FS SunShim's tail was such a turn off that I ended up selling her), so if the pearlized ponies are stuck with the same awful hair, I guess that's the end of my excitement for Pretzel. :(

I actually haven't seen Pursey in my area and we have 3 possible stores that would carry her... I'll have to check again though.. and pearl ponies are still not in my area but I know Target has Headband ponies.. I just didn't really look for Pursey XD

No, she just took a while to hit stores, I think she's reached most places by now. Even my area, with its crappy distributing, has Twilight, which means her wave is around here.

They are AMAZING in person and so beautiful but their hair (as I expected) was a MESS!!! Nothing looks too bad except poor Sapphire Joy has VERY frizzy hair. I washed and conditioned their hair like 3 times and had to put Sapphire Joy's in curls, but I'd rather have them with messy hair than not at all!!! :yikes: :yikes:

...but not buying them in the stores when they are in the stores is what will tell Hasbro not to distribute to those areas. Which may have nothing to do with the poor distribution but it may have a lot to do with it. It just seems that distribution IS getting worse. I wonder whether Hasbro are looking at it regionally and sending ponies by priority to areas that are selling better.
Entertainer getting them only on the website and not on the shelves is another instance of supply and demand since the possibility is they only have so many, and when they're gone, they get more from Hasbro. There's none of the hassle of sending them all out to stores only to have to discount huge numbers of them if they don't sell across the country. And you have to wonder if the low numbers on some shelves are due to people buying lots of them, or not many being stocked in the first place. To me having only one of each on the shelf suggests the latter.

I think its better to buy them in stores unless they are definitely not going to come out in your country. Because otherwise if everyone buys them on ebay, they may stop coming to your region or your country. And that's the end of G4. Yeah, waiting is a risk. But if the whole line suffers, in some ways that's a bigger risk. That and the fact the ones on ebay, who knows if they've met the safety standards that the others have to go through to get to our shelves. If they're seconds, maybe not.
Not judging anyone because I know the distribution sucks and it makes everyone frustrated. I am just aware that a lot more people are complaining about not being able to find certain ponies now than were doing so in the past, and I wonder how much ebay has to do with it.

checking stock online is generally less reliable, especially with Walmart because they also show stock from other companies.. but in any case I don't see the pearly ones on Walmart's site.. just the ribbon in hair and whatever is left of CM Magic... their mlp listings only go up to page 7 with the actual ponies on the first and 2nd pages while everything else is cards (if you filter by price range being $0 - $5)My Wal-Mart and Big Lots are all over 40 minutes away and I am seriously about to hop in the car to check them out. Stores in my area are only just stocking the headband ponies recently as well, and I've not seen one pearly pony yet, so I'd maybe see if you have a way to check their stock online or over the phone before making a special trip just for them. If you have something else you can do while you're out there, though, then it couldn't hurt to check anyway. :P

Same. And even if we get the 1st wave, there's a chance the 2nd won't show up, and it's almost garunteed the 3rd is gonna have poor distribution. Just the fact that some places are already getting the 2nd wave of pearlized brushables while others have barely even gotten the headband brushables is... not reassuring.

Printed on the ponies. I haven't bothered removing them but acetone will probably take them right off just like symbols and eyes (so long as it doesn't react to the plastic differently)

Staying on topic, I've only seen wave 1 so far and they've all been in supermarkets. Has anyone in the UK seen the other waves yet?
Second wave spotted at Toys XL in the Netherlands here. Never seen the first wave so perhaps we skipped that one.

picked up a Pretzel at Canadian Walmart today. I originally wasn't gonna buy her but she looked so lonely! had to bring her home. the display was a total mess again, saw lots of pinkies and fluttershys, a few twilights. still searching for nurse redheart!!
update: took her out of her package and her hair is all yucky and shes got this strange "oily" feel to her body???! plastisizer cant possibly be leaking out of her already, do the pearlised brushables usually feel this way? also i found her cutie mark flank is scratched up, likely from somewhere in the factory! Boo..what a waste. oh well. : (

I've heard of other Americans finding Wave 1 at Big Lots. I went to mine and they had a fresh shipment of approximately 5 million wave 1 ribbon hair brushables. D:yeah Big Lots is going to be a hit or miss.. like I said with mine.. only 4 of the W1 Pearls.. and I haven't checked back :<
I'll have to try and locate another Big Lots, I think... I'll also be keeping an eye out at Walgreens! Thanks for the info, everyone.

My Coloratura had an oily feel too but it went away when I wiped her down with tissues.
Also I hope these brushables aren't going the way of G2 Hip Holly or some of the G3 Divine Shines. Their plastic was, uh, not great. :lookround:

Awww! :( My roommate and I went to three different Walgreens looking for a Walgreens exclusive Transformers and none of them had him. However, he was available on their website. I hope this is an option for pearly Nurse Redheart too. The Entertainer in Sheffield has some of the pearly ponies in store going for £3.75. No Coloratura, but they had Pinkie, Fluttershy and Starlight Glimmer I believe.

Guess they're finally hitting the shelves before the Christmas rush, but the fact they're on discount may mean they shift quickly. I wonder if it's just a brief gimmick or if they have the later sets to put out after this one is cleared.

CanterCadence, if you have the store local to you now, and need wave 1 still, I suggest you order the pony online and pick it up from your store. That way you pay no extra postage, and they're on sale, so you get the same price online or in store.

They were in the normal pony aisle, mixed in with Cutie Mark Magic ponies. I saw a pearly Fluttershy and had to dig under several other ponies to find the rest of wave 1. :) I was really surprised to see them because that Walmart is terrible about getting new stuff.I'll have to check again. Popped into Toys R Us (UK) earlier today for a few last-minute gifts - and spied pearly Pretzel and Cherry Pie! :enthralled: of course, they were mine... £5 each...
Then in Tesco: the (forget what they are called) 3" brushable ponies with the view-finder in their cutie-mark region - reduced from £9.99 to only £2.50 :shocked: (so I grabbed all the variations that they had left).
Last week at The Entertainer I found pearly Coloratura, Pinkie Pie etc at £3.75 each
My local Smyths did not have the pearlies (as of last weekend).

Yeah in June of 2012 there was a topic for Translucent Rarity.. in July of that same year there was a topic that had both Fluttershy and Rarity... About a year later Translucent Pinkie Pie and Wysteria made an appearance but both of them were covered in glitter instead of it being in the plastic itself... Honestly, I think it was random. I ordered three of each from Hasbro and even if it was the same pony (Pretzel for example) one would have a paper and two wouldn't (or vice versa). It was kind of weird.
Or maybe something to do with the country they were found in and Hasbro's distribution? Maybe some countries/places got the leaflets and others didn't?

yeesh, ive been all over creation and still have yet to find almost any pearlized brushables! :'-0
i couldnt find them in ohio (except for nurse redheart alone by herself at walgreens), or near my grandma in illinois. ive checked walmart, target, shopko, toys r us...nothing! all ive been finding are the posable ones and the explore equestria singles.
im going to check at walgreens and super target tomorrow, but if i dont find them there, i think i'll have to resort to buying online.
I found one of the series 3 at Walmart in Canada! They are coming soon! I wish I knew that they had arrived because I would've bought more of them.
In the US here--I've been on the hunt for wave 3 for a while now. All I've seen are those unusual new molds for this new wave/reboot they're doing.
I've been looking everywhere here in the UK but I haven't been able to find Wave 3 or the reboot ponies. My Tesco's has the headband ponies mixed in with a few Wave 1 pearlies.
Are they only hitting the Walmart Super Centers? I've been noticing that as a pattern around here. Wave 1 & 2 at Super Centers but not regular stores.
So my London TRU has a wide range of stuff, including the glittered body ponies with the mini EQG, but no wave 3 pearlies. They did have wave 1 and 2 pearlies, though, which was odd...

I'm one of the people that have found them. I'm checking again tonight but so far they haven't restocked them and I already traded my extra set
someone posted that they were found in Sweden, so I reached out to a friend in Sweden. Will report back.That sounds promising for other EU regions/countries. I may have to put the parents and sister onto this one because I won't be able to look for myself. I think they will show up, but it might be eventually. Still quite a few old sets on sale here alongside the new ones. Headband ponies and pearly ponies and power ponies all still on shelves here. In Smyths they still have the ones with tinsel in the hair alongside the BRAND new carded Rarity, Pinkie, Lyra. So that kind of organisation doesn't exist in UK stock thought like it seems to in the States. They might show up here for next christmas at this rate.

I found Sapphire Joy, Sea Swirl, and Meadow Flower in my Family Dollar (Provo, Utah, USA) today! Hopefully we will start seeing them more!
I was at dollar general and saw quite a few perlys... I don't remember their names there was a blue one and a pink unicorn and a few othersMust have been wave 1 with Coloratura and Starlight Glimmer :( I'm still waiting to see Wave 3

I got a Coloratura at TRU today! :frolic: I had given up hope of ever finding her in stores, but there she was, the only pearly pony, buried behind a bunch of headband Pinkies!

How strange, found a sea of Twilight and Pretzel, no Cherry Berry or Rainbow Dash. No wave 3 still
I saw wave 1 at Walmart today. It's almost like wave 2 came out before wave 1 lol.
I was able to secure a couple sets of wave 3. I may have an extra set depending if people I got the extras for don't need them.
Wave 1 is Pinkie, Fluttershy, Coluratura, and Starlight Glimmer
Wave 2 is Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Cherry Berry and Pretzel
Wave 3 is Applejack, Meadow Flower, Sea Swirl and Sapphire Joy
Nurse Redheart is a Walgreen's exclusive and showed up at my Walgreen's with Wave 2 (but I've only seen her in stock once).
I REALLY want wave 3. I've been stalking the local Family Dollar since someone reported seeing them there. I'm hoping they'll show up soon. If I can get extras that would be awesome because I'd love to do a pearly Firefly custom with Meadow Flower.
I want them. The only trouble is that if I don't order them from somewhere else they'll never show up here and if I order them from somewhere else, suddenly the market will be saturated around here. That's what happened with the style size Coco Pommel and Starlight Glimmers that I got from Hasbrotoyshop. I ended up ordering the first two waves of pearlies from Hasbro, too, and now those waves are sitting unpurchased at Walgreen's (they still haven't shown up at Walmart, though).

China seconds are fine for customs tho.

I found Wave 2 of the pearly ponies yesterday at my local Target. They were in the Easter section, not the toy aisle. In case anyone is still looking for those...thank you so much for the help! I've been looking for those for about two months now and I was extremely excited to find them.
Im disappointed in Hasbroken's crappy distribution with both the Pearlies and the Titans Returns lines.same. I only found half of wave 1 and all of wave 2. Never found fluttershy, coloratura, or wave 3. It stinks cause I really wanted to get them all.
I really wanted Starlight Glimmer, Sea Swirl and Sapphire Joy. Kiddo wanted Coloratura and Sapphire Joy. You suck sometimes Hasbro.

thank you thank you!! I finally have a family dollar close to me! I was able to pick up a set of wave 3. only found 1 set, and havent been able to check other stores yet. had to run home to take care of dog, who got sick in the car.
I shall venture forth later and try again.

My boyfriend got one for me Dash for my birthday from Amazon. Good thing too, because I never saw the pearly ones in stores!

Still looking for Wave 3, and a couple from Wave 1. :( I found a few stray pearlies at CVS if you guys have one of those near you!
my walmart has the two pack pearlized ones. a great price but the only noteable ones are Cherry Berry and Preztle who are paired with
bore six.
It's happened: New brushables have been stocked, and they are all reboots. In other words, stores have moved from pearlised brushables wave 2 right on to reboot brushables wave 1. :(
My wall mart only has the new ones, or the singles in a bag, no pearly ones, my dollar general only has wave 2 pearly no wave three at all. Work place only has the head band ponies, and some of the water globe ones from wave one!
I've got all of wave 1 and wave 2 and looking for wave 3. None at the three wal-marts I went to so I'm going to check out Family Dollar stores since some people are getting them there. I was surprised to find the pearly nurse pony at Wal greens.
My Family Dollar has nothing of wave 3. =P I still need all four... I have this insane hope that someplace online might still get them. >_<
