We found some (here in the US) in Walamrt, once. On clearance.
Walmart has stopped selling them, sadly. They still have some of the Super Zelfs on clearance on their website, though. -- Congrats on your first Zelfs, DazzleKitty! Which ones did you bring home?

DazzleKitty, you won't have luck at Target, sadly. Toys R Us is the exclusive retailer of Zelfs in the USA.

Awww! Are we for sure that the butterfly set is AU exclusive? Distribution on Zelfs is bad enough without geographical exclusives. Very frustrating. They are so cute though! Yes, unfortunately, several collectors have emailed Moose to ask if these will be sold in other countries, but each response has confirmed that the Butterfly Friends Forever set will be sold only in Australia. A rep from Moose even told one person they don't think it would sell well in the USA (or, presumably, elsewhere).  I think Zelfs in general could actually be a big seller in the USA, if other retailers besides TRU stocked them! It's so frustrating.

Someone on Facebook also posted about a three pack of butterfly zelfs that was exclusive to Australia. Does anyone have any more information about them? Is there anyone in AU who could nab these for US collectors?
Seconding this! Help me out, Aussies! I want this set so bad I could almost cry, but apparently Moose has no plans to sell it outside Australia. I'm desperate! Will sell kidneys, first born children, etc...  Ha ha.

Quite a few of the Series 2 Lil' Zelfs are made of different plastic painted over, either the clear glitter plastic, or solid white plastic. I guess maybe they did that because they couldn't achieve the colors they wanted in the solid plastic (just a theory). Even so, I don't understand it, and the painted-over Zelfs don't look nearly as nice as the solid-colored ones, in my opinion. I'm actually quite a bit disappointed in the Series 2 Lil' Zelfs for this exact reason, and I find myself liking Series 1 more, even though the newer Series has so many cute new poses.

The top tier is all normal, bottom tier is all glitter/pearl  Terrible packing idea, but good for us 
My TRU has put out 2 cases of them now, but neither one was packed with regular on top and glitter/pearl on bottom. Both tiers in both boxes were mixed. I was the first person to buy any, so I'm pretty confident they arrived that way, but it's possible they may have been mixed up during stocking. What has everyone else encountered in terms of a mix of eggs? The only unusual thing I noticed is that the glitter versions seem MUCH harder to find than the regular or pearl. Out of both cases at my TRU, only maybe 5 eggs total contained glitter Zelfs! In Series 1, it seemed like the pearl and glitter were just as common as the regular, so maybe it's different in Series 2?

I really love the Lil' Zelfs version of Dorothy-Doe! The tiny hearts in her eyes just slay me. She's so adorable! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Forgot to mention, but the best thing about the eggs is that they have peep holes on both the top and the bottom, so it's pretty darn easy to see exactly (egg-xactly?) which Zelf you're getting!

That's so exciting, fungi! This is the first time I've heard the Series 2 Lil' Zelfs have been found in the USA! Did you find them in the Easter section, or with the regular Zelfs display? I was just at TRU two days ago & didn't see them, but I'll try to swing back out there this weekend to have another look!  If you have extras to trade, be sure to post them in the Zelfs Trading Thread, so all the other collectors can have a look! Edit: I had Spring Fever and left work early today, so I stopped by TRU, and miracle of miracles, I found them! My store had them stocked with the regular Zelfs section. visitors can't see pics , please register or login SO EXCITED! I haven't even opened them yet (or even left the parking lot, for that matter!), but I wanted to share!

Wow, WildLace, that's so cool you found them! That's the first time I've seen the second wave of Season 2 Zelfs being found in stores. Congrats!
And I'm happy to report that after over a month of waiting, I've finally received my package of Zelfs from Character-Online in the UK! I got Super Zelfs Catsby, Teeny Genie & Lady B, as well as the Zelfs collector tin, and ten Lil' Zelfs from Series 2. A few weird things I've noticed about the new Lil' Zelfs:
- The pamphlet shows Lochlan with magenta hair, but the one I got has green hair, and so looks almost exactly like Birchy.
- Some of the minis aren't solid colored plastic all the way through, but rather are white plastic completely painted over. I've noticed Owlmanda and Lady B like this so far. I wonder why? In my opinion, it doesn't look as nice as the solid-colored ones.
- Flitter (at least the one I got) is made of a completely different material, super squishy, almost like Squinkies! I hope they don't start making other ones from this material., because it gets dirty so easily, and the fuzzy hair just wants to stick to it.

Thanks for posting that video, Mandy! This gives me hope they'll actually show up in the USA soon. I actually just emailed Moose earlier today to check if the Series 2 Lil' Zelfs and Super Zelfs will be released here. I don't want to have to import these if I don't have to, especially since the Zelfs I ordered from Character-Online in the UK a month ago still haven't arrived yet, and when I emailed to ask about tracking, they just said they'd ask their local post office...sigh.

My store got a huge shipment of Lil' D! Something weird must've happened at the distribution center...
The Canadian store overstocked with Miss Clover was amazing, but the great thing is that the person who discovered them picked them up for other collectors at cost, so many happy endings were had!
