Two versions of Baby Mischief?

I'm currently holding two Baby Mischief's but I'm noticing some difference between them.

One look like the common light pink body, with blue & gold tinsel, straight hair and pale green eyes.

The other, however, has a significantly darker pink body, only gold tinsel, curly hair and darker green eyes.

Both made in China.

Are there two versions of her? I can only find a reference to the first one :/

I know there is an American version of Baby Mischief who was named Baby Sparkle Firefly, her body was darker but translucent however. I don't believe it is her from your description, though.

yes there are different versions of her. I have two of the european one with the same difference you are speaking of. I think there are even more; if I remember right, she has been found with various tinsel colors and shades of pink. Sorry, dont have a pic to share atm

There is also a NC (Spain) version of her.  I acquired that version of her without even realizing it at first!

I have a mini-army of Mischief variants. Let me see if I can find the link to the thread as it was a while back now. It's mentioned on my site, because I go into geeky stuff like this:

In any case, I have the following:

China, rainbow tinsel in mane and tail
China, gold tinsel in mane and tail
China, rainbow tinsel in mane and gold tinsel in tail
China, gold tinsel in mane and rainbow tinsel in tail
Hong Kong, rainbow tinsel in mane and tail
NC, rainbow tinsel in mane and tail.

I also know there are minor body shade variations between some of these which may explain your variation too. I think there were a lot of batches. The gold tinselly ones have mostly been located in continental Europe, and they are sometimes a bolder colour of pink with curlier hair. This isn't an exact rule though. The NC has a hairline that is set back further on the head and she's paler. I got my one from a childhood pony lot here in the UK.

I know there is an Explorer with a tinsel variation out there, and HK, NC and China versions for all of the set, so you really could do this forever. But I stuck with Mischief only because I don't have the space to do this for all of them!

I never knew there were so many different versions of her. I think the darker body, curly hair and only gold tinsel is my favourite out of the two I have
