No, it's not the same Posey. Like other's have said, it's like she has Lofty's head. She also has yellow hair and lavender eyes. The Promo pony has pink hair and dark eyes. In the promo, some appear to have unflocked ( but painted eyeliner on the flocking ) eyes and others look completely painted. The Gusty that is up for auction -possibly- could be the one in the promo, but it's hard to see the color of her eyes in the promo, though she looks like she has the painted eyeliner versus completely painted eye like the Gusty prototype that's up for auction. The Gusty up for auction has blue eyes, but *does* have painted eyeliner. I'm going to say no, because the Gusty on bid's symbols are not as distinct as those in the promo.

As mentioned they were there in the original old auction shot and don't look as bad now as they did then.
The poesy had all the same dots she has too and did not look any the worse. We will probably see her again as she did not sell.

I'm not sure how much sun fading I'll be able to do in the North of England :silly: hehe! Having said that my Diamond Dreams used to have ink marks and I did nothing special and they're now gone lol so you never know :)

The original seller was UK based if I remember correctly; so if they were some how picked up around the UK or even some child hood pony, then the fact we skipped So Softs over here adds to the weirdness of the release. I like to think, although its wild speculation, but that they could even be something supplied to Hasbro UK for consideration of the next years line.

Some oddities have turned up in the UK such as true prototypes and a reverse Gusty.

I can also confirm that the 1st seller was in the US. I was bidding on her, when the auction ended early. The auction said it came from someone off the TP. Do we know who? I'd like to know because the first auction ended early. And she never surfaced again till now.

The UK didn't get Macaus and Italians... that was various parts of mainland Europe. I know I had both as a kid, but they came from holidays abroad. We don't really know where Ember's MGR was sold, just that she turned up here!
It's possible there was a private sale through the TP rather than a public one, but that makes me sad as it would mean that a community member was involved in pulling the original auction. My suspicion is that the seller was the one at bought them that time. Otherwise, if they had ever been posted for sale somewhere, someone would have seen something.

I know the original winner of the lot was UK, but it's not always an indicator of where they were sold/acquired in the 80s as ponies travelled, even then ;)

it never got clarified if it was just a picture that made her look like she was bbe or was she really one :/ She was in a lot of ponies that I think hathorcat spotted, but I don't remember anyone actually bragging about her or showing her.
