Pony Corral / Riser Reccomendations Needed!
« on: May 24, 2023, 05:07:40 PM »
Hi pony people!

Finally getting of my butt and moving the girls into a new Billy bookcase soon and I'd like to buy some risers to maximize the space. I have ponies of every gen except G2 (Just haven't bought any yet) and was wondering what my best options are and if certain ones work better with certain size ponies. Toy display risers seem a lot more available these days so I'd love some recommendations.

Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: Junk Journals
« on: February 20, 2023, 11:33:10 AM »
I've really wanted to try junk journalism, I like to collect random things I find in places they shouldn't be. I do have some scrapbook pages in my scrapbook that are junk pages, basically a collage of things I've found in books or otherwise since I started working at the library.

I have picked up and dropped bullet journaling a million times. It was just too much work to set up and decorate the pages. I recently picked up a weekly wellness diary from Typo and that's been nice because everything is set up for you. It has area's for reflective journaling, a habit tracker, a water intake tracker, a budgeting page for each month, and other nice stuff. I'm not using it too heavily, but it's nice to have to keep track of projects at work and the budgeting page is great too.
I'd drop a link but they don't seem to have the online anymore :(

I just started watching Trigun because I was really impressed with the trailers for Trigun Stampede, but I want to watch the original series first. Really loving it!!

« on: January 02, 2023, 11:01:09 AM »
It was all newer stuff for me... I try to thrift G1 - G3 ponies to save on my wallet, but that might change this year LOL

From Christmas alone I got:
- G4 Trade paperbacks: Holiday Memories & Magic of Cybertron
- G1 basic fun repro Tootsie
- G5 amazon exclusive Royal Gala collection (that big set with a bunch of one-off characters)

Outside of Christmas I picked up:
- G4 book Goodnight Baby Flurry Heart
- G5 alicorn Sunny / Twilight Sparkle set
- G5 Jazz Hooves
- G3 Garden Wishes
- G5 comic issue 1 & 2
- A few more G4 comic issues

Eek! guess it's not much after all...  :yikes: I'm going to be investing in a billy bookcase and risers soon to move my collection out of the lawyer cabinet that they are starting to outgrow a bit,

Oh my gosh, I guess I need to check in the forums more often. I've been crazy buying Typo's various Care Bears products over the last two years but I didn't know about these!! It's been a few months since I was last at a physical store and I don't think they're selling them online. Maybe I can take a trip next weekend to see if there's  any on clearance.

(Cotton Kids does have some cute stickers and water bottles online though)

Pony Corral / Re: Ever seen a pony in a dream?
« on: January 31, 2022, 06:13:37 PM »
So many times!! I've made up so many ponies in my dreams... I frequently have frantic dreams about buying G4 ponies at a grocery store and seeing a ton of ponies I missed out and not being able to afford them all, or dream about going to multiple stores to find ponies I've made up in my head..

Just FYI - check Walmart and Walgreens for the new valentines plushies!!

Walmart has some HugMe size squishmallows (a corgi, a unicorn, and a butterfly(?) ), some "Hugmallows" that have pockets on either side you can slip your arms through, and the regular type plushies in mullitple sizes with heart motifs!

I picked up a Hugmallow of Miles the Dragon to go with my 16" Miles. The gimmick was weird at first until I brought him home and gave him a good cuddle, it's actually pretty nice!

omg! Ive always wanted to do one of these but with biking instead of running, this is very tempting

Lucky! I can't find the HugMeez anywhere.

My boyfriend found a fox and llama ones at the Dollar General he was working at I think over the summer? They were clearing off the risers and found them up top, so I'm not sure if they're even around anymore! His bff has the llama now.

I personally really want Ivy the Deer who is one of the big laying plushies but she was a Justice exclusive and those stores arent really around now.

I love them and I want more   I have to really limit myself though because I will easily buy too many.

So far I have:
- HugMeez Bart the Fox
- Bernardo the Burrito 8"
- Miles the Dragon 16" (green, walmvart version)
- Bufinda the Skeleton Narwhal 8"
- Duchess the Deer 5"

I really just want the deer and dragon characters though :)

I was always a heavy plushie sleeper and I only weaned off it when my partner and I started living together. Then I'd only sleep with plushies if I was having a really bad day or if he wasn't there for the night.

But then one day he brought home a Squishmallow for me as a gift and it's form their Hug Mee's line of longer, full body squishes and he has adorned our bed ever since. The real kicker is my partner is the one cuddling with him, not me. Squeezes it to death nearly every night. I have to agree though, it's one of the cuddliest things I've ever slept with!

Off Topic / Re: Americans, are you doing Thanksgiving?
« on: November 22, 2021, 04:11:55 PM »
I already had Thanksgiving with my boyfriends family last week (they did it early bc half the family is going out of town), then on thanksgiving day I'm going to see my family. Black Friday will be my 'Friends-giving' which is a nice potluck this year, and I have a lottttt to cook. I'm looking forward to that the most. I just like having the food cause I can't always afford groceries these days.
