I just got a G3 Pretty Parasol and was giving her a spa day but her pink hair was also coming out in clumps :( Same hair colour as Twirlerina so I get the feeling this problem is going to become more and more prevalent with G3s as time passes unfortunately :cloud: Good thing rehairing is an option

I could probably move my things to a spreadsheet as a project but I keep track of my things with mlpmerch just because it's easy and allows me to ID a pony relatively quickly if I don't know them or can't find them.

Fanwork merchandising generally exists when the copyright holders are being generous or just don't notice, e.g. people selling stickers or small things at cons. I remember that G4 FiM fighting game made by bronies got a cease and desist because I think it was big enough and popular enough but also conflicted with the brand Hasbro wanted to portray. There's not been any law change that would allow you to sell a G1 colouring book (unfortunately) but Amazon stocks so so so many things from different distributors iirc  I'm not surprised they would be stocking things maybe skirting around the edge of copyright law

I think there's weird loopholes like I'm on the Patreon for a video game wiki and they give yearly rewards for pledges, including calendars with game screenshots etc, and I believe they can safely do that because then they're regarded as gifts rather than selling them as a product. Something to consider maybe?

I wasn't paying attention to anything before G4.5 unfortunately but here in NZ shops have been closed or restricted since around the movie came out due to lockdown, I went into the mall two weeks ago and I saw quite a lot of leftover G4.5 stuff like a dozen Twilight smashin fashions (none of Sunset Shimmer or Dash, oddly, and the other sets didn't make it here) and the large budget styling G4.5 brushables mixed in with the rainbow reveal Sunny and the big movie friends and the posable crystal adventure sets.

I haven't seen any signifcant leftovers of G4 things so maybe the shelves were cleared to make room for G5 but at Farmers they had a Rarity and Capper Dapperpaws set just sitting there for ages at the bottom shelf as well as the weird Sia pony set but that's it, so I don't really know if that's just what was left of what sold, or?

I went to Toyworld two weeks ago to see if they had anything on special and found they had a boatload of the G4.5 dress-up brushables they must've been trying to clear because they were all 50% off and some more specific G5 things like the favourites together set.

So, don't actually know how well G5 is selling but places carrying G4.5 are seemingly struggling to get rid of them which is a little sad because they're nice toys, I think. The Christmas rush might change things  :think:

Looking for loose G3/G4 ponies in NZ. TLC needed/played with quality preferred, though no haircuts. I am willing to buy loose lots of random bait quality G3s as well if anyone has any loose ponies they would like to get rid of.

Please shoot me a message/reply to this post if anyone in NZ/AUS has anything they'd be willing to let me buy off them.
