Title: Weird dreams thread
Post by: SpacePinto on November 04, 2020, 02:59:13 PM: We already have a thread for all the weird pony dreams we've had, but how about a thread for regular non-pony-related weird dreams? I had one last night.

The earliest thing I remember from the dream was me watching a movie about a widowed father and his teenage son moving to a new seaside home. For some reason I checked the movie's page on IMCDB and I saw two screencaps of the title scene, both featured station wagon / van type cars. When I saw the actual scene in the movie itself, however, it turned out they were actually driving a red 80s convertible. The son was complaining that he didn't want to move and that he had to leave all his friends behind, to which the father replied that he would make new friends. Then the scene switched to the son standing by the edge of a seaside cliff overlooking the beach, it turned out he had dug a huge vertical semi-round groove along the cliff's entire height to practice chimney climbing or something, which he was allowed to do since their seaside property stretched beyond the cliff and across the beach all the way to the shore line. Then suddenly I became that boy seeing everything from first person's view, and instead of climbing down the groove I was sitting on top of a ledge adjacent to the cliff that went all the way to the bottom but its top was just slightly below the cliff's top so I had to step down a little to get to it. After a moment I twisted my upper body and climbed back on top of the cliff. Then I sat on the ledge again and as I looked down to the beach below with my legs handing off the edge, I realized how tall the cliff was and that if I fell I would be done for. I thought about how dangerous it was for me to sit there and then I realized I wasn't supposed to be sitting on the ledge, I was supposed to be practicing climbing down the chimney, and I resolved to focus only on that from now on. I twisted my upper body again to go back to safety, but as I put my hands on the top of the cliff to pull myself up I realized I couldn't. I was scared to turn back towards the sea out of fear I would lose balance and fall, and started wondering what to do. I thought about calling dad for help, but I figured it would be a bad idea because I could potentially cause him to fall off the cliff to his doom. I decided I could probably try to hold on to the things on the ground in front of me like shrubs or roots or something, but in the end I just ended up grabbing the grass growing on top of the cliff, which then started rolling up and I realized that it had turned into a huge carpet. Then I didn't know what else to do, and soon after I woke up.

Post by: Miniature Sheep on November 05, 2020, 06:05:39 AM: I had an odd dream last night/this morning, probably as a result of planning to play Everybody's Gone to the Rapture again, as I like the way it handles the themes of family and community, existential/cosmic/sci-fi horror and idyllic countryside life. There was gold light swooping around and talk of a quarantine; the key difference is that it was in a massive, mostly empty and darkened warehouse kind of building, rather than a rural village and farmland. There isn't much I can remember in detail other than noise and panic, it was really unpleasant. To be honest, after that, I'm thinking of playing something else that's less likely to give me nightmares. XD

Post by: BlackCurtains on November 05, 2020, 06:50:32 AM: I have some recurring dreams. One is, I'm in a rainforest and I'm either smaller than a frog, or the frogs are big enough to ride. They're all very colorful like poison dart frogs. There are huge leaves (or regular leaves and I'm tiny) that are like waterslides. I'm either riding around on the frogs or sliding down the leaves. I've had this dream since I was a kid.

The other recurring dreams are similar to each other: In one I'm in a huge concrete basement/warehouse/underground bunker. There are corridors going off in all directions. It's dark, with only a few bare lightbulbs on the ceiling. I don't know which hallway to go down but I pick one and keep walking. It's just a bare hallway and I just keep walking.

The second is I'm in a two story house. It's not a familiar house. There's a staircase. I go up the staircase to the second floor, and end up on the first floor. I go up the staircase again, and again I'm back on the first floor. It keeps repeating and I can never get to the second story.

Post by: Ponyfan on November 05, 2020, 07:15:58 AM: I've been taking Nyquil before bed so I won't cough in my sleep and sometimes I have very strange vivid dreams after I take it. I had a really weird one the other day but I don't remember it now.

Sometimes I dream that I'm in whatever anime I have been watching. Not too long ago I dreamed I was in Diamond no Ace. It's like I'm watching an episode of the series though because even though I'm in their world I don't usually interact with the characters but I can see everything that is happening to them and react to it.

The weirdest one so far is me sitting in a wheelchair with no arms and legs and being pushed from a cliff. It's intereseting because I never remembered my dreams in the past. I could count all my remembered dreams since childhood on one hand but now I have them every other night. It's been a rollercoaster :lol:

A more recurring dream theme I have is that my teeth fall out, but in sets, like they were part of dentures! :shocked:

Post by: SpacePinto on November 22, 2020, 04:03:55 PM: Today during a nap I had a dream that I needed to study something from a book but I couldn't do it at home for some reason so I went outside, but it was raining so I took an umbrella, I remember sitting on the steps of the downstairs store and reading the book under the umbrella, then I noticed people passing by in a hurry just to get back home and realized how ridiculous it was to sit outside when it was raining, I decided to go home so I got up and grabbed the book which was now lying on the ground, it turned out it was soaking wet at this point. After that I needed to go to a train station for some reason, and the front of it was a shopping mall, I was passing through a huge food court and I reached one of the joints while already holding a half-eaten quesadilla or something like that from somewhere else, I remember I really wanted to finish it fast before ordering something new. Then I woke up.

The weird dream I had last night started out with making a podcast about foxes, where most of the material was cut because everyone involved was swearing too much. After that, we all turned our attention to trying to fend off some kind of horrendous monster with a barricade of office chairs. No idea what brought that on. :blink:

Then one of them crawled through my eye and the other crawled inside my ribcage to try and control my movements.

I don't remember what happened after that. The lead dragon had a really cool design that I'll try drawing later. He was yellow and red and sort of looked like a Chinese dragon but he had three sets of wings.

Post by: BlackCurtains on December 11, 2020, 08:47:44 AM: Okay, stay with me, this is hard to explain. I think my cat saved my life this morning. I have sleep apnea but don't have a CPAP. The short version is Covid was just getting going when they wanted me to have a sleep study. I didn't think it was a good idea, and then things got way worse. Anyway, it's not unusual for me to wake up a lot while trying to sleep. Sometimes I have dreams that I'm drowning or otherwise can't breathe. I think these dreams come from reality where I am, at that moment, unable to breathe.

So I had this dream. I was in a van going up a steep road. When I got to the top, there was no more road and the van fell off. I could see the ground getting closer and closer and I knew I was going to die. When the van hit the ground, everything was in slow motion. I was having a hard time breathing and was concentrating on that. I think I could hear myself struggling to breathe. As the dream went on, my breathing got worse. I thought to myself 'why is this taking so long, I should be dead by now' in the dream. I reached for the door and opened it. Underneath me was nothing but darkness.

And then my cat woke me up. She was standing on my chest meowing loudly at me.

I tried taking a deep breath and got into a coughing fit, and man, did it hurt. Eventually I was breathing normally, but I was really out of it. Foggy, eyes blurry. My cat just sat by me and purred.

I think she saved my life.

But probably still the weirdest was years ago, where I had a dream I was pregnant and about to give birth. I had been wheeled to the hospital in a wheelchair. I was looking around me, and I was surrounded by family. and... a boyfriend. Yup. A boyfriend that my brain completely made up. He was not a real person, and I am a lesbian, so this was awkward. (maybe it would have been more awkward if he was a real person. lol)

Anyway, immediately thereafter, a large dark figure that seemed to be a mix between the villain from Samurai Jack and Maleficent began coming after me and someone was pushing my wheelchair all around a city that looked a bit like those cities from cartoons like Powerpuff Girls trying to get away from this figure. :lol:

As of late, perhaps not the weirdest of dreams, I've been having consistent dreams where I'm out in public for a variety of reasons and don't have a mask on and begin getting super scared and wondering why I didn't put on a mask.

I swear, maskless in public dreams are the new naked in public dreams. :lol:

Post by: SpacePinto on December 23, 2020, 02:59:49 PM: Today I had a really weird one after I woke up at 8 AM and then fell asleep for another half an hour. Basically, I had to drive somewhere with someone, don't even know whether as the driver or passenger, but on the way there it turned out that it might be difficult to get through the town because of a BLM protest happening there. When we arrived it turned out it was actually a southern district of our town that used to be its own municipality, which made me kind of surprised since almost everyone is white where I live. Then I learned this particular protest was actually by the African community in Europe, although it still didn't explain why it was in my town. Anyway, the protesters were marching around the main roundabout. I was worried we would get stuck but it turned out that by the time our car reached the back of the procession, we were already at the level of our turnoff. We turned right and followed the road behind some old (30+ years) car, until it pulled over across the road from a church and we passed it by. I noticed in the mirror that it was driven by a gray-haired priest, I also noticed that the car had a "Saab" emblem on its grill and weird roundish double headlights. I started thinking I should talk about this car to someone, but I decided that instead of just mentioning its age I would say that it wouldn't look out of place in... followed by a name of some old TV series, first I wanted to say Robocop, then X-Files, and suddenly it just turned into me simply listing all of the classic TV shows that I liked and ranting about how they don't make shows like this anymore :rofl: By this point, it turned out we were actually driving much closer to where I live, on a road among trees that runs to a river dike where it stops at a small footbridge. Then it turned out I was no longer in a car, just walking down that road because apparently I was on my way to church for some reason and since I still had half an hour before the service started I decided to take a walk to the dike and back. Then I learned that some people living there wanted to build a bench by the road to sit on and now I was suddenly pushing a wheelbarrow to help them with construction. Then it turned into one of those sappy inspirational videos with fast-paced piano tune in the background about people taking action to help people in their community or something, and part of it was me also giving a fuzzy white dog a piggyback ride while pushing that wheelbarrow. Then it turned out I was also going to later take a walk to the dike and back after all, because a few seconds later the video, which was from my POV for some reason, switched from me pushing a wheelbarrel to me wearing some jogging outfit or something. Then I reached the place on the road with those people who wanted a bench, and I started wondering why would they lived there in the middle of nowhere, where there weren't even any houses or anything. A little further down the road I noticed some kids playing and I realized how awkward it would be to randomly offer unsolicited help to people who don't even know me, and I started regretting my decision. Then to my right I noticed some shady looking guys that I didn't want to deal with and that was when I finally realized I'd rather back out of this whole business. I turned the wheelbarell around and then I realized it would probably look weird to go that far just to make a U turn anyway, then to my relief I noticed some residential area behind the trees to my left, with apartment buildings and swings and all, and there was even a path leading there, so I decided to just head there pretening that's where I was going all along. However, suddenly I realized that I had a huge problem walking there, barely moving forward and yet feeling completely exhausted. When I suddenly reached the residential neighborhood, I sat on a bench and then started ranting about something political, and then I woke up.

So I'm at the grocery store, of all places, and they're selling MLPs (I mean, I guess grocery stores can sell toys). Not just good old regular MLPs, but Nirvanas! One of them, I notice, is Heartthrob. She's in the Firefly pose and she's pink with black stripes and her foot is stamped with "Canada". I pick her up thinking I need to get her and take her pic and post her on this Arena and see what everybody there thinks about her. But then, I see another Heart Throb (I have no idea why my brain was so fixated on Heart Throb of all ponies...it's not like she's a favorite of mine!) She's also a Nirvana pony and in the Firefly pose, only she's lime green with black stripes. I have no idea where my brain came up with these pony designs! I have a dilemma because they're expensive (I don't really how much they were, only I could afford one) and I already have a pony (don't remember who), so I can only get one. I decide on the lime green and black one.

Okay, so that's the pony portion of my dream, but my dream does continue in a very weird (and upsetting!) way. So I'm going to pay for my groceries (and ponies!) and realize I don't have my purse. This is because (for some super odd reason!) the grocery store had valet parking, so when I gave my keys to the person parking it, I just walked into the store and forget my purse. Anyway, I run out and find my car and it's unlocked. My purse is there and I open it and find my billfold...I open that and my debit and credit card are missing. So I'm calling my bank, freaking out and telling them to cancel those cards...then I woke up, and I'm like, thank God that was only a dream!

Post by: SpacePinto on January 01, 2021, 02:59:36 PM: Today I took a short nap and I had that weird dream where I had something hard to eat and then I felt with my tongue that I had just chipped my tooth. I couldn't believe it was true, I tried to tell myself I was wrong, but I continued probing teeth with my tongue and the gap was still there. I then checked myself in the mirror and saw a U shaped hole in one of my premolars, and when I looked at the tooth from a different angle it actually seemed hollow on the inside. Then I remember sitting on my bed and hoping it was all just a dream but no matter what I did everything felt real, and when I looked around the dark room I realized I was indeed in my bedroom, even though now I realize some of the things didn't make sense (like that there was a photocell sensor above the door for some reason) When I woke up for real and realized my teeth were fine I felt huge relief, but on the other hand I also felt disappointed that even though the thought of being in a dream did cross my mind, the dream still just continued as normal, even though I remember at one point I tried to levitate specifically to see if this was a dream and yet I still couldn't (which was the thing that ultimately convinced me I wasn't dreaming), which means I'm problably not cut out for lucid dreaming :(

Then there was a earthquake and we ended up underground. And then I thought "This is a dream...if anything goes bad I'll will myself somewhere else."

Post by: SpacePinto on January 17, 2021, 05:05:53 AM: I had a dream after I briefly woke up early and before actually waking up for good where I had to do some business about a mile from where I live, and when I was at the big intersection with the McDonald's, I met Yulaw from the movie "The One". Then when I was on my way home and I could already see our apartment block in the distance, for some reason it turned out that God was waiting for me at home and I was planning to announce to him that now I will be the One.

Post by: Harmonie on January 22, 2021, 07:51:14 PM: I had a dream that started out like a lot of them I have - I'm in college and it's finals week and I have a lot of stuff due and OMG I haven't done any of it. Such a common theme for a dream in my life as of late!

But then... it took a slightly horror turn, or IDK. There were zombies. Note: I am terrified of zombies. I hate that stuff. I avoid zombie media like the plague. So why would such a horrible thing appear in my dreams? Well there were two weird things about it that kept it from being too terrifying:

1. I was under the impression they weren't real zombies, but were acting or playing a game.
2. In the end I was cornered, I had a bottle or can of Pepsi (Note: I don't drink pop anymore so this is odd), and for some reason I decided to spill the Pepsi all over the "zombie" in front of me and once they were hit with Pepsi they turned back into a normal person, and that's where the dream ended. :lol:

Post by: SpacePinto on February 01, 2021, 09:03:58 AM: Today I had a weird dream which actually started as a pony dream that I described in detail in another thread, but then it switched to a different dream, it was basically about me moving to Italy for some reason, and apparently my main motivation was that I really wanted to listed to local music or something, lol. At one point I was upset that I wasn't home and I missed all those things I could do back home, but then I told myself that at least I could listen to all that music. Then for some reason I was at some sort of Italian music convention, and they had a Q&A panel with the chairman of the Italian music association or whatever stupid idea my brain cooked up while I was asleep, and one of the questions was if he has ever been president of Slovakia, to which he chuckled and said no. Then the next question was something like if he knows of any astronauts that have been to space and then went to become president of a country. I don't remember his answer to that one though, I think I just woke up at that point.

The nightmare started out as a dream where I was watching a twitch stream and all of a sudden I saw Taylor Swift was streaming! I was shook and went to her stream. She announced some re-records coming out, including 1989. Then she sang Frozen songs with new lyrics. And it was prefect! An amazing intersection of my favorites things!

Post by: SpacePinto on February 19, 2021, 02:56:20 PM: Last night I had one of those weird dreams where I was younger again, and for some reason I was stuck in a juvenile hall. Well, technically the dream started with me having to go to the dentist, and because the dentist I normally went to in the dream was in a different part of the town (in reality my regular dentist is in a completely different town altogether) I decided to go to one closer to my home instead, which for some reason shared the bottom floor of an apartment building on my street (a space occupied by a bank in real life) with a police station. So I was just standing there at the police station waiting for the dentist to come, and after some time I started walking around the station in circles, to see if a bus wasn't passing by outside (?) while being watched by one of the cops there. Then for some reason the police station/dentist office turned into a juvenile detention center and I was held there. The center had that yard in the back where the "general population" would be let out like in a prison, and at one point I was walking around the yard doing what I thought was the most appropriate thing to do in my situation, which was humming "Gangsta's Paradise" to myself. Then in the middle of the song I realized other inmates started forming groups with each other, and then I remembered to my terror how I had heard once that when you're in a prison (or a juvie too, apparently), the two crucial things to do as soon as possible is join a group/gang and establish your authority, and I was terrified that I was wasting my time humming instead of doing those things and how it could get me in trouble with other inmates later. Then one of the guys there gave me a noogie and then I just gave him one back, and felt accomplished thinking that at least I did the first step about the latter, lol. Then we all went to some pond in the back of the yard and it turned out we were supposed to go fishing there for some reason, and then I realized that I left my fishing rod in my cell and felt stupid about that. Then it was time to go back to the building and I was standing with one of the guys in the part of the yard right behind the building, that was when I noticed that the exit door was all sealed up with concrete except for a small square hole near the bottom. The guy next to me decided to try to squeeze himself feet first in there in an attempt to get to the other side, I started wondering why he didn't just go head first and then someone explained to me that it was in case he got stuck in there so that he could crawl out safely, and I felt silly again for not knowing that. Then some time after that we were finally all back inside, but then it turned out the building was all empty, no one was there except us even thought the personnel was supposed to be there. We hung around in there for some more time, I think at one point there was also someone else in the building (probably a group of people, but without any clear features), but I don't remember much more from the dream at that point, and soon after that I woke up.

I was with a group of unidentifiable people (I just call them dream people) and when I sat down I realized I'd stepped on my cat's ears and they broke off. I was holding the ears freaking out asking everyone how I could reattach them. Then some black and white puppies showed up on a river bank and one of the people told me I had to sacrifice two of the puppies in the water if I wanted to fix the ears on my cat. Well, I didn't want to do that. But I dunked two of them in the water and told them not to move, held them up by their tails and showed the person, saying they were dead, can my cat have her ears back? One of the puppies started whining and the guy turned into a humanoid monster with a big mouth and huge teeth.

That's all I remember.

Post by: SpacePinto on February 22, 2021, 12:27:05 PM: Today I had one of those dreams where a lot was going on but I only remembered two things by the time I woke up. The first was that I had to look something up about some plant in a book with a green cover, and then it turned out it was part of a whole series of books on rare plants, and they had that gag desing where if you arranged them horizontally in a line, with the spines touching the whites, they formed a crocodile. The second thing was that I was browsing IMDB and for some reason I checked out the page for "The Smurfs and the Magic Flute" from 1976, and one of the items on the Connections page, in the "Referenced in" section, was another animated movie from around the same period, and for some reason it included the direct quote that referenced it, kind of like dialogues on TVTropes. I used the quote to look for the scene from that other movie on YouTube and it turned out it had a character trying to climb out of a hole using a rope, and there was another character standing above him outside of the hole, and he had a bowl cut. The character climbing the rope said something like "If you help me out of here, I will take you out to see a movie", and then after a beat said the title of the Smurfs movie, to which the bowl cut character outside repeated the movie's title angrily and then started cutting the rope with clippers, which was supposed to be the writers' jab at the Smurfs.

At one point I saw a card terminal hanging on one of the wooden columns in the room, its tiny screen displayed some kind of offline web page with really primitive layouts, the terminal for some reason had arrow buttons that I used to scroll through the page but I accidentally ended up deleting something by pressing 3 (or was it F3?), which I tried to defend myself about by saying they shouldn't have used such a pointless device to display it or something. Then there were some other things, but the last thing was that I suddenly saw some weird aircraft outside the window doing all sorts of acrobatics in the air. Hoping it was some alien spaceship or something from the future maybe, I went outside, accomapnied by some cousin that I'm not sure even exists, and that was when I realized that this weird aircraft was actually a space shuttle. As I watched it dance around the sky, doing spins and loops and whatnot, I realized it might actually be having trouble and it can probably crash to the ground. Then this imaginary cousin decided it would be better to hide inside and even grabbed a fence on the side to close it in front of the house like a big gate, but I thought it would be safer to stay outside in case it crashed into the house. Then it actually did start crash landing, and after it hit the ground it indeed started sliding towards the house. I tried dodging to the left but then it for some reason took a turn in the same direction and I actually ended up right on its path. Realizing it was too late to get out of its way, I tried to jump on top of it in a last ditch effort to save myself, which was suddenly shown in form of a video game, but I don't think I really made it and I might have actually died in that dream. That was when I woke up.

And she was so well animated and lively, she couldn't talk but she gave me a hug.

I tend to have long frustrating dreams that could be real life settings but they are strangely different. Usually the atmosphere is threatening or scary. These are the ones I remember. My therapist tried to get me to remember more details but they are so mundane that it all just blurs into one with no memorable features.

How do you guys remember all this stuff?!!

I dreamed about being him before but usually not like this. I was going to school but I also an expert at hiding in the rafters and on top of shelves and stuff. At one point I mentioned that I couldn't fit in to one of the hiding places because I was now too muscular after all of the practicing. Strangely enough I didn't dream about playing baseball.

In the 2nd dream I was in a really nice hotel room. My neighbor woke me up yelling about something and then got mad. Someone came was insisting we stay in the room late and watch a movie instead of going home. We were getting ready to leave the room because we didn't want to watch the movie when I woke up.

I was cheering the bear on while he mauled this guy :lol: But then the bear was in trouble because he wasn't anyone's pet, so I put a leash made of microbeads (it was pretty, yellow and blue) on the bear and walked him around. I made him bacon snacks drizzled in maple syrup and sprinkled with sugar. Then my mom showed up just in this one part to criticize the way I made the snacks. Later, people were following us and we tried to hide in an apartment but we were found and had to jump out of a window to safety. I realized the bear was never going to be free if I kept him in the city so I walked him to the forest and set him free. I gave him a bag of the bacon snacks to take with him. The bear looked like a grizzly but with a blonde head and back. I think his name was Popcorn, but I'm not sure.

In one of them I was at a store to buy something and there were some other people there and one of them had problem picking up their parcel and asked me for help. In another one I wanted to sell something online and some guy and some girl came to pick it up, I met them at the stairwell and for some reason I also decided to throw in some stuff I was wearing on my head, which included a toupee, glasses, fake stick-on horseshoe hair and some other things, and for some reason they were both delighted about that, and the most bizarre thing was probably that I wasn't taking these off my own head but from a rubber mannequin head next to me for some reason. In the last dream I remember I was actually at a police academy, and one of the tests included going down a corridor lined with various objects on your path that you had to decide whether you should shoot at them or not. Throughout most of the course I had no problem deciding, but one of the last items was an Elmo plush lying on the ground, this one felt like no-brainer to me since obviously there was no need to shoot it, but then it turned out I was actually supposed to shoot it and they had to deduct some points for that mistake. I comforted myself saying that this one mistake probably won't make much difference anyway, but then to my shock it turned out I had also made some more errors before, one of them apparently being that I missed some flickering lamps on the ceiling that I was supposed to shoot at as well. The next scene was me standing with other cadets in front of a huge scoreboard and to my relief, it turned out the threshold for passing was about 130 points and I had more than 200, in fact most of cadets had something around 200, except for some poor guy who got literally two points, and some other two dudes at the very bottom who scored exactly 0 points but I figured they probably just hadn't shown up at all. The last thing I remember was staring at my first and last name on the scoreboard and realizing that the font was off compared to other lines, and there was a long space between the number and my name, but then I woke up.

But this dream I remember almost every detail from. I was in a hospital bed and had a disease that couldn’t be cured. There was no doctors but I remember looking up the disease and that’s how I found out about it. Then every time I spoke I could only say a few words before I lost air. For some reason I thought water would cure the disease but it did nothing. There was more stuff from the dream but they were nothing really interesting.

I get a bite and they said to real it in... it put up a good fight but When the *fish* surfaced it turned out to be a huge whale and all the fisherman jumped on it with spears killing it. My dad said, "Everything will be ok, Everything is going to be ok."

few days later I get another dream... and the house that I was living in was falling apart and just an ugly dream, the roof is leaking and there is fire everywhere. it was so scary I woke up and found out that the same night of that dream My mother had a dream and my father (who died) told her to "Get the important stuff and leave"

My mom and I told each other our dreams the following day, it finally sank in that we needed to move, so we did based on the 3 dreams.

I miss my dad but he still guides me in my dreams.

Post by: SpacePinto on September 16, 2021, 12:01:28 PM: Last night I had that dream where I had to be somewhere in a different part of town and on my way back home I was walking down the street with tram tracks. At one point I was passed by some strange tram with those elongated wedge-shaped front and back like some older high speed trains, and for some reason I was recording the whole thing with my phone, while at the same time seeing it already played on YouTube, and one of the comments was from someone from America about how they wished they had such sophisticated public transit system back home instead of driving everywhere, lol. Then after walking some more I somehow ended up actually much farther from home, in a different town that is in a different direction from where I live, but still walking down the street alongside tram tracks. At some point there were some old buildings to my right, but when I turned my head that way, the tracks were nowhere to be seen. I walked behind the old buildings through a gap between two of them and then I saw the edge of a cliff, I looked down over the edge and sure enough, the tracks were there at the bottom. The cliff overall looked man-made and pretty new for some reason, there was also the entrance to a concrete tunnel at the foot of the cliff. At that moment it made me think back to all the times I would take long walks and sometimes visit these areas that were pretty far from home, and it made me kind of sad that these days I can only be bothered to take short walks around my closest neighborhood (which is weird because that's exactly something I would think about in real life too). Some time later I actually ended up even farther from home, in the capital of the province, but still on a road with tram tracks, somewhere close to downtown, and there I saw yet another different type of tram that looked like nothing that I see in real life. Some time after that I woke up.

I track them on my calendar and within the past 7 day period, three of my sleeps have had this one character over and over again. Earlier this year I had six nights in a row of the same character. I don't know if it's funny or just annoying because it's very weird and also kind of feels like I have a brain virus. They will never end lol

My sister was able to escape and ran away, then my mom escaped and ran after her. I stayed behind to fight off a gorilla and a tiger.

Then things switched to another setting where I was in the desert that had an oasis. I was putting together a fishing pole and was going to the docks to fish in the lake. On the way there, I saw giant colorful crystals jutting out of the sand and the lake shimmered in the distance. It was pretty neat looking!

The way it worked was that you paid with card and also had to authenticate the transaction using some sort of PIN code, except it was longer and also included letters. I bought a few items, but then suddenly the display glitched or something and showed "E" in the authentication code while it was supposed to be some other character, so I typed a wrong code and the transaction was withheld. It asked me to retype the code but I got angry and did it wrong again, then it asked me to speak to the microphone to verify my identity or something, but apparently what I said was incorrect and it just blocked my account altogether. I asked the woman who was in the room with me (I think she was actually black) about that and then she looked something up on her phone or tablet and then she said that my account is blocked because the name of the user is "Abraham Lincoln" which doesn't match the cardholder's name, to which I explained something about how I didn't want to use my real name just to buy some digital goods or something, lol. Another segment was about me being inside a convenience store where I was sitting on an old mattress with some people I knew back in school, for some reason. Then I suddenly saw someone else I apparently remembered from school in the store and I realized he was doing much better than me judging by his clothes or something, it made me upset so I just lay down on the mattress next to someone else sitting on it. Then I got up and looked around, and I realized that the music playing from the speakers and all the lighting on the shelves made the inside of the store look pretty ominous. I think there was another segment that took place inside our church, but I don't remember anything from this one.

I was on a huge ship that was carrying cars and horses. I had my cat with me. Suddenly, the ship started to sink and I was getting tossed around but I kept holding my cat above water. I remember getting crushed between a car and a horse. All the while my cat was trying to grab my head and was meowing loudly. I started to drown and was kicking my feet trying to get to the surface.

I think I was really moving my legs and my cat was smacking me around and I couldn't breathe because of the apnea. I woke up all tangled in my blanket.

I was with some people and someone showed a paper sheet with an anatomical diagram of human mouth, and for some reason, it featured some strange opening in the roof of the mouth that went all the way to the nasal cavity, apparently it was some sort of biological valve used to adjust the air flow through the nose or some other stupid nonsense like that. I tried probing my palate with my tongue to see where I had it but obviously I couldn't find it. I tried to tell myself it was somewhere deeper or something like that, but then I realized that I was actually born without it because I could not remember ever having anything like that. Someone else pointed out that it's actually amazing that I spent my whole life without it and never had any trouble because of that, then I tried to console myself that since it never bothered me anyway then probably it's not a big deal anyway, but then I started worrying about what if it's one of those cases where your medical deformity doesn't manifest itself for decades until suddenly one day it finally hits you with full force or something like that. That's all I remember from this segment.

A huge wave was coming from the ocean so people were rushing toward the waterfall. Then these children appeared and fell inside of it, so everyone was panicking. I was watching all of this and started snapping my fingers and singing "oh no, the children are drowning" in this monotone voice. Then the kids started coming out of the rock behind the waterfall.

The first one took place right now in late November and for some reason our whole family was back together for Christmas. Everyone was preparing the Christmas dinner and everything else in the old guest room, and by the time we were done, it was already time to sit down for the dinner. When I realized that it was Christmas already and there was so much I had planned to do last month prior to it, I got a little mad about how fast the time had passed, but then I realized that it was actually still November, which was when we actually started getting ready for Christmas in the dream, and when I pointed it out to my parents, they just got amused about how they got a little too far ahead and just decided that the dinner will have to wait until the actual Christmas (by just sitting on the table for a whole month, I guess).
In the second scenario, I was with some two other guys and we were doing some cleaning in my room, and we needed to sort three piles of my old drawings, magazines and other stuff. They had already sorted it back into two first piles, but the third pile was still unsorted. I grabbed everything from the third pile including things that fell to the ground, I even found some loose old sticker or some other small piece of paper lying on the ground and I also put it on top of the pile, and then those two guys started complaining that I will never finish it if I keep wasting my time on some garbage, or something like that.
In the third scenario I was walking back home from somewhere far away, and on my way there I went past a building with two stores on the ground floor that were connected inside and even shared one big sign above, I think the name of one of the stores had "rock" in its name for some reason. I entered the store on the left to check it out, it turned out they sold hamsters that for some reasons were kept in big wooden boxes (without holes!) stored on the shelves, which probably had to do with a hamster joke I had heard the day before. They asked me if I wanted to buy a hamster, I was worried it would be awkward to say no after entering so I agreed, they took out one of the boxes from the shelf and said the price, it turned out to be pretty low so I thought to myself that it wouldn't be so bad, I would just pay it and then release the hamster into the wild on my way home or maybe give it to some random stranger. Then they opened the box and it turned out that sitting on a bed of straw was a big hamster mom and a few baby hamsters (and for some reason they looked kind of round). I realized I can't take so many hamsters and I felt relief that I actually now had an excuse not to buy. I told the salesman that I thought it was only going to be one and I won't be able to make a purchase after all, they were disappointed but they understood, although they still kept the open box on the counter, so I decided to pet the hamsters before I leave. Then I noticed that they were strangely motionless, which the salesman explained that it means they wanted to be petted, lol. I stroked the mom's forehead with my finger but it didn't feel like real fur, then for some reason they were no longer hamsters but some kind of birds. When I finally decided to go, I chose to leave through the other store, I went through the doorway connecting the two stores and then the owners of the other store started complaining that I'm going through their store without buying anything or something like that.
In the fourth and last scenario I had to be in some other town because I had something to take care of somewhere near the town's center, which was where the train station was located. I got angry over something I don't remember anymore and I decided to just leave the area with the train station and I started going north of the railroad track for a few blocks. After some time I started worrying whether I would know the way back, but I comforted myself by thinking that I remembered every step, and I decided to go just one block further before turning back. Then it turned out I was actually playing a My Little Pony Tales point & click adventure game (in this dream's universe, MLPT was a video game instead of a cartoon), and the next screen was a scenery from the episode Birds of a Feather. From my point of view, I was standing on top of a hill and there was a path starting at my feet and going down the hill and further across a green clearing before reaching a treeline in the distance. The scene's background music started plying, which sounded like some whimsical plucking kind of like Kenichiro Isoda (I think it's because I had been listening to it before going to sleep), and I thought it was the opening notes to the song "In the forest". I knew it didn't sound like I remembered it, but I explained it to myself that the version I knew was actually from a cut scene at the end of the "episode". I really liked this other version of the song but for some reason I wanted to leave the scene before Bright Eyes' singing part started (probably because when in real life I run into a recently downloaded song on my music player while skipping randomly, but I don't want to listen to it for the first time before I have time to listen to the entire album, I try to skip to the next song before I hear too much of it and spoil a good song for myself), so I decided to leave the scene. For some reason, however, I couldn't move forward. That's when I realized that it wasn't a first person view game and that I actually had to move the characters on the screen with the mouse, and that was when I noticed the four ponies from the episode standing on the path in the distance. I clicked some random spot on the path and sure enough, they all walked there. That was when I hovered the mouse over the place where the path vanished behind the trees, and it turned into the new location cursor. I clicked it to make them go to the next screen, but before they all got there, Bright Eyes' singing already started, and it made me slightly annoyed. I don't remember what the next screen was like, however, I think by that point I just woke up.

My dream this morning was weird. For some reason I dream a lot about people I went to school with. It was my birthday and I had invited some friends from school (who still looked like kids but were adults). They all complained about the party and my house. I was really angry and told them to leave. Then some actual children came in and wanted to swim in the pool. I ordered a giant pizza and we all ate pizza in the kitchen while it was raining outside. My cat who passed away was there and I was always petting her or she was running up to me to be picked up. There were a lot of cats around but only one litter box. It really needed to be cleaned, there were bugs and maggots in it. I sprayed the bugs to kill them and started to scoop it out but it was very deep. It just kept going and I was scooping like mad trying to find the bottom.

I woke up a little and was talking but I don't remember what I said. I might have had another dream, or I just drifted. I woke up a while after that.

I think I should clean the litter box today :crazy:

At the same time, a large floor sweeper machine came straight at me and I managed to dodge it by jumping into the clothes rack. :bolt: Then I woke up. :sleepy:

In the first one I could pass through a movie screen. I didn't end up in the movie though but in the room behind the theater.

Last night I dreamed several things that I think were all part of one long dream. In the first part I was in an orphanage with living stuffed animals/puppets. I was holding a puppet that looked very much like Lamb Chop but not exactly. I was telling this puppet not to cry and that someone would adopt us soon. Then we were watching one of my favorite shows on TV.

In the next part of the dream I opened the door to orphanage which was inside a nice looking but actually run down hotel. I wanted to go downstairs but the only way down was to climb down a huge fountain. At the bottom the floor was covered with moldy green water. The same water was also in the fountain.

The boiler started making strange noises, tilting to the side and overheating, I was so scared it would blow up or something. And while in real life the boiler has a simple eight segment display with some backlit icons, in my dream it had a full color LCD display and on the left side it showed an error message that included the contact info for the repair company (which was for some reason based in the UK). I didn't want to get in trouble for excessive flushing so I came up with some story about how toilet paper wouldn't flush so I had to repeat it many times. I think there was also another segment of the dream in which I opened a box of cookies but it turned out they looked nothing like the picture on the packaging, I even wanted to take a picture with my Samsung to upload it to some subreddit about bad designs or something like that.

As usual in these types of dreams everything from the minute I stepped in the classroom went wrong. We were told to pick up our classroom IDs when we walked in. I picked up the same sticker that other people did when they entered the room and went to a seat where I could see the screen at the front of the room perfectly. As soon as I at down someone told me that I wasn't allowed to sit in that seat and needed to find another one. I finally found another seat and ended up sitting there with another person. There were 2 teachers, one of whom was a former high school classmate of mine. The main teacher came to the front of the room , looked down at my classroom ID and told me I had the wrong one. I tried to tell her that I picked up the same sticker that the other people had but she said my classroom ID was somewhere else and I had to find it. I looked through a desk and finally found it stuffed in a cubby hole with a bunch of other things. The teacher told me I had to sit at the desk where my ID was.

Then I was on the beach and some kid had this huge water balloon machine and was hitting people on the beach and getting them wet. One hit me in the shoulder. Then things got weird when I was walking along the shoreline where there were big rocks, I found a deer skull with the antlers still attached. Then I found a huge alligator skull. I wanted to keep them but I couldn't carry them both, so I tried to hide the deer skull in the sand.

That was it. I woke up after that.

Post by: SpacePinto on January 19, 2022, 08:23:14 PM: My latest dream was kind of weird and it was pretty much about me being chased by several cult horror villains, and the main one was Jason Voorhees. I was scared of him the most in this dream and literally every second I was worried that he could pop up any moment and stab me in the stomach with his machete and that would be the end. I think there was also someone else with me there, probably an older guy in a tuxedo and with a mustache, he was probably suddenly stabbed by Jason before my eyes but I'm not sure. It carried on for quite some time, during which I was alert the entire time out of fear that I could run into Jason, until finally it turned out it was all just an elaborate Halloween party at my extended family's house that I was attending with my mom. For some reason, though, I was still afraid of Jason even though I already knew it wasn't real. I just wanted for all of this to end so when the party was finally over I went to a corner room with a seriously littered floor to pick my shoes before leaving. However, I couldn't find one of my shoes in all that mess, but I just wanted to get out of there already so I just left with one foot bare, because apparently I wasn't wearing socks in that dream. Unfortunately, on our way home my mom noticed my shoe was missing so I decided to go back to get it after all. That was when it turned out we were traveling by helicopter and the pilot for some reason decided to land quite a few blocks away from our family's house. I had to go all the way there on foot which I hated because I was apparently still afraid of Jason. In the end, I got back in the room, found my other shoe, I think there was also a door leading to a really dilapidated, abandoned room there, but I don't remember what happened after that, I'm not even sure if I actually still believed that Jason was real and that I had to run from him at that point.

I found myself having nerdy dreams last night about my job, which by the way is also very stressful at the moment. I fully agree that dreaming about things helps me to process them and can sometimes help me to make headway in areas where I am confused or disorganised. I suffer with information overload and I think dreaming helps me to process things, possibly a bit slower than other people. So my wierd dream last night was just a load of columns and figures about geranium seeds.

For some reason I assumed that I could just prepare for the test by looking through my notes right before the test, I also somehow thought that I would find some way to take care of the report as well. Of course it didn't work out and I ended up completely unprepared just when the test was about to start. I sat in a desk somewhere in the very back, next to some guy I knew from the middle school, I think I started talking to him, but then it turned out I was actually sitting in the first row, right in front of the teacher's desk. The teacher entered the classroom and it turned out it was my old music teacher from the elementary school who was also my mom's old friend. For some reason, she came accompanied by a little girl who was like a miniature replica of herself, and I also noticed she had very hairy legs. Then I also realized she was handcuffed with the girl by their wrists, which was apparently prescribed by the kid's psychologists due to her having some problems or something. The teacher didn't actually say anything and she seemed kind of angry, then she came to some girl's desk and placed two sheets of paper in front of her. One was printed lyrics to some popular song and the other was covered with some handwriting. The teacher ordered the girl to sing the handwritten text to the tune of the song on the print, and what I heard included a lot of insults towards the teacher. That was when it turned out that kids around the school liked to sing a parody of the pop song with altered lyrics that made fun of the teacher, and apparently she just found out. She was pretty angry and then the test was about to begin. I realized that I was completely unprepared and I still didn't have the paper ready, so I got scared that not only would I fail the test but I would also get another F for not turning in the paper. Then suddenly it turned out the teacher actually had to be replaced because she had to be somewhere, and the substitute teacher turned out to be some relatively young (below 40) guy who was pretty chill, he started talking about today's class as he sat there casually at the teacher's desk, I was silently hoping the test would be moved to a later date but I didn't want to get my hopes up, that was when he finished by announcing that he won't give us the test today and everyone rejoiced including me. He then added that since there won't be a test today and since it was our last class of that day, we could all just leave and go home. I was getting ready to leave the classroom when I noticed a note pinned to the bulletin board on the wall that some people were reading. It turned out to be an announcement that the science test was moved to two weeks from now but because of that it will also include some extra material. I was relieved that I won't have to worry about the test for another two weeks, but I was also upset there would be more to learn. I tried to read what extra material would be on the test but I realized I couldn't memorize it so I just took a picture with my phone. Some time later I was already on my way out of school but I got my pants stained with mud or something so I changed into clean pants and I sent the dirty one to the laundry. Then I tried to look something up on my phone and then I realized to my horror that I threw my pants in the garbage bin (?) with my phone still inside and it was now gone, but then it turned out there was a plastic hamper next to me, I looked inside and my pants were there on the top, with my phone still in the pocket. That's the last thing I remember from this dream.

I was in a covered wagon by myself. I don't know who was driving. Maybe it was just me and the horses. I was really hungry and the wagon stopped at an open air market (like the one in Saint Denis if you've played the game). I bought a carrot from the vegetable seller and then I heard shouting and screaming. I looked around and people were eating each other. I ran from there as fast as I could and saw a white horse. I gave him the carrot and instinctively knew his name was Rocket. I hopped up on him and we galloped away while I could still hear the people being ripped apart.

After we moved the House I used to live in Really did start to fall apart I was actually shocked... That means more scary dreams...
In my 1st dream... I was in my old house (Again) the house became leaky and very scary looking Nothing much happened in this dream except for it was scary and the visions would fade in and out.
on my 2nd dream... I was out in a field and I heard this sound... I looked up and there are Military's airplanes flying above. some of them are dropping (Well you know) and I ran to my old house across next to this field and its already on fire. (I probably should of told you guys this dream Last year but only now is it really scary :yikes: )
On my 3rd dream... I was in a truck pulling a Camper I was with my family who was in the camper at the time and we are trying to get out of town... Now there is this guy who shows up in my dreams every now and then he looks a lot like the guy from cruel intentions I forgot his name but very cute... and he was walking his dog and they didn't care what was going on around them or what people where doing around them just living there life Happy... I was have a liking towards this guy in my dreams (Kind of silly) but I do, he might be a future husband who knows what he is... but In my dreams I'm totally head over heals for him. but my family is taking me further away from him than Id like to be... Cause A We are escaping and B he is not and I have no choice but to go with my family. (Hmmm Maybe My dream was based on love after a very long thought and not my home for I am single... Maybe Its not so scary after all... :good:) that dream was last month... But why does my dreams run together so it seems like...

I was in an amusement park with the Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Bowser from Mario Bros. We were trying different rides and games. There was an arcade that had Galaga and Asteroids. There was a huge Ghostbusters sign at one point.

I can't really remember any details, but the visuals were cool. Also, the idea of hanging out the K. Klowns and Bowser is funny to me :lol:

Last night I dreamed that I was on a ship that was sinking and telling someone they had to get out before they drowned.

Later I dreamed I was back in school and everyone that uses a CPAP machine had to carry them at school. For some reason the teacher took everyone's machines out of their bags and they got mixed up. I had someone else's machine and was trying to find mine. I stopped one person and explained the machines were mixed up but she didn't have mine. I went back to the room and started trying to figure what machine belonged to who. I finally found out the one I had belonged to someone named Logan. I figured Logan had my machine and my dream ended as I was gathering everything up in box to take to the office to try to find Logan and see if he had my machine.

I was pretty scared because now they knew everything and they knew I was with them, I was hoping I would get away but I knew I would now go to jail for many years. I tried telling myself that my invisible ink message from earlier would serve as evidence that I wasn't one of them and was actually trying to stop it, but it didn't make me feel much better. Even when I woke up early in the morning, it still took me some time to realize it was just a dream and for a while I was actually lying in bed worrying about what would happen with me, but then when I finally came fully to my senses I realized it wasn't actually real, and it was such a relief. Then I briefly fell asleep again, and in my second dream I went for a walk somewhere and then decided to take the shortest route back home, which happened to be along same paved walkway between some wall and some really thick foliage. The path was actually covered with nettles growing between tiles, but I told myself that since I had long pants and since there weren't that many of them, it probably shouldn't be a problem, and when after some time the nettles became much thicker I just told myself that it's a good thing I decided to wear long pants that day, but eventually I noticed an entire wall of nettles obscuring everything ahead of me and I decided I would actually have to go back and take a longer route. At this point it turned out the whole thing was actually in some tunnel underground, and when I finally reached the entrance through which I had gotten in there before, it turned out it was blocked. For some reason I decided to sleep on it, and when I woke up I was terrified to find I couldn't open it and was trapped there, but eventually I did find some way that I don't even remember now. I got out and I noticed the sky outside looked very nice, and then I went home. Some time after that, I woke up.

Does anyone else go along with the idea that you get strange dreams at Halloween, about people who have passed? I also think I've become super sensitive the further I've gone along in my pregnancy and for the last week or even two it's like I've been feeling the veil get increasingly thinner. My dreams have been about people who I loved in my life and lost years ago, also anxieties about freinds who are still living but I don't see them any more. Maybe since I moved away from my home town I've become lonely.

I had a freind at grad. school who dived in and rescued me when an angry housemate decided to come home drunk and assault me. I have always had intense feelings for him even though we weren't a physical couple at any time. He died around two years ago at work, from a heart attack. I knew he had a lifelong heart problem, he was still only around 40 years of age. He was working in Virginia, USA and I hadn't seen him for years but one of our former colleagues let me know. I still think about him really often and dream about him. Lately I've been dreaming or thinking about him very often and also my Nanna on my Father's side, who was wonderful to know a very kind ally when I was a kid. She died when I was 18 years old.

Basically, it started with me finding a picture (online maybe?) of one of the streets in my neighborhood from around 1995, but then it turned into watching a documentary from around that time with the cameraman walking around all the streets in that area. What was really weird is that the documentary in that dream was really realistic and detailed, I swear it felt just like watching something real about my town, although I think at one point it featured an apartment building that doesn't exist in real life (but then again, later in the dream I rewatched the documentary and I think it turned out I had actually mistaken it for another building further down the road that does exist IRL), at one point it even featured a small strip mall that I sometimes visit and I remember how surprised I was to see what stores were located there back then (I know one of them had a really ridiculous name, but I don't remember it now). I liked that video so much that I decided I will compare each scene with Google Street View to see what those buildings look like today, and when I woke up I was really disappointed to learn that it was all just a dream and that this documentary doesn't really exist, especially since it just felt so real...

the other night i had one of those dreams where i keep trying to get somewhere and i never do. i keep getting sidetracked and forgetting what i'm doing.

In my dream I had gone somewhere for an appointment and the snowstorm hit while I was there. My family was trying to get back home. It was night and there was snow piled up everywhere. My dad was driving and decided to take a highway. The roads were packed with blue glittery ice. I could see it when the headlights shone on it. I screamed a couple of times. At some point in the dream. I realized it must be a nightmare and started saying "Wake up! This can't be real." A noise woke me up from the nightmare.

My dream was about where I was with my parents and they took me along to a random location that was about a homicide. I remember myself walking into the already cleaned up house and all of a sudden like falling over and catching myself on a bed. Next, I walked around to see what was happening and I walked to this small bedroom and observed the room. I looked around and saw like a dead body outline or something and I opened the closet and saw like cut off feet in the closet shelf. And then I remember myself saying in the dream after someone asked,

"We are still trying to investigate what this could be"

and then I said,

"I LOVE investigations!"

And I woke up soon after and realized I need to get ready for school. I am still confused why I had this dream. :(

The reason why I went there was that there was a special section for ponies! :wow: The large room/hall where the ponies were supposed to be was mostly full of other old stuff and the ponies had their own little area on the back wall of the hall. I thought I was going to see a lot of ponies because there were big advertisements/brochures about ponies in the doorway of the hall and two strange dark colored ponies were standing there. I don't remember seeing any ponies on the back wall at all, but a lot of photo albums with photos given by different people, showing people with toy ponies. :pout: I was very disappointed with the exhibition and cursed out loud about the loss of my money, until suddenly I heard the museum director coming and saw that he is King Diamond himself (a Danish/American singer whom I admire very much)! :shocked: :heart: Wow he owns that museum! I went to him to talk, wondering about the lack of pony department. He said that this section of the museum is brand new and the ponies are just getting there…
I don't remember anything more about the dream… I think I woke up to something and then the dream was over. This was the first time he's in my dream.. maybe I've been listening to his music too much. :blush: :snicker:

The lady that owned it got mad at me when I told her she was a bad person for running the farm and exploiting the animals. She chased me with a guitar.

The first one was a few nights ago and I dreamed I was trapped in a car that was filling up with water and was about to drown. This is one of my irrational fears to the point where I was watching a movie one time and this situation happened to the characters in the movie and it startled me a little because it was unexpected.

In the dream I had last night, I was a character from one of my favorite animes. I dream stuff like that sometimes, but this one was weird for several reasons.

We had all flown to Japan and were staying in hotel. All of the other anime characters were in different rooms in different parts of the hotel and my roommates were people I went to school with or interacted with recently. We were supposed to have a schedule of things to do but on one would tell me where we were supposed to be, I met a dog and fell asleep. I also fell in to a pool and started drowning, but I turned in to a mermaid. I thought I wouldn't get out of the pool because my tail was so heavy, but I finally managed to.
