Well if anyone here needs to make a sale I am in the market for pretty pal accessories. I have a wanted posted up in the wanted topic. As I dont wanna turn my topic into a sale thred.

Very frustrated I can't find a simple pink sand box or wagon or stack toy. And it's so frustrating. It never use to be like this and yes I do belive that the virus has caused alot of price inflation. I was in the market for betty spaghetty dolls before the pandemic hit and got a lot of dolls for very little. Now I go and look at dolls I had already bought they're asking $75 for a single doll that I paid $16 for that doll and 10 others in the same lot.

The pony market is not necessarily this bad but some things I see make me wanna puke. I mean really???

I get people have lost jobs and can't go out and risk their health by thrifting but some people really need to take into consideration what is resell value and what is basically over scalping. For example $55 for a flawed molasses candy cane pony with highlighter Mark's and mismatched head and dread locks. Obviously a none collector selling.
But even some of the pony knowledge people are pushing prices to the max.

I mean the seller can ask whatever they want. That is fine..but you have to wonder if the item is worth asking this much and it not selling. I feel the less I cave the more prices might go down. It's gotta get to a point where it's just no is no.

It might take me years but I refuse to pay over inflation of prices.

That went on to a rant..but no really I can't find thing posted for sale at all.
I am wondering if there will be much of a community in the next 20 years. And every little piece will be so expensive and antique that new collectors will not be able to enjoy what we do they won't be able to obtain hardly a thing just beacuse by that time it will be 60 years old lol!

Pony Corral / Um .. so Is it more difficult to find pony sets now n days?
« on: January 30, 2021, 05:51:51 PM »
Guys I have come back into collecting after a 3 year brake. And alot has changed. I can't find hardly a thing anymore.

I am looking for baby items like sandboxes and stack toys even bottles!

Are they becoming more rare or is everyone taking a brake from the holiday sales?

What's going on these days?

I remember having the betty in paris set which came with that pink poodle... I would love to have that poodle again! Betty spaghetti doesn't really seem to show up so often on ebay etc.  If anyone finds a catalog or info about the line I'd love to have a look at it  :)

I have acquired 2 sets of this but only one complete. I think ebay also has a min in box one for $80
I've got little booklets of Playsets. Betty is extremely scarce and it's hard to tell when older sets came out and in what order. I don't think anyone knows what the first set really was.
And the worst part there is only one person that I know of  out there that collects..other than me.

Also marari and other selling platforms are worth a look too.

Betty in Paris was my very first complete mint in box set that I got as a kid for Christmas.

Pony Corral / Re: "Outsider" reactions in the past?

I don't recall negativity toward us in the early 2000s
No one really knew about us unless there where looking. And even no one really stoped to pay any mind.

This Comunity for the most part is all about the toy collecting. G1 G2 and G3 are all about the toys for the most part.

G4 has many sides..so with that being said it is just asking for different results and in the wrong hands you get negative results.

I know it made the news talking about g4 with a g1 pony picture. I know it made the Bronies loose their stuff. I dont think that Bronies like being osocated with G1 for the most part.

People on the outside dont know the difference and it makes much judgment for everyone involved.

The Brony community has alot of negative attached to it whether they deserve it or not.

I think Jerry Springer wanted a Brony to screem at on his show. They couldn't get one.

But I can't say that G1 had anything that bad.

Dose anyone Collect these?
Or Remember them?

I have Found almost everyone ever made.  but no place for info about them.

The positive was I let my niece Watch Rainbow Brite and began to delve into Nostalgia and came across FIM told my brother that it was like a slice of life anime and we watched it together. I bought blind bags and then started to recall my long lost 80's ponies and I basically dropped G4 like a hot patato. I still watched it with my brother and all but began to come onto the 80s community.

--

Well here is the negative..

With the exception of both my brothers.
Most bronies hate G1. I was out casted in a group for likeing G1 and they treated me as they where embarrassed for me.
The show dropped the ball.
The toy line kept releasing the same core 6 and cheap chunky plastic with hardly any gimmick to them. As the years went my the toys got worse.

Some Bronies are overly sexual and inappropriate turned mlp into porn. People made comments on my G1 shirt saying they where so sexual and I had to explain that it hasn't anything to do with hasbro. And these where the 80s ponies..sigh...

Bronies treat mlp like inappropriate anime.

I am happy to be in this community despite a few turns of events with things I don't wanna talk about. And this community has shown me the ugly side of collecting G1 ponies I almost quite this forum beacuse of it.

The fact is that people make things beautiful and things toxic it depends what one your concentrating on.
What you dwell in is what will bring to the table your self.

Positive vibes bring positive tribes.

And what it is to you is what it will be..so make it a good experience.

Looks like I caved and $105.00 later I finally Got A Hannah's Doos and a ton of others.. If her hair Peice It glued in like the last one I bought The seller will just cancle my order. She is going to check all the Dolls with the removable hair peice.

I think with all of my research and collecting I have gained enough knowledge that I can Probably Create a Price range for the Dolls to educate the public so that people aren't asking for $65 to $100 per common doll
I Could see asking maybe $40 To $80 On Hannah And Emily Skate set.
I could see $16 to to $40 at most for Hannah's Doos.
The Hannah's sets seem to be rare and don't come up as often as Betty and Zoe go figure.

Ugh I hope this the most I'll ever have to spend On a lot again..But for now I just see it happening.

How frustrating..

I just wanna launch a YouTube Channel of complete sets.  :freak:

The Dollhouse / Problems With Betty Spaghetty 90's Doll

So I am In The process of Collecting Betty Dpaghetty Dolls for a YouTube Channel Launch.
I have been able to obtain almost every set but a handful of very early sets or very late ones.
I have been looking for Hannah's Doos and Hannah and sister Skate set forever I have notice that use particular sets are come up for sale very often lately. I am also on the hunt for soccer playset that I have lost Parts in a lot for sale.
Besides my frustration for searching for some sets I mentioned a few above.

Price inflation is ridicules this year. Hannah's doos sold MIB 5 months ago for $30 then it came up for sale for $80 mib.
Then I bought a lot from macari and her hair was glued in and I ended up breaking the doll cleaning out the glue. Just bad luck with this.

Anyway..

Last summer I got a ton of common sets for $15 in a lot and $30 and $50 and $75 was the most I spend for a crap ton.
And these where a mix of ones I see frequently on ebay and ones I don't see come up for sale often.

With keeping up on ebay, mercari, Depop. Poshmark.
I know know what's common and what's rare ish. I dont think anyone is really rare but maybe the socker set.

I contacted a lady asking her about her Hamnah's Doos set and she said it's worth $65 plus shipping.. I literally just bought that doll for $17 granted her hair was glued but I am sure the seller wasn't aware most betty hair peices dont come out. The Doo's sets are the only ones that do. But that's besides the point.

Since when is Betty and Ally Skate worth $65 ?
It's like when people ask for my little pony Sundance for $600 on ebay beacuse she's so rare like every single vintage MLP..right?

Why is no one looking at the sold listings history?
Why are people asking $120 for a lot of 6 sets

And guys I am willing to spend Money I just dont think anyone has any knowledge on Betty Spaghetty Dolls. It's becoming obscure and no one remembers her.

And they definitely think she's going to help pay off the mortgage apparently.

Anyone Have opinions on this?

They are fun! That's why I buy huge lots off of ebay even though I already have most of them. Even duplicate pieces are more fun than limited ones.
You can make some cool outfits.
