I bid on 2 small lots from the same seller not realizing they didn't offer combined shipping. The Shipping was stated at well over $25 for each lot, so I paid $53.45 in shipping. Almost double the cost of the combined price of the 2 lots (under $35).
2 Boxes arrived today
Cost of the boxes $1.99 each
Cost of shipping $10.05 each.
What do I do about the $29+ in Exorbitant fees?
I entered into a contract for the stated shipping fee, but ebay also has something against exorbitant shipping costs?
Granted I got the lots for a steal, probably the shipping turned everyone else away.
I'm kind of feeling bad for the seller, I got a good deal on the ponies, but I can't dismiss a $30 shipping overage!
I know the seller still has to pay ebay for the shipping fee, but they should never have charged this much in the first place. I even messaged them before paying to ask for combined shipping in a MEDIUM flatrate box (under $15).
What Should I do?
Obviously I messaged the seller asking for a reasonable explanation for stealing my $30. I would have let $5 or $6 slide as I know how expensive ebay fees are.
I don't want to be the one to tarnish a perfect rating, but unwilling to work with me on combined shipping - not even using a packing service. Each was in a ziplock no paper, peanuts, bubble wrap or air pillows. Not even a self printed label just Ziplocks, tape & a box.
Thought I might touch base with everyone....
She offered me a $10 refund - I didn't respond. She asked ebay to step in.
Ebay sided with her. I appealed - ebay again sided with her.
I then called Ebay they said they would reevaluate my claim & transferred me to Paypal where I filed a claim. She never responded to the claim... Finally I got my money back. & both of us had eachother's feedback removed by ebay.

I have purchased from the seller before....
I just won one of her massive lots, but was immediately messaged that her Ex hacked her PP & drained her out. She sent me another PP address to pay her with.
States she & her current Spouse are both NY police SGTS, battling cancer etc. I feel bad for the sob story, but dealing with a $150+ purchase I can't afford to take a $200 risk. What should I do?
I suggested we cancel the sale and she setup a private listing for just me using the correct PP address, so I could use PP credit. Her reply was to offer a second chance to another buyer. I don't want to lose the purchase, but I still want the ebay protections on my $150+ purchase.

Package received, but it had some un-pictured items and at least 1 missing item, but what I really wanted was in there!

I'm sure you are all sick of e-bay rants, but I'm frustrated that my buyer (jjackson1961) never even reached out to me before leaving negative feedback and in the feedback stating that they threw out their purchase.
I have been selling "random G1 accessory lots" on e-Bay for nearly 3 years now. This is the first time I have had anyone that has been upset with their purchase. I accepted an offer that was $7 less than my asking price, so quite naturally the package I shipped contained the absolute minimum stated item count. Still with every package I send I look back and ask myself "Would I be willing to pay what my customer just paid to receive this bundle?"
Each package I ship is customized to my buyer's preferences (within reason)
Prior to shipping I asked the buyer 3 simple questions:
1) Is this for a specific occasion (packaging style)?
2) What is your favorite color (for the genuine MLP ribbon I use)
3) Are you looking for anything specific (please send a wantlist)/ anything you want me to avoid?
I gave her 3 days for a reply to these questions. She never responded.
I went ahead and shipped a package with a FMV of $25 (double what she paid).
I never knew there was an issue until I looked at the feedback I received:
"Shipping was fine but, what i received was nasty went in the garbage"
She was responsive to the after the fact email I sent asking her what was wrong with the package and why she didn't even bother to address her dissatisfaction prior to leaving negative feedback. The response was "hairy" no further details or photo.
............ Needless to say there are a few less G1 accessories around...RIP G1 accessories..............
My listing has been updated slightly to add more clarity around 30+ year old items.
Also I will start taking photos of the packages I send before mailing.
Sorry for my rant, but not even giving me a chance before leaving feedback is completely unfair.

Greetings, I understand that we all do it to some extent, but to see a pony sold with a FALSE inaccurate description rehaired being listed for 3X the price it was purchased for makes me sick. If that is the same hair she certainly did wonders, but my pony had cut hair & cancer. I would certainly ask questions regarding re-hairing any ponies you decide to buy from this seller.

Tax season has me rather busy these days- we are only about half way through the busy Season. I finally found some time to breathe! Buyer purchased Peeks from me.
She asked if I I had Puddles, so I sent BOTH and only charged her for the one.
Then requested an off ebay sale. I tried to direct her to signup on the arena or through facebook, she refused, so I agreed to allow her to pay with a USPS Money order via mail. She sent me a Money Gram.
Anyway I lost the item I was going to sell her.
I refunded her the 25 through paypal and then received negative feedback on e-bay.
This all took place over a 3 week period (during the holiday), so yes my typical slowness was a factor...
1) we were both in the wrong- it is against e-bay policy to sell something outside of e-bay (but my understanding is that the rules is ONLY referring to an item listed on e-bay, for which this item NEVER was listed).
2) she got her item, a full refund of the additional money we had agreed on for the off ebay purchase AND a 100% FREE pony and now I suffer negative feedback for the whole thing.
3) I await e-bay's review of my request to remove the malicious feedback... probably won't do me any good.
4) Possibly because the buyer has a private feedback setting I can't even respond to the negative feedback I received???? Maybe it is because I still have an open "report this buyer".
Thanks for listening to my rant...... Simply sellers beware.

Rather nasty exchange of emails.... over a MAJOR holiday nonetheless.
Anyone who has dealt with me knows:
1) I take forever on Trades
2) Always pull Through
3) Take my time shipping.
I am a buyer & seller- to some perhaps a flipper (I have a VERY large collection and most of the time I buy I really only need 1-5 items and no use for the other items, so I pass extras along).
I understand the pains and anticipation when waiting...
Said member sent a best offer. I accepted it. Paid the following day.
4 days later (Christmas day) demanded a tracking number.
MY response:
I was at my folks for the Holiday and that I would ship Mon or Tues since on vacation I was unable to ship out Sat.
Buyer: You didn't say anything about going on vacation. Cancel my Order
Response: I copied my shipping terms back and stated Clearly listed in my auction/listing I stated Shipping was done Saturday ONLY.
Buyer then threatens to defame my perfect feedback for their experience.
Again I realize I am probably the slowest shipper you will deal with. And fully understand the anticipation over adding new additions to my collection...
As long as I Clearly list my Shipping terms in the listing is this request unreasonable especially within the Holiday Shipping Chaos?
Since I can't keep up with buyer demand and ebay's shipping TOS (within 4 days) I'm seriously considering leaving e-bay- Too often they side with the buyers, who are not always honest.
Ultimately a refund of $7 is not worth defamation, so I did send a refund & cancelled the purchase and blocked the buyer.
