Today I found a Ken doll I didn't laugh at! Usually when I see Ken, I can't stop laughing at whatever pink thing Barbie managed to force him into. I think this must be a new set of Fashionistas, because the back of the box has an ad for Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse. Meijer had marked down all the old Kens that had been laying around, but this gorgeous fella was marked down too:) I got him for $7:) visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI'm really excited about the dolls in this line! I'm always complaining Barbie doesn't wear enough gold. I kinda sorta fell for a rescue cat today. I've ALWAYS loved cats, and I had one as a child. As an adult, I could never have one because I was married to a man who was very allergic. Well, we've recently divorced, and I'm alittle lonely, and I love animals, and I'm not seeing a down side here...... As soon as people started to hear about the divorce, pretty much everyone said "Well, now you can get a cat!" This cat has such an attitude! She was biting me and scratching at me. I was cracking up:) She kept giving me the dirtiest looks. She's fat and a little *beep* just like me! I love her All the other cats were $65, but she was $20. I asked why she was so cheap, and they said she had been with them for quite awhile..... I just walked in the adoption place today. I haven't shopped around. Is that a bad thing? I'm afraid of making such a big choice so quickly. It's not something you should take lightly. I think I'd like to hear stories about the down side to owning a cat, so I can get an idea of what I have to look forward too  Any advice?

I need help. I bought a cassette (does anyone even know what that is anymore? ) of the MMPR The Album: A Rock Adventure a million and one years ago. It's very old and been listened to more times than I'd like to admit. Does anyone own the CD (does anyone even know what that is anymore?) It's out of print and I can't touch it for less than $100. I WILL not pay $100 for a CD. I miss the Skullettes Mattel would design for every character:( They were a fun little extra for me. I liked seeing everyone's symbol. I've mourned them for quite some time now. I was on TRU's website tonight and noticed a couple new (to me) ones! Thought I'd share. Maybe someone out there misses them as much as I do  Oh! I recently moved and just noticed today while putting things away that I lost some small piece of Cleo's vanity. I'm a crazy "gotta have it all" collector, so this is gonna bother me pretty much for the rest of my life I was hoping to find someone who is less crazy than I am to replace this piece for me:) If my piece turns up (I don't think it will though, sadly) I'll gladly return yours to you:) I'm willing to buy, I don't have much to trade. Please don't make me buy a SECOND vanity for something so small  visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI just need the TOP of the black triangular thingie (I think it's eyeliner.) I can't seem to be able to find what doll this dress shirt came with:( I found it on Ebay in a lot with a whole bunch of stuff I didn't want, that had a HIGH price tag. Just want the shirt, but don't know how to go about finding it without any knowledge of where it came from. Any ideas? I haven't been shopping since Thanksgiving, and today was my first chance since after Christmas. I gathered what little Christmas cash I had and off I went.... First I went to K-mart and found the newest Monster High Add-Ons! Yay! That knocks two of my most wanted off my list. They were so new they weren't in the system and tried to charge me the Starter pack price. Good thing I was paying attention! They had the basic Scaris dolls but no Deuce:( Next was Wal-mart. I saw Skelita, and Jinafire (Monster High) for the first time, but practically dropped them on the floor when I saw Malie Tasker! (Novi Stars) I can't believe I have her! Michigan never gets new stuff this fast! On to Meijer. I got to see a couple of the Beach Bratzilliaz:) I didn't pick any of them up though. I'm on a very tight budget right now. Meijer was packed with the Picture Day dolls (Monster High) so I got to see all of them for the first time, too:) I stopped at TRU, next against my better judgement. Since I don't have much cash right now I didn't want to over pay, but how could I just drive right by? I found (and bought ) the Deluxe Fashion packs for the Monster High dolls (except Robecca's:( It was missing) and I found the newest Mystixx Vampires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have NO IDEA how excited I am to FINALLY complete this collection! The completeist in me has always wondered if they would release the rest. I guess the stop at TRU was worth it:) Last store to stop at? Target. I got to see the new Bratzillaz nite out line. I fell in love with pink! Jade<3 I overspent at TRU so I couldn't bring her home:( So sad  She is so beautiful! I also found a Style Stars Bratz for $8. I HAD to get that. I REALLY want the other 3 for that amazing price, so....... if anyone could help me with that, I'd be forever grateful. So I had a great dollie day! I feel terrible because I had to use my credit card, which I promised myself I wouldn't do, but I didn't except to stumble across a brand spanking new NS, and the Mystixx Vampires. All in all I'm crazy happy! Now off to de-box

I feel stupid creating a topic for one article of clothing, but I've fallen in love:) I must have it, and I'm willing to pay a decent amount for it (as far as single pieces of used doll clothes are concerned.) My problem is that the doll it came with is pretty rare I guess. I'd thought I'd ask here first, before I start bidding. I went shopping today and stumbled upon something I've never seen before. Granted, I don't spend a lot of time down the "Disney" aisles. Anyway, I was at TRU and saw (sorry, I'm not sure of the exact name  ) Disney My First Princess Toddler dolls, but PRINCES<3 They had Eric, Philip, and Flynn. I tried to find photos online and failed SO hard I found a listing on TRU's website, but no photo:( So, are these new? I've always liked the Princesses, but I've never seen Princes before. Feel free to turn this into an appreciation thread:) I'd love to see any anything you'd like to brag about:)

I've seen websites that restore old dolls to new. There's something common that happened to the very first Barbie dolls, where they're ears would turn green because of a reaction to the metal in the earrings, and the plastic of the heads. So I've been wondering, have doll companies updated the materials they use so that this doesn't happen anymore? Should we as doll collectors, just know not to display dolls with any kind of metal for long periods of time? Is it just certain types of metal that effect certain types of plastic? I've seen some beautiful homemade jewelry, but whenever I think about owning it, those pictures of Barbie with her green ears flash before my eyes Anyone know anything about this?

I want to re-body a LIV head on a Bratz body. Thoughts? I'm not familiar with Bratz AT ALL. How are their joints? Do they have joints at the elbows and knees? Some of the new ones on shelves now, don't look like they do If I want dolls with more movement, do I need to buy an older body on ebay, or are they all the same? Can Bratz and Bratzillaz share clothes? I think that may be all of my questions (for now ) Thanks for any help you can offer.

Um. Where can I buy Bratz clothes? No, seriously:) I want to buy a few separates, but I'm finding it a bit difficult. Ebay seems to have a bunch of lots, with dolls and shoes, for $30 and the like, but I don't want all that stuff. I'd like to buy some guy clothing for my MH CAMs...... Does anyone know of a site that sells very specific items of Bratz clothing? Thanks for your help:)
