ugh BC! that's a stressful way to wake up. i'm glad everything was resolved at least.

i have a lot to do today but i'm a bit bored. does anyone else experience the holidays as being kind of boring. i'm an only child so it was always kind of lonely. everyone else off doing their family thing. and i was usually sitting around. sometimes i wonder why i bother taking off work at all. at least it's something to do. i'm just not feeling excited to do anything. everything is blah.
Ugh. Yeah, the Holidays can be boring even when you are with people.  So much noise all at once, I usually end up wandering off.

I feel this way too sometimes.  It's always just my family and me and the few times we have tried to include other people it's a one and done type thing.

To me the 4th of July is pretty boring because there's not a whole lot to do until the fireworks start.

I opened my first Steebook movie yesterday hoping to watch it soon and was surprised that the piece of paper that gives you the synopsis and is not attached to the Steelbook.  So I put the paper next to the Steelbook, but it's a little weird not to have it attached.

I wanted to watch a movie, but I feel so bad that I don't feel like watching something new that I have to stay really focused on.

BlackCurtains, really stressful way to wake up!  :( I'm glad it was resolved!
(I can't make calls, figure things out, meet people right after I wake up. It's the worst when you have to wake up from a deep sleep to answer the phone or run to open the front door!)  :snore: :scared: :freak: :dizzy:

Every year the same complaint, I still haven't started putting up Christmas decorations, making cards or buying gifts.

*Joins the phone angst crowd*

And HoM, I feel you, I haven't started either... Well we have some advent calendars to get us in the mood, I got a traditional picture calendar from Mum and my husband bought us a coffee calendar to combat the darkness. But I was supposed to organise a holiday art swap that I've been postponing due to IRL stuff, and this year I'm seriously considering skipping cards altogether to save money as we're pretty tight at the moment. I enjoy sending cards and would feel bad about that though. I'm planning on putting up the tree on Sunday the 1st (we have a big plastic one). I love Christmas trees and I'm sure it would cheer us up. Besides, the box is currently sitting in our living room as we had to clear our storage space a few weeks ago for some renovations. I couldn't be bothered to take the tree back, but also haven't had the energy to set it up yet.

I have a bad habit of scratching myself too hard and leaving marks. I cut my nails super short but still manage to hurt myself. I scratched the back of my neck last night until it started to bleed and then it was really burning -_-

There was dried blood in my ear this morning again too.

I worked yesterday and today, but since Thanksgiving isn't a thing here I can't really complain about it :)

My complaint is that December is coming too quickly and my brain has no time for organising anything.

At least I didn't get stranded by the bus today. Unlike on monday -.-.

urgh, one of our tenants had to be evicted with 14 days emergency notice due to illegal behaviours, and they spent the final week causing damage, breaking things, stealing from the other tenants and then when he had his social worker move him out, he stole anything that he could get in the car.  dishes, the linens, lightbulbs, you name it.  and he "lost" his keys.  so now we have to replace a ton of things, we had to compensate the other tenants for their losses, we have a bunch of repair work to do in the suite, and we get to spend the next few months on high security just in case the idiot decides to be vengeful about being evicted.  *siiiiiiigh*

Wow, that's horrible! Did you get a security deposit?

My neck hurts again. Thankfully, the heating pad helps. It's just awkward using it sitting in my desk chair than say, lying down in bed.

I tried to pay my electric bill but it won't go through online. It just endlessly tries to load the page. I can pay by phone it says, but I've never done that before. The bill is due Monday and I'm going to wait and call them then incase I run into another problem.

I need to switch phone carriers. AT&T is too expensive. I'm looking at Visible, which is kind of funny, because that's Verizon and I'm pretty sure AT&T owns Verizon? I might call AT&T first and see if they can get me a cheaper plan but from what I can see online I'm already in the cheapest one, so we'll see.

that's horrible squirmy. is there any way to get compensation for damages?

I think AT&T and Verizon are still separate companies. IIRC it's just AT&T, Verizon, and T Mobile and the others are just reselling for the larger carriers. Like how Mint Mobile or Visible work. the prices are ridiculous because there isn't much competition :(

my complaint is i'm in a total funk. i think the years of working remote, and not having much to do outside the house are really starting to get to me. i like working remote because i hate commuting but i need to find stuff to do outside the house. i've been really lonely lately. moving to a new town during the pandemic isn't the easiest way to meet people. as hard as it is to make new friends as an adult. i still have friends at home but it's hard to keep in touch regularly. i think dealing with personal issues wouldn't be so hard if i had more of a support system. or at least more reasons to leave the house.

I love the colder weather but it's making me hurt. My joints are awful especially my knees. And despite the weather my allergies and sinuses have been so bad. I had to take a Benadryl yesterday and they totally knock me out and make me groggy for a long time. Aster has had leaky eyes and sneezing too.

My neck is still bothering me plus I'm getting pins and needles on the left side of my head. Several years ago I had an ongoing headache for 7 days and finally went to the ER. There was some nerve in my shoulder that goes up through the scalp that was irritated and they gave me a shot that helped. I wonder if this is the same kind of thing? I still have no insurance so I can't see a doctor.

We were starting to watch a movie when my dad got a phone call.  We'd only made it through the first couple of minutes, so I stopped the movie while I waited for my dad to finish. By the time he was done, the show I was watching was almost over.  It's a show I don't normally watch when my parents are around because I figure my dad wouldn't like it.   I was trying to catch the end which would have been over in minutes, but my dad started to get up. As soon as I turned the DVD player on, he sat back down.  So that tells me that he would have got up and left just because he didn't like the show I was trying to watch.

Sometimes he acts like a spoiled kid instead of an adult and we have to just put up with it.

He also gets upset if someone asks him to move out of the way at the store.  He'll back up several feet and stand there for minutes even if the person that asked him to move had a good reason like trying to get back to the checkout stand because they forgot something.

I feel so ordinary lately.

not really trivial but my mom is starting to go downhill more. the insurance doesn't want to cover her physical therapy because she's not getting better. my dad says it helps get her out of the house so i told him to try and pay out of pocket. her previous therapist also recommended a support group. i'm not really sure what that's like.  has anyone here done a support group? i don't need details/reasons. just wondering if it helped. i'm concerned it may be overwhelming.

People not getting back to me.
I contacted the electricity company who said I NEED a new meter, & they were going to install it on a day in November. I stayed home that whole day, unable to do anything, but nobody showed up. After that nobody emailed or texted me, so I had to (& you all know I hate this) CALL them up. They said they'd contact me with a new appointment but nothing is happening, no text, no email, nothing.
I got a letter from the benefits people saying I need to apply for Universal Credit by January, back in October. I got hold of somebody who said she'd refer me to people she thought could help, but nobody was in touch since. Last week I texted her, & she said calls (which I hate) were easier for her as she travels a lot. She was shocked nothing had been done & wanted a photo of my letter. She said she'd be in touch again shortly, but again, nothing.
Meanwhile the deadlines are looming & nothing is happening to meet them. I NEED that new meter if it has to be digital, & I NEED help applying this week!!! Why can't people get their rumps in gear???
