The hatch shading is very cool! And others are right that the super tall perspective on the Celestia piece makes for a really interesting composition!

If there is still time to sign up, could I? I would like to do "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer" if possible, that's a funny Christmas song. XD

So my mom and I decided to go to the Goodwill bins for fun right before they closed.
At first I was very sad and disappointed because: There was an older grandmother there who found a Crystal Lace before I could! Missed opportunity for me to get a pony  >_< (It's okay, we talked a little and she was sweet! She also collected ponies.)
But THEN I noticed: She was standing right next to a bin with an (incomplete) BUTTERFLY ISLAND!  As well as some other various pony accessories (And a Ponyville Movie Theater Playset). I just started grabbing as much as I could XD

I also managed to find a pony too! Tropical Delight, who was wearing a grass skirt I believe actually belongs to Skywishes.

I'm having a lot of fun identifying all of the little accessories. Happy day!

Not to spread any rumors, but for this to make it to production there must have been some employee somewhere to notice it and letting it slide to cause chaos or because it would be "funny" to subject kids to x-rated material.

I believe this was actually done on accident because they used AI to generate information on the boxes, and then did not double check it thoroughly enough.
Here is an article from earlier this year where Mattel expressed interest in using ai to make designing boxes faster: https://www.fastcompany.com/91146702/how-mattel-is-using-ai-to-bring-your-next-barbie-box-to-life

There are a lot of issues with companies embracing AI and using it for every single thing they do, but this is an example of how that can go wrong. Ai can't actually think for itself, it just uses keywords and makes up information that sounds like it would be correct. Hence, it saw the keyword "Wicked" as the movie title, and it just decided to make up the website Wicked dot com without really knowing that it is not the real movie website.

Arts & Crafts Corral / Homemade Shady Plush

Hope this is the right area to post a sewing craft
Recently I got very much into researching the official Butterick g1 sewing patterns, which you can find a scan of here: https://charmsponies.neocities.org/my%20blog%20pages/patterns . There are some other g1 MLP Butterick scans there too, like felt christmas ornaments or sweater and cardigan knitting patterns! I've been wanting to share this as much as I can so everyone can make these cute pony crafts  :)

Anyways, I've tested out the plush sewing pattern to make: Baby Shady! She is a gift for my boyfriend. I modified the Starshine pattern slightly so that she is standing more like a collector's pose than the hoof raised pose. She is also smaller than the official pattern, I wanted to test smaller patterns first to see how it goes before committing to making any larger plushes. This shady is 8 inches tall.

Baby Shady is entirely hand sewn, using pink fleece and a lighter pink on the hooves and ears. Her hooves have cardboard in the bottom so that she is more stable in standing (I believe the hasbro softies plushies have this too, as the bottom of their feet feels hard like something's in it) Which means this girl will be spot/surface clean only, no getting her super wet in case that leads to issues with mold or something icky  I also put weighted stuffed animal beads in her legs on top of the cardboard, and then stuffed her with regular stuffing. Yellow yarn for the hair, applied the same method that the Butterick ornament pattern describes. Her cutiemark and eyes are embroidered to the best of my ability XD (I do not believe I am good at embroidering but at least I tried!)

Introductions / Introduction: Charm's Ponies
« on: November 16, 2024, 01:27:48 PM »
Hello!  :)
My name is Casey, though in pony circles I'm known as Charm! You can call me he/him or she/her. I am in other pony spaces like the MLPTP and on various pony blogs. I've wanted to join this site for a while and was finally able to figure out making my account work!
I am 21 years old and have been actively collecting ponies of all generations for a few years. As of typing this I have 229 ponies in my collection (Not including any ponies that are in my "to clean/restore" bag or any of my wip restorations :) ) My favorite ponies are the g1 Chuck E Cheese pony and Fizzy!
I try to be positive and helpful, trying to share and preserve information related to My little pony well.
I do not know how active I will be on this site, but I hope to make new friends and am happy to be here!
