Hope this is the right area to post a sewing craft
Recently I got very much into researching the official Butterick g1 sewing patterns, which you can find a scan of here:
https://charmsponies.neocities.org/my%20blog%20pages/patterns . There are some other g1 MLP Butterick scans there too, like felt christmas ornaments or sweater and cardigan knitting patterns! I've been wanting to share this as much as I can so everyone can make these cute pony crafts
Anyways, I've tested out the plush sewing pattern to make: Baby Shady! She is a gift for my boyfriend. I modified the Starshine pattern slightly so that she is standing more like a collector's pose than the hoof raised pose. She is also smaller than the official pattern, I wanted to test smaller patterns first to see how it goes before committing to making any larger plushes. This shady is 8 inches tall.
Baby Shady is entirely hand sewn, using pink fleece and a lighter pink on the hooves and ears. Her hooves have cardboard in the bottom so that she is more stable in standing (I believe the hasbro softies plushies have this too, as the bottom of their feet feels hard like something's in it) Which means this girl will be spot/surface clean only, no getting her super wet in case that leads to issues with mold or something icky
I also put weighted stuffed animal beads in her legs on top of the cardboard, and then stuffed her with regular stuffing. Yellow yarn for the hair, applied the same method that the Butterick ornament pattern describes. Her cutiemark and eyes are embroidered to the best of my ability
(I do not believe I am good at embroidering but at least I tried!)
