Pet gifts swap?

I was just curious if there has ever been a pet gift swap on the arena? I do a lot of private pet swaps with people on and off the arena since I love shopping or making things for the critters. Usually my biggest activity in the arena is swaps since that's what I like, and I of course adore my fur children a ton. It was something I was curious about intwrest wise so I guess consider this an interest check. I haven't asked about hosting one yet or approval ect since I wanted to see if anyone would be interested?

If so what kind of price range would be reasonable for you? Would you prefer to buy things? Make things or both?

I think it would be best to stick with the smaller animals, since I know buying anything for my horse can run into a lot more than the little guys. Anyway thoughts?

Ooh, that would be cool! The only thing is there would probably have to be rules about treats and their ingredients/country of origin (I think treats made in China are still killing dogs, so...). And I guess a question would be what types of toys are okay for your pet (i.e. if your dog plays rough, they would need something like a kong and definitely not a plushie or anything with a squeaker!). But things like custom collars, leashes, sweaters and accessories for those of us who might occasionally dress up our dogs... All kinds of cool ideas!

Anyway, if this were to happen I'd be interested!

I'm actually surprised there haven't been more responses. I thought there would be more people interested in it.

That's a good thing to mention about treats. In swaps I've done with other pet owners I've very rarely sent treats because I don't ask for any. Like our dogs one has lots of allergies and had an issue before with a food making her puke blood, lots of vet tests unfun.

I guess everyone would need to be pretty specific about what their animals could have. It doesn't have to just be food or toys because I've done bandanas before and have made like hammocks and things for rats. I got blankets from someone before with the dogs names on it that they sleep with. I guess that also brings up how much people would want to spend?

I think 20$ is a good number. We could also list dislikes/likes and allergies if our pet has them.

$15-$20 sounds good to me. Maybe we can include an extra treat for the pet "parent"?
