Just noticed this in the BigW catalouge (Australia) At first i thought it was the normal train set, but then i noticed it was different.
It comes with Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Applebloom, as well as 2 extra train carts. Also the first time i have seen the tagline 'Pony Friends Forever"....(did they take that line straight from the 1st wedding episode? lol)

Has anyone seen this set around before? It has been released at the same time as the first wave of travel ponies.

I saw that advertised in the Big W catalogue too, hopefully well be getting it tomoro for my daughter, Im hoping it has similar tracks so can be connected to the first one they bought out, coz That would be heaps better having a longer track! Tho may have a few crashes with 2 trains on it.
But I think it looks pretty cool, havent seen it in person yet tho!

Looks like it's another TRU exclusive! The TRU exclusives that are coming out are called "Pony Friends Forever". They have been mostly repeats of past playsets and ponies randomly put together in a new "playset". I might actually consider buying this one because it's more track pieces! And 2 trains running at the same time would be pretty cool! (assuming it comes to the US).

Definitely a different train set than the current offering here in the US. I've only seen Pinkie Pie. The other trains carts I've seen online is Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle.

considering the ponys and cars included......id by taht..the pinkie only one seemed a bit silly to me

The Pinkie Pie train has been available here for a while now, the other 2 carts havent shown up locally yet.

I've seen the Pony Friends Forever logo tho - according to the Out Now & Coming Soon thread, that line also includes the Ride-Along Rarity with Daisy Dreams bonus set, Princess Celestia and Friends Teatime set, and the Ponyville Friendship Celebration Collection set. All of them are allegedly TRU exclusives...

Yes some items from the "Pony Friends Forever" are TRU exclusives. However, whether its the whole line or just some elements from it we dont know yet - the items listed in the Coming Soon thread as you have mentioned are all TRU exclusives and all part of the Pony Friends Forever line. It may very well be that there are other releases within the line which are not exclusive to TRU. Or alternatively all products in the Pony Friends Forever line may well be exclusive to TRU in the US but perhaps internationally it will be available to other retailers - TRUs exclusivity over the line could be limited to the US only. 

When a supplier like Hasbro sends out promotional shots for a product, they dont usually adapt them per country unless it is a very high end product [and even then sometimes you will get standard catalogue promo shots] - therefore although this promo picture shows US branding its probably just the same image all retailers carrying the product will get no matter the country they are in. However, it is a reasonable indication that its going to be out in the US at some point or that it was planned for a US release - but if its exclusive we ll need to wait and see what the TRU/HB product launch releases say.
