How's the G1 pony market this summer?

I've been out of the pony world for almost a year (except for a brief visit to help with the Holiday Swap), and have no idea what's selling these days.  I' have a tub full of G1's and some accessories, I'm seriously thinking of just sticking the whole lot on eBay, as is.  I really don't enjoy fixing them up anymore, and just the idea of having to wash & shampoo all those ponies sounds exhausting. Are people even still buying G1's, or has everyone gone over to the darkside-I mean G4's, lol?

Some of us don't mind cleaning them up ourselves. ;D I'd try to sell them here first personally. =)

I only collect G1's right now. So I'd love to see what you have......... I too have been out of the "Pony World" for a bit trying to get back into it though.

I agree. Most of us are familiar with how to clean ponies and actually enjoy doing it.

Bring them to the Cincinnati meet to sell them

I think there will always be a market for g1's.

I think the last year alone has brought so many new collectors - of multiple gens - to the collecting world you will probably get plenty of interest here depending on who and what you have. Perhaps you could simply have them for sale for so long and then what doesnt sell after 3 or 4 weeks, stick the rest on ebay?

I think pony prices seem to be steady at the moment and a lot seem to be higher than they were a year to 18 months ago.

Of course you should give us a stab at them first, there is still a demand for G1s! I'd be super interested to see what accessories you have!

Ok, I'll try and get some pictures in the next couple of days.  I don't have any thing rare, but some of them are pretty nice.  It's just going to be hard to sell them without grooming them first, I used to pride myself on selling picture-perfect ponies!

If you anything new in your tubs that I didn't see last time, I'd love to maybe buy some off you in person.

BTW, the Ohio pony meet is next month too, could sell there.

Here's a link to pics of the combs, brushes & baby accessories I had already photographed. I also have a pink topped bottle & a ducky pull toy (pink wheels/yellow centers).  The ponies will have to wait until I get back from WI in July.

I collect all generations. I am only collecting Blind Bag G4s. I have such a hard time finding G1s and G2s. I look almost every weekend and never find any. I will always be on the hunt though! I don't think you would have a hard time selling at all. I love cleaning ponies and making them feel pretty again!
