I have Cherries Jubilee!
I think my sister may have acquired her from France. But she was a Christmas gift, so I am not certain.
I think the set has been sighted in some stores in the US and maybe Canada?
I picked up the earth pony set with Lickety, posey, etc in the summer at toysrus (here in Canada) along with Gusty, sparkler, etc at the same time.

I’ve been checking the target website for ages trying to catch the earth ponies in stock.
All four earth ponies were in stock on the target website this morning and I ordered them to my friends place in the states! (Shipping to Canada was as much as the four together ughhh)
Now I can’t wait to get them shipped to me up here lol

I really wish the distribution was better everywhere.
The post Sunset shared didn’t mention a Canadian contact but did list the first set of Rainbow ponies at Toys R Us. And they’ve definitely been found there. Toys R Us also didn’t say they wouldn’t get more but that they didn’t know if more were coming. I do think Toys R Us is our best bet. Fellow Canadians want to join me in continuing to let Toys R Us know how much we want them!?
I think Indigo may be a lost cause. I had a lot of detailed discourse with them over the last year and it seemed they had great difficulty getting the ponies in stock. They kept planning release dates only to not be able to get the stock and pushing dates back. Then the ponies only showed up very briefly well after Toys R Us was regularly stocking them. I got the sense in the emails they were very frustrated trying to work with Basic Fun for the ponies.
Walmart and EB Games may also be options but tend to be pretty random with their toy stocking. I wonder if there’s a way to get in touch with Amazon Canada too and see if they can get them since Amazon in some other countries seem to have the ponies.
I’m hoping TRU gets them. The 19.99 price tag at EB and Chapters/indigo is just too much and they don’t ever go on sale. I was able to get them on sale for 7 bucks each at Toys R Us. I’d be happy to pay the 12.99 regular price too especially for the upcoming waves. I don’t know why Walmart and Amazon won’t carry them. Argh.

Little update for Canadian folks. Toys R Us messaged me to say they don’t know what stock they will get in advance so we have to wait and see. Indigo responded to say they won’t be carrying anymore Retro ponies. My local EB Games can’t find anything in the system about them either. I’m getting quite nervous about whether we will get the Unicorn and Pegasus Ponies, Earth Ponies and second set of Rainbows here. I haven’t contacted Walmart, but my local store got rid of the My Little Pony section and items months ago. There is nothing on Amazon Canada that isn’t through third party sellers either. I fear not being able to get these ponies without at least tripling their cost by adding in currency conversions, expensive shipping costs, and border fees.
Basic Fun has not responded to any of my inquiries this month or last month. Even if they can’t give me a lot of information I’d apppreciate a response.
It’s exciting that these ponies are being made but the lack of information and spotty distribution is frustrating.
Thanks for looking into it. Sometimes we just get things late but right now it does not look good. It’s frustrating how often we will get a single wave of some things and then nothing after. I didn’t see cutie mark crew wave 2 anywhere but was glad it ended up in Dollarama of all places. TRU and Walmart babe wave 3 so that might mean no one will stock wave 4. I have some of the retro uni/pegs in my cart on amazon.com but importing and conversion is so killer like you said. Fingers crossed we do see them I stores soon.

Has anyone in Canada heard if any of the sets beyond the collector ponies and first set of rainbows will be released here? I’ve contacted Indigo, Toys R Us and Basic Fun through their support pages but haven’t gotten any responses.
I’d also like to know this!

I love them! I have queen chrysalis, metallic twi, cadence and shining Armor (I wish they were more metallic), armoured guard, celestia and flurry heart!
I really love the throne that celestia comes in, and wish chrysalis came with something other than a gift because that makes no sense lol

I’m in Toronto and I saw the set of 6 rainbow ponies at TRU and they all had issues with being dirty or patchy/missing cutie marks so I didn’t pick them up  they smelled good tho.
That sucks...
Do you remember if the boxes were bilingual?
I don’t remember, I just remember they looked bad but smelled good lol Hopefully they get restocked. Seems like places may be getting only one case for now.

I'm from Montreal (Canada) and found wave 1 in TRU, but no sight of wave 2 yet and the boxes are different too... Someone found wave 2 in Quebec?

I know some stores have been taken advantage of before and the distributor purchased bootleg merch. It has happened with Pokemon and YuGiOh TCGs before. You may want to take that up with TrU to see what they have to say.
Another reason I am pretty sure they’re returns is that each one had Their stands attached to the bottom of them and they were already neatly placed in their accessories. I know the ones I bought previously were not like that.

Was the plastic on it absolutely sealed? You don't have any pics of the packaging, do you?
It was sealed, but the cello wrap part easily slides up the tube. It could have been taken off and then carefully put back.
