I collect a few of the dolls and have really enjoyed them! I love that their shoes are scented and I love the outfits. The also have a very soft nylon body. I love the fox and the black cat themed doll.   

The hair is a little difficult to maintain as it is sewed in a single line underneath the hat and falls out very easily.  The hat is also sewed to the head.

I think a lot of the information for cleaning the ponies are crossed over from other guides.  They do seem more durable.   

I've taken a G2 apart and rehaired it.  It has the same joint as a G1 pony.  However, it is a harder plastic and typically takes more force to pop off. I used my hands.  They are not fragile.   They don't have any glue holding the head on.  Once it is off the space is very tight.  It takes pliers and a thin small needle to rehair.  I don't know about the mechanism ones though.

I found one of the series 3 at Walmart in Canada!  They are coming soon!  I wish I knew that they had arrived because I would've bought more of them. 

I'm going to really miss her site! I remember back in the day when it didn't have the photos of the ponies but just the image artwork from the back of each of the mlp cards.  The artwork really was beautiful! She spent a lot of time updating it and I spent hours creating my wishlists or even browsing the ribbon database so I could have the correct ribbon color on each of my ponies.  I'm kind of in shock that it's gone.  It's going to take a while before it actually sinks in for me.

I would collect them!  I already have some of the re-release ones and would love more!  I like the packaging so I would probably pick and choose my favourites and hang them on the wall.
