WIP.. Baby sea pony plushes...

I'm working on getting these done for the fair I just ordered fur, so far the ones in the cards are ponies with purple, pink, blue, or yellow bodies, as that's what I ended up ordering

Patterning is done, and i'm sewing up the first draft tonight.

I'm very very stressed and worrying about money and whether this is even worth it but I think they look ok so far..

Fleece floaties sound cute and practical! I can't help with the fur fabric as I live in a different country, but at least you have a good sounding blan b

Velboa is considered a fur, but it's really short.  It isn't fluffy like minky is but it's SOFT.  There's little to no give to it either so it's easier, IMO, to work with.  I order it from here:

I've actually used their velboa before! I really want something that looks like the g1 plushie fur though.
Did you know Joann's carries glitter velboa now?? Maybe they have for a while but I've never really seen it stocked until recently.. I wanna get some and make some glittery ponies

Edit ok here's my idea...
I got some 2 part silicone mold making stuff, I was thinking id do the eyes in sculpy cabochon style and improvise a way to attach them safety eye style? I think as long as I dont make the eyes too thick it wont matter that sculpy is kind of heavy...

I think that would look cute for the eyes.  The foam bases look amazing so far and I think that these are going to come our as cute as can be!
