That styling head is bizarrely cute and I think it might actually be Hasbro not Basic Fun.

It looks very similar to the Pipp one above and the packaging looks a lot like the retrostyle ponies they did a few years ago.

It just seems such a bonkers thing to make.

I can't help on a true dvd unfortunately (since it's not been released uncut 😞) but archive.org once again proves it's worth with: https://archive.org/details/mlp-rescue-at-midnight-castle
It's the PAL children's library release and I believe unedited.

(it was the version I had as a kid).
You can also download it from the site for a digital copy.

Edit: the same uploader has also put Escape from Catrina on the site as well. https://archive.org/details/mlp-escape-from-catrina from the looks of it (and from what I can remember) it's from the same tape.

Well I know what I'm going to be spending all of my money on!

Medley and Twilight (along with Moondancer and Glory) were my absolute favourite's from when I was little, I only have the comics to blame as those were the only versions of the characters I knew for a very long time and the comics held onto those characters for ages after they'd long since gone out of production. (The fact that they never went into the UK line has been a bugbear for almost my entire life). So Basic Fun, you are literally creating my childhood dreams!

I hope they go on general sale soon.

They're currently out of stock but when they were in stock by Amazon last week as opposed to the scalpers they were £19.99. Unfortunately pay day had not yet arrived at that point.

I can cross-stitch but knitting and crotchet are far beyond me.

I'd assume Toymaster will get them as they've already picked up the anniversary ponies and the plushes (or at least the bigger of the two around here have them). Fingers crossed at least they get a wider release.

I can't add anything go the Sundance discussion unfortunately but, I can say I have a Hong Kong made Skydancer found in the wild at a toy and train fair in the 90s.
