Monster High returns again!

In G1, I didn't think I liked Venus, but when I was sorting out my dolls, I realised that I have...quite a few of them. o.O. And I didn't want to part with any of them. So I guess...I liked her more than I realised?

I love Rochelle as well. Honestly, zombie shake was one of my first acquisitions for both characters and I love it so much they are actually zombie shaking on my shelf with Ghoulia still, despite my having changed them all around.

Rochelle would probably just edge it as she was always a favourite doll of mine in G1 (aside the hair gook ) but Venus would be epic as well, especially if they made a lot of her vines.

I love Venus and Robecca.  I picked Robecca but I wouldn't mind it being Venus.  I like the idea of her being covered in vines.

I picked Robecca as I liked her backstory and design, despite not being a steampunk person at all, and I liked her dad as well. Actually, wasn't the copyright to Hexicah renewed?

excited they are back! saw some locally!  I’ve never collected MH but always admired.  can anyone recommend a good site for MH info? toy timelines? generations?  i want to catch up before i decide to jump in.

(Speaking of Clawdeen pins - has anyone bought any of the "Teen Monster Doll" pins or prints that Garrett Sander's selling on his site? I bought a Clawdeen Teen Wolf Doll pin and got it yesterday, it's so cute! He included a handwritten thank-you note too which was nice Unfortunately he doesn't ship outside of US/Canada so I had to get mine sent to a family friend, but it was worth it!)

We're on G3 atm. G2 aka "Welcome to Monster High" was short-lived and followed on directly from G1 (It's like G3/G3.5 of MLP, they redesigned near the end of the line). G3 is the current line that's just coming out now, but they're also continuing G1 with collector dolls, repros, etc.

I have noticed that these are now showing up on amazon.co.uk, although they are more expensive than I had expected. I'm not looking to buy any of them, thankfully, but they're listing around £29 :/

Oh, hopefully that means they'll show up in shops here sooner or later, then. :o It'd be lovely if they showed up in time for Christmas.

edit: Speak of the devil - I just checked and the 5 signature dolls, plus the car and Clawdeen's bedroom playsets, are up for preorder on Smyths Toys. Says they're expected in stock on 01/01/23.

It's doubtful. We always have a price hike on stuff from the US, and especially at the moment since our currency has gone down in comparison to where it would normally have been.

I'm trying to remember but I think Monster High dolls used to retail between around £16 and £20ish. It's been a while though. BUT with inflation, a weaker currency, import duty and so on...I guess that's where we're at.

There's also the small problem of supplier here I guess. Amazon is probably representative of the recommended retail price in the UK, and Smyths will probably be roughly around that price to begin with. Entertainer don't stock Monster High dolls. There are certain things they refuse to stock on 'religious grounds', and that's one of them.

And toymaster franchise stores aren't in every part of the country.

Eta: I just checked and the placeholders on Smyths' website are also saying £29.99.
