If you wash the fabric first (be sure to put some vinegar into the machine as it helps to fixate the colour) it usually shouldn't bleed out. I have no idea if anyone has tried this yet with their collection, it's just my experience from working with fabrics hobby wise.

Edit - weird sentence structure

Pony Corral / Re: Oxiclean Bath help.
« on: January 04, 2016, 05:28:46 AM »
I've had Glory in an oxi bath for about 6 hours this past weekend and her glitter symbols were the same afterwards, as they were before. They were already rubbed off quite a bit so I figured things cannot get much worse, and I've read somewhere that they won't be affected so I gave it a shot.

My experiences need to be taken with a big grain of salt though as I am still new to all of this and I might just have gotten lucky!

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: What game are you playing? Cont.

Ohh, a gaming thread!

I play a lot, mostly MMOs and city builders. My first MMO was Dark Age of Camelot, which I returned to a couple of years ago and am still playing as of today. I played WoW excessively in the time when I was not playing DAoC, a bit too excessively I have to say, so I am very careful now and make sure to have other hobbies as well (getting back into ponies was actually one of the things I picked up when looking for alternatives to gaming!). I'm pretty immersed in DAoC and do a lot for it besides actually playing it; I have my own Twitch channel & FB page & website, and I also work for the game (again). I've tried many other MMOs, such as GuildWars 2, Runes of Magic, the FF MMO, LotRo, but nothing could really keep me there. Dark Age is simply the gaming love of my life! <3

If I don't play online, I love Banished with CC Mod (1009 hours played, according to Steam). I can get lost there for hours! I can also spend a lot of time in simple games like Bejeweled (1185 hours, well...) or Audiosurf 1+2. I'm less for single player games and I have a tendency to get lost in sandbox games - there is just so much to do, I never know what to do first and end up wanting to do all the quests and not getting anywhere. I might give the new Fallout a try though, not sure yet. Waiting for it to be on a (better deal) Steam sale I guess! :)

:newpony: Welcome to the Arena.  Glad you kept your old favorites, who are they?

Thanks for having me!  :)

I kept Minky, Firefly, Peachy from the Pretty Parlour, Medley, Sunbeam and several others - baby ponies, Twinkle Eyes ponies, Morning Glory (didn't keep the original wings unfortunately), Sugarberry,  my Sundae Best ponies, two Brush 'n Grows and a few others. I also still have many accessories from the baby ponies and first tooth babies. I'll be happy to show a few pictures -  as soon as I  can move again, I got hit by my very first lumbago this morning and I am unable to leave the bed at the moment. Talking about old age!

I managed to move to my computer, where I have a few pictures of my collection. They aren't perfect and I have some new additions on the way (just won an ebay auction on a show stable an hour ago, yay!), but it gives you guys an impression!

The babies, plus some bonus original 80s Strawberry Shortcake dolls

These were additions I made every now and then when I saw a pony in a shop and couldn't resist, plus some G4 and blind bag ponies

Accessories from childhood, plus some Strawberry Shortcake stuff (companions and a shoe, and the pillow probably was from a Barbie bed)

Recent additions. I've got another blossom, she needs a new tail though

Sooo proud on her! She came with the accessories shown and is in mint condition. And it was a bargain too!

More recent additions. They do not fit into my planned collection range but it was an offer I could not refuse!

There are some additional pictures which I put into an album. If anyone wants to take a look, you can find it here: http://imgur.com/a/ayKZ6

Introductions / Hey all!
« on: December 29, 2015, 02:26:20 PM »
Hey all,

I'm Lea, I'm 38, from Germany, and I'm pretty new to the collector world! As you might guess from my age, I grew up playing with G1 ponies and I loved them. I had a collection from over 70 ponies, plus various play sets. As probably many did with their old toys, I sold most of my stuff when I grew up and stopped playing with them. I kept a box of my most favourite and oldest ones though and they always had a place in my heart. I've now decided to try and restore my collection and complete it in the process, and while researching on the net, I found this forum - so here I am!

Aside from MLP, I am into computer games a lot and also work for one as a community person. If I'm not hanging around at the computer, I enjoy crafting a lot - it used to be sewing, now I'm totally into resin casting. I'm living with my finacé and two bunnies. No kids yet!

As I just started collecting, my plans on what exactly to collect will probably still change, but right now, I plan completing/concentrating on G1 years 1 - 5ish, not necessarily all lines per year - ponies take up space! I'll probably be more of a lurker on the boards, but as a total noob, there isn't much wisdom I can add here, anyways! :)
