I put 30+ but I'm not really sure... I've never counted my ponies but I know it's more than 30 G1s.  Not including the bait/rehair bin.... :lookround:

Oh. I missed that this was just for G1. In that case, um, maybe 40?

I tried to count once a couple months ago when my husband was out of town and I had most of them spread out on the bathroom floor; I did a massive spa week while no one was around to complain about not being able to maneuver around the bathroom. But I had some already packed up in boxes and had to estimate; I would say between 300 and 400, spread between gens 1,3 and 4. There are a fair amount of duplicates though, I never know if I should count those or not.

Eta: oops, I missed where it is just for g1. I would say about 250 g1s.

Just G1?
Definitely over 1000 but I don't know the exact number.

But that's a lot because I've been collecting since I was a kid. I only paused for around a year when I started secondary school, and then we went to a lot of car boot sales. My sister and I did pretty well for rarer ponies then, and were able to do a lot of great trades back then. I first came online in 1997 so we're talking more than 2 decades since I started trading ponies over the net.

I also still have all my childhood ponies and so does she. I think my sister has around 350.

I wouldn't be able to build a big collection now. Too expensive. It's much more difficult to get G1s now than it was in the mid 1990s.

If we're only counting G1s...

Code: [Select]
G1: 177 (Including several non-HQG1C customs + Kingsley the lion!)
    Dolls (Megan/Molly): 4
    Pets (Spike, Twinkles, etc): 7
    Porcelain: 2
G1 retro:
    Dollymix: 21
    Running Press: 2
    Hallmark ornaments: 2
    25th anniversary: 1
Basic Fun (35th anniversary and beyond): 8
(9 if you include Twinkles the cat)
    World's Smallest: 6
HQG1C: 36 (3 of which are kitties)
TOTAL: 190 regular, 40 repro (35 counting Twinkles), 36 HQG1C
       266 altogether (counting Twinkles)

...so 266 or so? counting repros and pony pets and etc.

If you're asking about how many ponies I have, total, uhh... *checks spreadsheet* around 900 maybe? It's difficult to get an exact number, my collection spredsheet is just all lumped in together instead of being split up by gen/species/etc.. except for G3 Ponyvilles which I *did* list separately when I first put it together, for some reason! x)

Carrehz, check the spreadsheet! What a good idea!

My spreadsheet says 1033 G1s. It may not be totally up to date. So around 1000 was a good estimate.

That doesn't include sister's collection at all, but does include ones MOC.

@LAW - no holy cows, sadly. Just ponies xD. (Unless Leafy has been keeping secrets from me O.O)

If we're talking strictly G1's, maybe about...20? I'm not entirely certain as they're currently in storage, but I know they all fit in one rather small bin. Well, actually, I forgot about the babies. So maybe around 30?

Truthfully, even though I grew up with the G1 cartoon and had a couple G1s as a child, I didn't really collect them. So as much as I love and and appreciate them, I'm not as drawn to them when it comes to adding to my collection. Nowadays, I'm trying to be more and more particular with collecting items, so I doubt I'll be adding a whole lot more overall.

Hmm I would estimate between 150 -250. Its been such a long time since I have had them all out I really have no idea but I know I have boxes and boxes full of g1s but a set of draws... then still many out on display.
Its not really my fault thou these ponies breed like rabbits
