Oh Hasbro :( MIB damage?
« on: November 13, 2012, 05:50:19 PM »
I bought a new Twilight Sparkle at Target yesterday. I already have her but I decided to try to style her hair and considering my clumsiness getting a new one would be better.

Today I opened her . Of course, her body and head colors doesn't matches perfectly. But there was a new bad surprise. Her plugs were rooted so close to each other, and they are so thick, that it is tearing the vinyl -_-
It is just a matter of time to the vinyl between the plugs fall off the head and ruin the pony.

I can't return her as I opened. Now I not even sure if I wanna risk buying a new one. :(

Pics don't show how bad it is.

Anyway, anyone wanting to share some "fresh out of box frustrations?"  :P

Oh wow! I had this EXACT same problem with a Rarity I bought with the Rarity/Daisy Dreams riding along set! She had her helmet on in the package so I didn't even get a chance to see it. I was so mad! :enraged: So sorry to hear other people are getting it too.  :(

Depending on where you bought it you can return it.  I did it and luck would have it I'll be doing it again at Toysrus...
I explained why she was damaged, got a vacant stare and they replaced the set.

edit mine had the issue of the hair being rooted, that same piece or hair was again re rooted back into her and glued down.

second issue some one cut up my Lemony Gems leg and dripped glue down her front leg...

Oh wow.. that is terrible!!!

I wonder if there's any way you might be able to send it in to Hasbro for a replacement? They are usually pretty good with that sort of thing.

Talk about Quality control. I'm scared to check my ponies...

You really should return yours while you have the chance, Gustyfox. I thought about returning mine, but by the time I took her helmet off and noticed what happened I had lost the receipt so I was out of luck. Why did that helmet have to look so cute on her?  >_<

On the bright side, I now have a great idea for a custom I can make out of her. It'll take a while to get the right supplies, but I'll post it when I do.

Poor ponies. :( Thank you for posting this though. Now I'll know to try and check the hair when I'm buying new ponies.

The customer service in USA is good, I heard a bunch of people getting replacements. But the customer service outside of USA is HORRIBLE!  I emailed my countries Hasbro about various problems that my fashion style ponies had ( airbubbles in the plastic, hair knots, ect) but no one mailed me back...I didnt even get one of those automatical emails!
I even tried to contact Hasbros USA customer service but they dont wanna talk to us foreigners. There is no love for us non-Americans...

I say you go ahead and return it. Target is really good about customer satisfaction, and they will return it to Hasbro as damaged goods. Even if they don't, they probably will contact Hasbro as they can't afford to sell crappy merchandise, as simple as that.
