I think my poor Quarterback I got has cancer, but I'm just not sure, I"m scared to let him around my ponies until I figure out what's going on, he's got like 16 or more brownish yellow spots on his body in various places... here are some pictures, they're not the greatest cause it's super hard to take close up pictures apparently

[moving to the Pony Corral  pop-girl]

OMG! I just finished soaking him in just hot water and I pulled him out, and ALLL  of the spots have turned white! O.O has this ever happened? Is this bad? I have no idea what's going on.

UPDATE #2

He looks so much prettier now <3 the white spots faded back to brown and are slightly less noticeable now... weird o.0...

He apparently has magical disappearing cancer as Chi and I discussed... it's like he's one of those toys that turn one color in hot water and another in cold XDD

I fixed his hair up now too, and it covers some of the more prominent cancer spots. I'm going to fix up his symbols next and then maybe see if I can match paint to his body color and cover up some of the cancer spots mayhaps

  I want to fix him... anyone have any ideas? I know cancer doesn't have a cure... but I desperately want to make him look as good as I can...

and is it true the cancer can spread to others? I've heard both ways.. I'm scared to put him near my other ponies

Oh gosh that looks so scary!! I've never seen that happen before... I hope someone has ideas to fix him for you!
Poor thing looks like he got some ridiculous industrial-strength benzoyl peroxide dropped onto him and left there rather than cancer. ):

... i had a blue princess pony that someone had used some zit creme on and left it on and when i washed it, she had very noticeable lighter patches ... but not like that ... yikes ...

i have no clue unless it's a really weird case of regrind/coloring agent/plasticizer leach out maybe :(

I've never seen cancer spots do that. o__o
Definitely quarantine him for the time being, whatever he's come into contact with seems nasty.

I know this is completely insane! I can't believe the spots turned white o.o... and the weird thing is on the side of the body on the side that has the big white spot on it's shoulder (1st picture), if you look you can see that there looks like there's a really dark shadow... but the plastic is a darker color there, the rest of the body is a lighter blue, that also didn't happen until I boiled him o.o

... i wonder if maybe something was on him when he went into storage somwhere, it got on/in his plastic for a long time and the hot water helped bring it out?

a lot of the cancer spots seemed to be around "child hand grip area" and kids get all kinds of crap on their hands and ponies weren't oeften cleaned after playtime ... :\

I have no idea, but I think I'm going to boil him a few more times just to see what happens, and may throw in some dawn dish soap and give him a good scrubbing, I just hope I can kill whatever causes the cancer so it won't infect my other ponies

From what I've heard, the cancer spots sometimes turn white after boiling, but gradually (over a couple of days) turn back to their previous color. No need for panic just yet! :) I hope he calms down for you soon!

That looks like someone has tried to get rid off those brown spots with acne cream of remove zit. That's why they've turned white.

That's also very common with those creams. Boiling hot water and that stuff makes the vinyl loose it's color. I only know this because I ruined one Boysenberry Pie. :/

hmm... it's a possibility, but I find it hard to believe since the seller really didn't seem to know much about ponies, I kinda doubt that person tried to clean it up, but it's a possiblity, I'm going to let it sit for a couple days and dry out and see what happens
