The unicorns actually look better than the Hasbro ones! They have decent sized horns.

The blue one is lovely! The pink one's body is pretty hideous, though. Too barrel chested and it's rear end looks like it got stopped halfway through melting.
I like the Rarity one too. And the sayings on the box aren't half bad compared to most knockoffs. It's even polite. I'd take her home!
It's too bad we'll probably never get to see any of these in stores. :(

I still keep wondering why G1 had such bad fakies in the 80s and 90s, while from G2 &up there's been such cuties!
G3 & 4 especially have some very good lookin' ladies! ;) They look very real, i like these ones

Since you gotta buy them in bulk, isn't there anything we could do like with the Taobao fakies, and everyone who wants one can pay for it? I want all of these lovely ladies <3 Even the alicorn (poor thing!)

"Bulk" on sites like alibaba is normally into the thousands - as you are buying a manufacturing run not an actual finished product.

Typically these kinds of sites are only advertising that they can make toys similar to the images presented but there's no guarantee you wouldn't receive a totally different fakie mold. Also... most of these sites also have a minimum order of 5-10,000 units at cost and then there's an agent fee and an import fee and a shipping fee. So unless someone here on the Arena has a spare couple thousand and a faint hope to make their money back... a group order isn't happening. :-p

Also the colour of the purple one is much closer to Twilights body colour in the show!
It drivers me insane how far off twilight is colour wise, I may buy these fakirs just to make a show accurate custom of Twilight .lol!
Now that us saying something ... A fake pony is closer to a show pony than a real pony! He he!

I ventured into the Jacko Toys website yesterday. Apparently the fakies-or PORCELAIN ENAMEL CARTOON HORSES I should say-cost zero renminbi. If there's any takers for a few thousand free enamel horses out there don't be shy, but remember, toothbrushes are not included! :lol:
