you can also try fardreamer's amazing website dedicated to pony restoration! http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/fardreamer.html

as far as if it's bad or not to restore - it all depends on the pony, and if you plan on keeping it or reselling it.

rare ponies = no restore, usually - but, it's your pony, and if you plan on keeping it, it's yours to do with as you see fit :)
looking into a re-branding.

Any restorations should be marked on the bottom of a pony foot, like if you touch up symbols or eyes or reroot any hair.

Best of luck with it.

The link kezrob23 posted is full of amazing sources and tutorials as is FarDreamer's site. And if you are stuck about one thing in particular you can always post a thread and ask for advice - people are always happy to help around here I have learned and sometimes you can pick up fantastic tricks and tips. :)

As for "is it worth it"? As others have said sometimes it depends on the condition of the pony as well as who the pony is. At the end of the day the pony is yours so if you want to give it a go and have the time and its not actually going to cost more money to restore her than she is worth then I would say yup go for it - restore away! G1s arent available in store any more so you are giving a vintage pony his or her beauty back!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
