Artist Calender Project -CALENDARS IN HAND!

ok. so i still have a picture i'm finishing for an art trade (so sorry it's taken so long!! but i'm almost done!!)
but i thought i'd see if anyone else was intersted in this.

i have one going in the mh arena too.

so what it is, is 12 artists (maybe 13) ban together. each taking a month and drawing a picture 11 x 8 1/2  with the pony theme. prefer to use the actual characters this time rather than ocs.
all pictures have to be your original work. please no copying or tracing any stock art.
any drawing level is fine.

I'll print them at my work. printing will probably be about 5$ each. and about 3 to 5$ shipping each.
then you get the printed calender in the mail.
(about a 10$ cost commitment if you want a printed calendar- otherwise a digital one would be free)

I'll be printing them at my work which is a professional book making company. so the quality will be good. and the cost literally just cover materials and shipping.
i feel bad putting a cost on it, but since i can't afford to make and ship one for everyone its' only fair for everyone to pay for their own. of course if you want to submit a picture for the calendar and just get a digital copy of the calendar there would be no cost.

what do you think? who want to try this?

it's first come first serve on months and characters. since we don't want to have a whole calender just of mintys (though i know some of you may not agree), lets keep it to 2 appearance by each character, for the really popular characters. any generation is fine.

this is not commission based. all artist are volunteers only.
if i can get more than 5 people i'll fill in the gaps myself if i have to.
the only time any money is changing hands is if you want me to print a copy of the calendar and send it to you.

oh and if you want one and aren't drawing for the calendar, well if it's ok with the artist you can get one too.
there will be no profits made from any of this, but it depends. so artist as you sign up. please say if you are willing to have non-participates get one of the calendars or not. then it will be decided at the end.

Picture requirements are:
-original art
-11x8 1/2 landscape picture.
-theme must match month chosen
-images scanned or sent at 400 dpi (or they will look horrible printed.)
if you can't scan in the image yourself, you are welcome to send it to me, and i'll return your original art with the calendar.

October would be my first choice, Is there any Autumn/Halloween themed My little Ponies from any generation? I do remember Gusty (G1) would be Autumn themed. Are there others?

i'm pretty sure there are quite a few, but in g3 there is autumn sky.
don't know the names of most the rest though.

if you're planning on doing any of the fim characters let me know which so we don't have a whole calender with one character, want to try and get some variety.
as far as deadlines. lets shoot for the first or second week of dec.
gives over a month to work on stuff.
the printing won't take long at all, and most shipping should be with in a week. so everyone should have their calendars before the new year!
so excited. i'll keep this open till it fills in.

ohhhh man this sounds amazing, I would love to do this. I think march would be awesome, then I can do a variety of shamrock and clover ponies

I don't have a problem with people who are not drawing pictures for it to be able to purchase one, it can cover your labor fee!

Also as a heads up, so we don't have too many repeats of characters the 4 I will be drawing for march will be
g1 - Minty
g2 - Clever Clover
g3 - Serendipity
g4 - Lucky Clover

Then we have a clover/shamrock pony for each generation :3

once you've claimed you month you can start drawing anytime, and send your picture when ever.
because of the size requirement you may need to email it to me.
do we want the picture reveals to be a surprise? or just posting them?
