Here is a few of my lucky finds: (well at least the ones I have pictures of 90% of my collection is thrift store/garage sale finds) This one was actually at a thrift store, I still can't believe I found Dream Beauties!

I almost missed them as the bag was in a bin of other craft stuff, Something caught my eye and when I looked closer I saw these in the bag of beads:

about half my collection has come from second-hand sources (garage sales, flea markets, thrift stores, etc) As well as a bunch of Sweetie Pups I found at the thrift store and was going to use for trading for ponies...but just couldn't give them up.

I know both of my Magic Mirror's were from garage sales / thrift stores...Firefly (in pretty good condition, too...I'm WAY protective of her now. ) was from an antique store...And, yes, MIMIC.  I'm not all that fond of Mimic's design, but I know she's hard to find, so I snapped her up when I found her.

I actually passed over a g2 at a garage sale once, because I'm not fond of the g2 line...but now I wish I had gotten it...if only to use in a trade. XP

I've never found a pony or anything pony-related at a yard sale or thrift store...Except one. I found a g3 Waterfire that had clearly been owned by a kid with a very creative imagination but I ended up leaving her behind because she looked unrecognizable. By the time I was half way home I realized what g3 she was and it was too late to go back since they'd closed up for the weekend. : (
I hope to get out to some thrift stores this week now that we have no more classes or anything to do until we move. (:

Ah! Munchy! I would die to find Munchy at a yard sale, she's sooo cute

I've found quite a few G1s at the flea market. My luckiest find was a NM Diamond Dreams!

I found a fair few ponies, but they're from markets and my work. I've gotten a bit lucky but most are common. I honestly don't care that they're common, I wouldn't mind getting heaps of Bowties. ^_^ G1's are more than welcome to stalk me any day!

My grandmother found this adorable Baby Blue Ember at a garage sale a couple weeks ago for 10 cents! Only one found... yet. Tag sale season is only just startin up

I hardly ever have luck at garage/yard sales. Actually... I NEVER do! I did get a few good ones from a flea market last summer, though.
