What is your favorite generation? What is your least favorite?

G1 is by far my favorite, since it's what I grew up with.  I'd say G4 comes next, as I like the anime-style designs and the show.  G3 is somewhere in the middle...I loved them when they came out and there are still several that I really like, but I kind of burned out on them and have been slowly culling the G3 herd.  I used to not like G2 at all, but they've really grown on me and I now have several on my want list.  I also like that they don't take up much space.  G2 and G3 are about tied now.  G3.5 is definitely last.  I like the Newborn Cuties but nothing else.

G3 = I´m now collecting them, and I love them!

G2 / G1 = G2 is my childhood gen  and I like G1, but I have only one baby

G4 / G3.5 = I find them pretty, but G4 for me have weird faces  , very angular and G3.5 remind me a bratz doll

yeah all gens need love too.

i dont want to slam g3.5 like everyone else but they are a little out there but i love the g3.5 newborn cuties and like them more then g2 and g3's so its really hard to put them in order but will start saying G1 and G4 are on my top of the list

G1 is my favorite, my focus, my love!  I got my first (Blossom) when I was four and my last was Wigwam.  (I felt too old for toys, ha!)

My least favorite is G2, though they are growing on me. Same with g3.5, growing more lovable the more I see.  G3 and G4 are great.

But nothing compares to G1 for me!

My favorite is G1. I like a few G3. G2 is meh. Not a fan of G3.5 or G4.

I grew up on G1 and I love how they look, especially their sweet and gentle expressions, so they are my favorite. I started buying G3 for my girls but stopped when they started making the core stuff. G3 grew on me; I love their symbols, how colorful they are, and that they made some really neat collector ones. Recently I've been buying more G3 "for" my youngest, but really they are kind of for me too

Favorite generation: G1
Least favorite:  G4...don't get me wrong, I like G4.  I just don't like the lack of actual MLP toys (blind bags are not real MLPS to me).  And I don't like how small the toys are.

G1 is my favorite gen and really the only gen I like (and even then I don't like many ponies Years 6-10).  I think some of the G3s are cute enough, so I'd say they get a very distant second place, then G4 (concept has some appeal, toys seem cheap).  I think G2 and G3.5 are equally terrible, but I'll give G2 the bottom slot b/c they have the worst looking accessories.  But of course that is just my opinion, and I'm thrilled that other collectors get enjoyment out of them!  The fact that I'm not after other gens only increases the supply!

G1s are definitely my favorites toy-wise because there are so many different ponies and gimmicks, and they look so friendly.
G3s also have a lot of different ponies, although they kind of blend together for me, especially all the white/pink/purple ones.
G3.5 and G4 are kind of tied for last right now; I love the G4 style and the uber cuteness but I'm so bored with the toy line. Plus G3.5 is pure core seven, and that doesn't work for me.

(G2 I've never even seen in person, so I don't think I could form a real opinion on them.)

In terms of the cartoons, G1 and G4 are both really great. The G1 movie and the couple of specials I've watched so far just make me laugh at how bizarre they are sometimes. (The Moochik just brings down Paradise Estate like it's a giant floating toy in the sky... ) I love the soft animation and the personalities all the G1 ponies have. G4 is really fun, and I love the music and those characters too.

I'm one of the few who actually like G3.5, but they're not my favorite.  I prefer G1, then G3, then G4, then G3.5, and lastly, G2.  I've never really liked G2, but a few of them are starting to grow on me.

It's really hard for me to make a hierarchy for them, but still, I think I like G4 the most.

I still really like G1 for nostalgia and G2 since it's the one I actually have (love my Berry Bright!).

G3.5 really weirded me out since I had long forgotten about my G2 by that point and they reminded me too much of Bratz.  Now they're just kind of there, they don't bother me anymore but I don't fawn over them either.

I feel like I can't really say much on G3 since I don't have any and don't collect them either.  I do really like their bright colors though.

G4 is definitely my favorite. I know they don't really look like 'horses', but I think that's why I like them. They're very small and cute. Though I can agree that I can already see it getting a little repetitive.

I would have to agree with others that 3.5 is my least favorite. I think their faces are really... off putting.

I honestly don't like G1 very much. I wasn't a huge fan as a kid, either. I can't even pinpoint exactly what it is. The chubbiness, maybe?

I've always been pretty neutral on G3. Some of them I think are very nice, others not so much. Overall, though, I like the shape of their bodies and faces.

I grew up with G1s and they will always be my favorite by far.

Least favorite would definitely be G3.5. >.<
