I would say when my husban and I went out the restaurant to have a walk in town and there was a flea market , and on the first stand I found my french Seashell , I love her soooo much

hmmm get my fizzy and gypsie for free from a person i got talking to on ebay as she had sent me the wrong order so she gave me a half refund and sent me them as compensation. unknown to her at the time i really wanted a fizzy so when they got here i was a happy bunny and promptly sent here a message sayying thank you she still wont take my money either bless her

I never find ponies at thrift stores.

However, my husband used to work at TRU about 15 years ago. His store stocked G2s at the time and they were clearancing them out for ridiculous prices ($1 for a pony, playsets for $5-7 after his employee discount). I told him to get "one of everything" they had and he came home with a trunkload of G2 pony stuff. I still have some of them MOC to this day.

My BEST is definitely my $.016 Mimic I found on my birthday 

Others I've found at that same store for around that price include Baby Leafy and Baby Lucky Leaf, Edgar the Elephant, Baby Paws, and Little Flitter.I bought a huge lot of 170 G1's for $200, that included all the color swirl ponies, Yum Yum, princess baby sparkle, and several complete sets of other ponies. My best friend started me out by giving me her whole childhood collection of around 40 G1's

It's not much, but early in my collecting days I found a working Sweet Talkin' Pony at Savers for $2. I was such a newbie that it took me a bit to figure out how to make her talk. Besides that, I'd count finding an excellent/minty Locket at a nostalgia/vintage shop for $8, which isn't bad.

MO Mommy for maybe less than a dollar (year ago).

Large Symbol Raindrop for less than $8.

MO Pretty Mane Scribbles for a little more than $2.

Mexican Prince Sapphire for less than $1 (including his crown!).

My 3 MIB Watercolor Baby Sea Ponies for less than $30 each.

And they are the ones that came first to mind.

I'm getting so jealous reading all of these.  The best I've found so far is FS Applejack with massive tail rust.  I got her cleaned up and she sold pretty well, so I guess it wasn't that bad.

Lets see for me that would be getting 16 gen one ponies for $ 5.00 when i was a kid at the flea market.  Currently it would be finding 3 gen three ponies all at once at the salvo.

Lol! I never have anything much to contribute to "bargain" threads...one day...one day I will find that minty Tornado in a car boot sale for £1 And in the meantime I am the last of the big spenders - always paying too much than too little.

I found around 30 MIB G1 Scrub-a-dub-tub play sets at a warehouse many moons ago. I also remember when I went to a local TRU when G2s were just finishing, and found that they still had a G1 Bed and Crib play set o_O; £10!
