Road block on my 1st custom... I need some input!

OK, So I finally have a few spare minutes in between finals to unwind and get back to work on my first custom. She started out as one of the DIY ponies, the plain white blanks that hasbro sells online. (I've never seen them in stores...)
 
 She took a dip in some "sunshine orange" dye a few weeks back, and has been sitting ever since. I picked her back up tonight, and got her completely re haired. I'm still waiting on my order of actual MLP hair, so I used some of that crazy curly stuff that they sell in the craft stores. It worked out pretty well, since I didn't have to separate it into plugs....

Now, here's where I'm stuck....What do I do with her? I was originally going to put a sort of native american looking sun symbol, but I'm starting to doubt myself on that...

Any other ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated! Stupid finals sucked all the creative juices out of my noggin!

oooh i love her just the way she is! but i think i must have a "blank flank" thing. Her eyes are so pretty! And her colour and hair<3

I love her this way too, but its just like shes missing something... I'm debating on pulling the beads out of her mane, and maybe giving her socks and actual hooves...she looks sort of like a buckskin mustang this way...I'm gonna have to sleep on it I think...

I really like her so far. For some reason, she gives me a sorta steam-punk / victorian ish feel. Though that could also be due to the book I'm reading, but...

But I would not put something related to Native Americans, those curly hairs remind me on something more like Greek or Roman style

I agree with Kiwi and Izra.  I think it's because of her blue eyes, they just don't scream Native American to me.  She is very pretty.  Let her whisper in your ear.  What does she want to be when she grows up?

Ooh.. I was thinking Gypsy for some reason... that hair and those eyes... she is beautiful!  Don't take out the gems in her hair, they are so gorgeous!  I can't wait to see what you do with her symbol!

When I saw this girl the first thing that hit me was gypsy. She looks like a gypsy girl. Maybe get some influence from there?
