They did say there were two boxes didn't they? Isn't there a chance the other one has Euro/Non US ponies in it? I just find it difficult to imagine a collector with this much passion (and money) doesn't own ANY non-US ponies? (I think I saw NSS Magic Star there maybe). Hello I have risen from the grave

Linnie (UKMilkyway) had a mini convention before UKPonycon, WAY before. I can't remember who went apart from myself, Linnie and BabyHarmony, all people who aren't really in the community anymore. It was at a city farm somewhere, had tables and stalls and games and even an auction. Can't for the life of me tell you a year or who attended though, and I can't remember seeing that pony there either or else I'd have tried and grabbed her! Very curious.

It's worth noting that we have emailled Hasbro *six times* asking for clarification or help in any form, and had no response. Now in the process of calling to try and speak to a human being who will actually try and work with us in any way whatsoever.
As MLPLaura said already, it was 10k pieces, not £s or $s. Sigh.

I never realised how similar Lyra is to Ice Crystal before, wow! Definitely his daughter/granddaughter in my headcanon  Can't wait for these beauties to come to the UK <3

Gotta admit, I'm siding with the "I think this is a little fabricated" side, personally. The likelihood is just too far fetched, imho. It IS a horror story, alright, just not one I believe

Right, but there ARE people paid actual money to research the market and the consumer base. They are very aware there are adults watching the show, and of course adults have far more money to pour into their own hobbies than children who have to beg mum and dad. We never got show accurate toys in the old days. The original cartoons only featured toys already made, sure, but the Tales episodes featured characters like Teddy and Ace that we would have done ANYTHING for them to have released. Heck, the USA didn't even know Bon Bon, Melody etc were available as toys. They've shifted priorities a little due to their popularity with adults who are willing to be vocal about what they want, and I personally think it's ace.
