Stay safe Blackcurtains.  I have a friend who lives about 30 minutes, and because of the roads they evacuated south.  And I have a cousin in Sarasota.  And in-law’s family in Bradenton.  So I’m worrying about so many folks right now, 😆

I haven't slept a wink and now it's already past six in the morning here in Finland.  

A while ago I watched videos on YouTube where some people had filmed the city where BC lives. There seems to be flooding, in the videos the water was up to the knees of the cameramen. Hopefully it won't go up much more.  I couldn't really see more of the surroundings in the videos, because it's dark there now. In addition to the strong wind, the videos had recorded flashes visible in the sky when the power grid is destroyed.

The news said that the intensity of the storm has dropped to category 2, but is still dangerous.
Tampa Bay seems to be in the most danger.

It’s hard to tell how high the water was at night.  I think we will know better in the morning. It downgraded to a Cat 3 when it hit.

But still, pretty scary.   I hope everyone is ok and clean up goes smoothly.

I’m checking in for Blackcurtains.  She can’t currently log in to the arena but sent me a Facebook message.  She and her kitty are good.  Last I saw she was without power earlier today.

That's good news! Glad they have both seen through the worst. Saw some videos online of the power transformers in that area blowing up in the storm, so it will probably be a while before they get power restored, but it's good to know they're doing okay so far
