G3 Hair Color Guide Anywhere? Needed?

Is there a G3 hair color guide website anywhere? Some of the wikis DO list their hair colors but it says things like "light and dark yellow", which...ok fine, but it wouldn't help match to even any other G3 out there. Both Dollyhair and Shimmerlocks hair websites do associate the colors with the proper G1 ponies, but they don't seem to include G3 on their lists.

Now that G3 is getting older, and people are getting into actually repairing/restoring them, is it something that's needed?
I know it would be probably very tricky to do because several of them are 1 and done's with no other one that ever used that color again (So, like Moondancer G1 adult) which would make the list more annoying to make up. The other variable being that 'nasty quality' hair that some of the 'bargain' ones or Avon ones used that (of course) will never have an equivalent for sale because no one would stock bad hair on purpose.

What started this up, is trying to detect the pink that reacts in sunlight with the glue on ones like Tripsy Daisy that makes that hair color fall out. It used to be just people restoring hair cut or overly-frizz ones of the rare characters (shaved Anchors Away, etc) but with the poor-hairs, the crumbling-hairs, and the over-all g3 not being ultra-common any more, it'll probably become more of a wanted-thing to do to restore them like G1 is now--and a guide would be essential to that.

I don't think there is a complete one. I know MLP Hair Match has it set up for G3 but it isn't finished.

I tried to do this on the Wiki years ago but it's definitely a very difficult task, it was hard to tell if a certain color was batch-different or indeed actually very different. I think it'd be appreciated!

It does look like it's got a good start, but could use some help still. Do you know if the person is still working on it or would use help?
I agree with Tailrusted Tea Leaf that it would be appreciated--especially now as G3 ages and people want to restore or rehair. Having the available color from DH, Shimmerlocks and like HQ or something would be helpful to put all in 1 place.

The MLPMatch already is started, so I wouldn't want to repeat their work.
Do you think I should try reaching out? So many places are defunct now or the owner doesn't look in the mail / responses.

Hey, that's me!

G3 is the gen I dread, to be honest. My G3 collection is nearly complete, but the patterns are a nightmare for match purposes. While I'm not willing to share site login info since it's linked to my Google acct. and other sites, I am always happy to accept match submissions using the form or any of the contact methods on the site.

I'm currently very busy with back-to-school on Monday, back-to-work on 09/09, the SWPA Pony Meet on 09/07, editing My Little Wiki, as well as some ongoing health issues, but I hope that I'll have more time to devote to the match site soon!

currently. I also have a nearly complete G3s (expensive ones missing, the usual) and no MIBs so it's easier to tell the hair apart etc. As a restorer I kept getting questions but they've started going toward G3s and I'm like "well I'm not sure..." so having an authority type site like yours will be super helpful. (Fall is also busy for me, the PFF etc) Whenever you are ready to restart on it or want a list or something, you can send a PM here or so?

i've already been restoring g3s for a good few years (are they as old to everyone now as g1s were to me when i started collecting as a kid? sheesh. time to go have an existential crisis) so if yall are trying to organize and get more information up for them specifically, especially dollyhair colours, i'd be happy to help out!
