I wanna know the story behind Trojan Sunny. Like they made a regular Brighthouse playset, but it was too boring? So they decided to dissect Sunny and that's what made kids go "woohoo yeah yippee Mom please buy this"??? Do you think when this is on shelves in-store, kids are gonna be wowed? Is the thought of having a giant clunky Sunny really that exciting to have? A giant Sunny where if you break her neck and cut her head open, there's a bedroom for Pipp there?

Lots of moving parts in this one, how much you wanna bet parents are gonna complain about how easily it breaks despite the ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR price point?

On one hand, I really like it. I love the concept of a regular, normal house for ponies to live in. This delivers on that. On the other, it's disturbing and weird. Like, funny, but WHY. Why would you design this? Whose idea?? A regular Crystal Brighthouse would've been gorgeous, whose idea was it to make a Trojan Sunny instead???????

Oh and um. Another unnecessary slide tacked onto the playset. G4 and G5 love their unnecessary slides and oversized staircases, don't they...

Trojan sunny is so weird, and funny. It reminds me of Mickey's Clubhouse too, what with body parts being a house and all.

So I had to look up that playset and all I can say is WTH??  That is so weird looking and I'm sorry, but there is something demented about dissecting a pony to play inside of it!

$100 is way too much, so we'll see how that goes.  The playset itself is a cute idea...it's just the packaging idea.

Wow that playset is something else.  I'm trying to decide if I would have liked it as a kid or not.  I'm just not sure...

Anyway, G5 valentines are out in stores around here, here's what I found:

Walmart had watercolor valentines.  They are just a card with a printed lineart scene and 4 paint pads, and a paintbrush you attach.  There is a Sunny design and a Hitch design.  I got these and they were lots of fun, I had great success mixing the colors and such.  Admittedly I did have better success on my second try using my own personal paintbrushes because as you can imagine the ones they come with aren't great   

Kroger had valentines that were a card, an envelope, and a "bag tag" - think a rubber(?) Sunny charm on a plastic clip. (Kroger is a midwest USA grocery store)  I think these had the comic-book/cartoony style art but I could be misremembering.

Target had some as well, I think they were a card, and envelope, and an Izzy and Sunny sticker.  These cards had the CGI art.

I got the bus into the county town today. Their Entertainer had a few things I didn't see here. The slime ponies? And decorate your own squishy Izzy? I have seen the furry ones before, but...I don't know if this is a toy or a craft project...

Factoring in inflation, it would be about 100 - 125 $ today. It'd *still* be worth it, compared to Dissectible Sunny...
