Trying to dye ponies
« on: July 13, 2018, 07:43:17 PM »
I’ve been using a tutorial I found, which basically says boil water, add rit dye, add pony, and in about a min pony is dyed. Well that isn’t working at all 😭 does anyone have tips for dying? Should I leave them in longer? Add more than a teaspoon of dye? Thank ya’ll!

If you're using dye did you add salt? I found that helped, and certain colors never worked for me with regular Rit (read: Blues).  Definitely use more than a teaspoon, pretend the pony is a yard and a half of cloth.

Use Rit Dyemore instead...but go easy.  Until you're used to it don't dump the entire bottle in because it'll suck into the pony pretty easily.  You can always add more dye, but you can't un-dye a pony.

Guess my Nightlight custom's gonna be really dark :/
