Cleaning Flocked ponies

What's your favorite way to clean REALLY dirty flocked ponies?  Cold water and dawn--with a tooth brush?

I actually just cleaned mine today! I used a mix of cold water, oxyclean, dawn, and a little bit of bleach. By the time I was done cleaning them that water was black. So gross. But they're looking good now!

I use a spray on carpet shampoo them rinsed it off wth cold water

I normally just use a toothbrush alot of scrubing with tooth paste in cold water.  I guess my so soft ponies like to smell minty fresh.

Cold water is a must, hot water can dissolve the glue on the flocking, and never ever boil them.

Antibacterial soap did a pretty decent job on my horrible dirty sosofts the other week. But it didn't take out all the stains...at least it made their fur shiny and nice and not covered in goo.

This is what I used to do! It didn't ever take any of the really nasty stuff out, but I was afraid I would bleach the cutie marks or something if I used anything harsher.

I love threads like this. The oxy clean is a good idea.

I think I try to go with oxy clean next time maybe that might help my so softs when I clean another bunch.

Oh wow. I can see how that would be super effective. We still have some left over from steaming our carpet a few weeks ago... did you dilute it like crazy? Hopefully the ponies didn't smell bad after?

The stuff we have doesn't smell bad so no dilution necessary. But I let it soak in for a few minutes before blotting it off with water. Then soaking.
